  • yeah i bought all my games becuse i saw it on youtube made by my favorit commentaters

  • well you can watch on netflix so they are stupid.

  • Quick, everbody panic!

  • I bet sopa has somethink to do with this ..

  • Acta is alot worse!

  • *Comment removed by bill S.978*

  • if it happens it would be the end of YouTube for me unfortunately since the only reason i became a member was to upload older system speed-runs that I've completed i don't see the point in doing this since we don't take credit for anything and in my case i even give away free advertisement by making sure the links to the company s site and where to buy the game is in the description of each video so i think this is a very bad move and YouTube would lose many members

  • And now its SOPA.

  • looks like s.978 transformed into the more horrific SOPA. fuck them both

  • 204 people hate youtube

  • this bill would shut down youtube

  • Politicians are like slinkies. Good for nothin and fun to drop down stairs. :D

  • if this bill is passed i will walk down to washington D.C with my shotgun

  • Screw this outragous bill. When we post lp's, we arent doing illegal things like posting free downloads or anything like that.

  • @julienmauricemort yeah! in fact, as this guy here mentions in his video, that people like us who post lp's of video games, we are actually helping the video game industry actually get more money.

  • i am hearing that the bill has been denied

  • i guess the people who dislike this video want youtube down

  • All in favor of moving to Canada, say 'I'.

  • They take my James Rolfe and Chris bores I kill them and yogscast stays because they

Met notch and are friends of him

  • ALL MOVE TO EUROPE!

  • Think this is bad? Look at SOPA. If someone uploads anything copyrighted to youtube ALL of youtube get's shut down without warning.

  • Luckly, I live in Canada.

  • God fucking damn it WHY THE FUCK WOULD THE GOVERNMENT DO THIS!!! Fuck this shit! I will kill myself if this happens! I will not hesitate to do it!!! This is fucking BALLS!!!

  • If this passes, the internet will be destroyed. Funny the only thing Congress can agree on is things for big companies. Yet they just can't agree on problems like the debt, and the recession. Seems all they care is getting money for themselves, and care for no one else who suffers in process.

  • @theaznpete Which is one of the reasons this bill shouldn't pass.

  • quick, copyright everything you can think of that isnt already, then we can fuck with them too :D

  • there gonna fine us for helping people with walkthroughs and reviews WTF FUCK AMERICA AND MAKE A VIDEO GAME COUNTRY

  • @MrYokokurama1

    amen

  • They don't care if video game material is being censored, because this is not about copyright, its about government controlled censorship of the internet. They have the FULL power to remove any website that ANY user has uploaded copyrighted material onto. That means any website could be taken down due to one random person uploading a song to it. The government will pick and choose which sites are removed, and effectively censor the American internet to their own desire. Home of the free, right?

  • I'm writing my persuasive essay for my language class on this. :)

  • @zackery261 good job. im screwed if this bill gets passed.... use my quote in your essay:

"This bill will ruin my career as a gamer" - PS3 Gamer

  • @GoldenACENation LOL I just might

  • @Phillegoboy12345 Youtube is an american owned company, therefore is effected by this bill. so no matter where you are in the world you wont be able to upload video game footage to youtube...

    Its bullsh*t, i know.

  • It would affect you even if you are in another country but only american game companys

  • That bill is unconstitutional therefore, should be thrown out

  • @vic7ndify it's not unconstitutional any more than New Jersey's gun laws are. Look it up.

  • @alecazam3567 -_- its was a joke

  • Do you think that it counts if I made a remix of ghosts n stuff with none of the actual song in it?

  • PS: What's that game at 3:30?

  • @CorvetteBG "Magicka"

  • If that happens then shit, half of the video game videos will be removed.

  • America is free? fuck me. If this is what free means i might as well just move so i can continue making videos uninterupted.

  • Sure, protect movies from being illegally distributed. That's fine.

But, making video game streams and let's plays a felony?

Stupidity has gone to a new low, 'cause last time I checked, there is a gaming section to Youtube. Practically half, if not more, viewers are directed here. Now imagine that gone in a blink of an eye. YouTube ain't gonna make much more money if that happens, and we aren't gonna be much happier anyways. And any other website connected to Youtube would be devastated.

