It's very hard to sing something in Gaelic if U don't know this language. I'm a Polish and I love this song and I know that my Gaelic is hidious. But, try to sing something in my language and I will tell U the same thing, that ur polish was mispronounced :) (And my english is not good also ;) )

Unless, the aim of the artist was to do an exact replica of the song, or you were referring to her pronunciation (which I can't comment on) then she can't get the words wrong! Folk music evolves, think how many versions there are of raggle taggle gypsies! Although the fishing on the hill was a bit odd, most version have sit!

About the sit/fish thing... I am aware that most versions do say "sit", but no matter how many times I listen to the Anuna version, I can't hear her saying "sit", she sings "fish". So I just decided to go with that since that's the version I was trying to imitate.

Thank you very much. I don't remember what suil a ruin actually means, it's Gaelic. In any event, the reason why you probably didn't get some of the words is because the chorus is in Gaelic and the remaining lyrics have a rather Old English feel.