  • Did i get brainwashed or something? PEOPLE HERE TOLD ME THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY!

  • hmmmmm...lets see them fine me....from LONDON, muhahahahahahaha!! i shall move there and they wont stop me!!....but im not good at games D:

  • @ZombieBoyDude Yeahhhh, but Youtube owns your video, and Youtube is American, so :/.

  • I think there wouuld be a revolution if it had been passed

  • So there expect to tell 100000 people to delete there videos? pathetic

  • But here is a question. So if this Bill will succeed. How would it affect non-americans. Are we committing a felony becuase we are posting lets-plays on an american site?

Im not sure if I understand how for example the whole of european uploaders would be called criminals by the american law. For americans to upload they would commit a felony. SeaNanners would commit a felony but Tejbz would not?

  • think about it, this would also be the end of newgrounds

  • I'm sorry I thought this was America.

  • aw crap :(

  • Declare war on the federal government, lets clear out our people in power and put people in who are not corrupt

  • I thought it would only affect people who make a profit.

  • Would this also mean that livestreams of ESL games become a felony? Tournament streams of FPS's, MOBA's, and RTS's?

  • its not happenin in Canada right?

  • @Skyrim12345 It affects everyone in the world beacause unfortunately youtube was made in the us so it still afects canada :/

  • we're in a recession... and they're worrying about video game streaming.

  • I would NEVER have bought Minecraft if it weren't for the gameplay footage on youtube. It would look awful on the cover in stores...

  • You can bet that someone is making a ton of money somehow if this bill gets passed, otherwise it would never have seen the light of day.

  • These goverment bigwigs need to remember that the only reason they're higher up is because they only serve as a voice of people with the same ideas. Now they think of make decisions FOR the people. And that's when you get retarded laws like these...

Basicly, NOBODY would want this rule because it's a big blockage in freedom of speech.

  • Comment removed

  • For those who dont live in the US and think it wont affect them. Well Youtube is an US company so because the US want a bad rule then the whole world would have to bend to them. Let's just make pizza a vegetable for the entire world.

  • @cryptoarbiter hope you know the bill did not pass

  • @xandar78 What do you mean it didn't pass? They haven't decided on it yet. The bill was just renamed PIPA/SOPA.

  • @MissPielops last i heard it didint pass gess im rong

  • @MissPielops and ACTA

  • They do realise that gameplay vids and stuff is one of the best type of advertisement, Some of my favorite games i got because i sw videos.

  • Im from the UK Trololololololol..... oh wait, i can't watch Nanners. Awwwww.....

  • This is bullshit. I'm moving to another country if that is passed.

  • The bill is influenced by people who have a problem with the way things are, not the ones who enjoy the freedom of information the internet has provided.

  • what the hell? I won't be able to make a cover video about a song? or even download the tablature of that song?

  • fuck you think thats bad? the new defense law they are trying to pass could land you in Guantanamo bay for life without trial.

  • Comment removed

  • that doesnt make sense, if someone plays a game, theyll get sponsored by the game developers advertising it making the developers more money, how could that be a felony its a circle, plus how are America going to arrest people doing it in England

  • @JimiiBee They dont. Its the american federal law.

  • The government is going crazy!!! America is looking at China WAY too much... China=Basically INTERNET illegal.

  • Fuck the trillions of dollars in debt we have, the economy in a recession, and 9% unemployment, we have to make sure people aren't watching family guy on the internet. lol government priorities.

  • It's like in Red Dead Redemption, the government is crap!!!

  • i'm not rejecting s.978 for Justin bieber

    i'm doing it for FREEDOM

  • Fuck, do I wish the baby boomer generation would fuckin' die-out already! Also, Gen-xers are just as fucked too! <----My generation...

  • TOOOOO WAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • Dang it my intire channel will be basically wiped if they approve of this bill. Not to mention games will die. D;

  • vevo, umg, sme, and now this!?!

FUCK THIS SHIT, if this bill is approved i quit youtube!!!

  • @ChBgt909 Dude, if the bill was approved, almost everyone on youtube would quit... and almost 95% of youtube will be gone.

  • Lol, and what was that game with the lightning Doll? Looks fun.

  • @SpectrumA96 : I hope not. It's dumb. Why the hell would that be a felony?

  • Would this bill make MLG events illegal? If so then that sucks.

  • READ THIS ITS DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This purpose of this bill is reasonable and necessary to protect the rights of the media industry, however you cannot infringe on the rights of certain industries and consumers to protect others. An addition without reprecussions could be as simple as adding a statement such as "Any individual legal owner posseses the right by law to allow their individual how does this sound... legal?

  • And THIS IS WHY I HATE AMERICA, Stupid laws like this

P.s. Did it pass? Well obviously no, But is it still in consideration??

  • @Toastwilleatyou Everything is always kept in consideration, even after a veto or majority decline. Many of our US laws were denied the first couple passes, only to be passed a generation or so later. Mark my words, American censorship will happen soon. And there's little to nothing we can do about it. Not while greedy corporations own the bank accounts of the house senate.

  • @darktorbin So, It's still in consideration? Dang >.>

  • @darktorbin Feel's great living in a free country doesn't it?

  • did they vote on it yet cause this vids kinda old

  • @szczepkowicz236 no but they will soon

  • Might as well take away freedom

  • IM SORRY FOR SAYING THIS BUT: Does this bill really effect X? Because he barely uplaoads anything anymore.

  • @TheImagamer true

  • WRF is going on?! Got damn :(

  • guys, im scared. please, who else is scared?

  • Attention non-Americans: If you want some idea of how we think, DO NOT LOOK AT THE GOVERNMENT.

  • @pocketlint60 do not worry the simpsons already gave you a ton of points

  • @pocketlint60 loll

  • What a stupid bill. Our country is completely stupid.

  • @NewYears1978 its not stupid its corrupt

  • @tavogp it is stupid you idiot the us government is trying to ruin the internet for every one

  • @NewYears1978 They just gotta get involved don't they?

  • @NewYears1978 i thought i would NEVER say this but yes, our government is fucking retarded

  • People can't be this dumb. Read the bill. This has nothing to do with fair use (journalistic and educational purposes), this is simply expanding on the laws we already have in place for copyrighted works and is defining it for the digital age. It has nothing whatsoever to do with fair use, parody or even Machinima. Be smarter. And if you are stealing and pirating, enjoy your fines and jail time. :D

  • @MYUproductions THAT is the main problem about this bill, it DOESN'T say anything about it. That is VERY BAD when you talk about laws cause this means it's up to the judge which means you can take someone to court for something that is completely okay and thus completely either force this person to stop doing his fair stuff or to let him go to court and get RAPED by big corps lawyers. Interpretation is very dangerous in laws, and it will be abused by copyright firms within the fucking week

  • @MYUproductions Well as i was watching your profile i just happened to see that you have several X-men episodes as favorites. Isn't that some way of stealing and pirating? I will quote you 'enjoy your fines and jail time. :D'

  • what happened to america?!?!

  • Signed. Because this is absolutly rediculous.

  • Comment removed

  • Completely retarded I agree. But, wouldn't a video game company be able to say " We allow our content to be used in youtube videos in any manner by anyone" Or something a long the lines of that? Wouldn't it be exactly the same as allowing an individual player to do so?

  • Holy shit does this affect the YTP community too? I hope not. Spongebob won't be able to sell frenchtie bowfries by himself!

  • check out the house version, there's a section banning people who pirate software from killing people (page 62). Im not so sure what that has to do with stoping piracy, to be honest.

  • whats the game played on 4:15 ??

  • @jeganmic you’re a fucking idiot! what the game is, is NOT the point of this video! its what’s being said!!!!

  • @firruna we ask questions which we dont understand you unfucked virgin!

  • The bill is specifically for TV shows and FILMS. Why would video games on youtube harm anyone? If anything, it would help sell the game more. Stay updated folks. Geez

  • @jeffly Because the bill covers ANY copyrighted material, including games.

  • I'm from the UK, sorry!

  • There never was freedom for USA. :(

  • In terms of copyright, let the companies handle it. Streaming videos on youtube? Take down their account and keep them from making any new accounts. No point in doing crap like what the government is doing.

  • FUCK THIS STUPID BILL. Without viral gaming videos like this, not only Youtube, but the whole gaming industry is FUCKED. Can you imagine Starcraft 2 without Husky? EXACTLY.

  • Bulls $h1+

  • @lechaos1 LOL

  • It's ok, because we will still have GameFaqs walkthroughs. People will just have begin to like reading lots of text. No worries here. :D

  • I like how Notch linked to this video from his blog.

  • fucking americans

  • idc

  • Is this bill for USA or international?

  • @nejckra USA

  • @Thodstan Thanks for the answer. What I don't understand is if I upload videos of gameplay, will they be removed and an interpol warrant taken out on me?

IMO it's stupid to make a national law for an international thing (not that law should be made international, not at all)

  • @nejckra yes, they will be removed for you. youtube is a company stationed in america and if you upload a video from say sweden, it will get taken down, you will not be fined i don't believe, but you cannot post the video.

  • @nejckra USA i believe D:<

  • im not from america, ill just go to a european vidsite

  • Comment removed

  • No-one in their right mind would stop people psting videos of their games because it is a massive free form of advertising, look at every top viewed video of the day on youtube at least ove of the top 8 will be from machinima, that kind of publicity would cost millions to advertise anywhere else

  • Well, then the developers should ask the government not to pass this bill?

  • Has anyone contacted Machinima about this? They have the potential to tell a wide range of people quickly.

  • 202 government fags disliked this!!

  • the rich run this country : / really, dose our media need more power and money then they already have. First it starts off this way if the bill is passed 'seems' harmless enough, what next will we have to give away? this will kill half the internet, Most musical artists and culture I have learned about was from uploading to the internet, soon we will have to pay just to browse the web, or they might filter google like they do in china. Our news would already be more censored and controlled.

  • Occupy youtube?

  • when will we know for sure if thise stupid bill has gone through?

  • nooooooooooooooo (dot) com :{D

  • i'm not from America

  • NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This bill doesn't change copyright law. It's aimed at people who are making a "financial gain." No one's going to pursue your downloaded videos as long as you are not profiting from them.

  • @ChomskyandCheetos Wrong, it is not only commercial, it is simple distribution.

  • @danielkronos

That's not my opinion, that's the opinion of Terry Hart, copyright attorney. I'll trust the opinion of an expert in copyright law.

  • @ChomskyandCheetos Did you actually read the bill?

  • @danielkronos

yeah, I did. The only thing the Bill technically does is increase the penalty for streaming copyrighted material for financial gain. However, my interpretation, or anyone else who is not a legal expert is inconsequential. Everytime I see a quote from an attorney, its almost always the same (i.e. some people have incredibly overblown the effects of this bill, and that this bill changes nothing).

  • @danielkronos

You really think video game companies have a problem with "let's plays?" Does a "let's play" increase or decrease a person's desire to purchase the game? Well, unless the game is garbage (which you can pre-discover now anyway), I would say its a boost to video game sales.

  • @ChomskyandCheetos It is not the game companies that make laws, it is the goverment, in case you didn't know, if it helps the companies or if it makes the situation worse (wich it does not) doesn't really matter, when you add to the facts that the people currently running society and writing laws clearly don't know the legal differences involved between a Star Trek Episode and a Minecraft video.

  • @danielkronos

Obviously companies don't delegate international copyright law. However, they are almost solely the one's that choose to file suit, and who to file against. Once again, does no one care what experts in copyright law have to say about the bill? My opinions are formed from experts in the field.

  • "The bill is meant to target streaming video (it's called the Commercial Felony Streaming Act) of copyrighted material (like TV shows and sporting events) for financial gain. The bill does not criminalize uploading videos to YouTube or streaming videos at home."

    Terry Hart, copyright attorney.

  • Come on we are the internet. lets protect our freedom of speech!!!
