Reading all these comments for songs from Eiffel 65's first album 'Europop' and it seems only kids used to listen to them back in the day. I will admit I was a kid too. Europop was the first album I ever bought!
Being in college now and remembering the day i brought this cd into my first grade class to listen to brings back such awesome memories. this album is definition of nostalgia
Listening to the album now puts a smile on my face and my eyes all misty. Since this is what I listened to when i was a kid..now im graduating high school this year :)
Jesus im only 15 now but man i remember me being like 9 years old and fucking jamming out like no other. I dont know why, but memories like this will always stay with me. Long Live Eiffel 65<3
I got this album in 1999. And I still have it and listen to it often. Blue was their least greatest song and unfortunately that's the only song everyone on the planet seems to know. :\
I now understand the meaning of this song. Anyone who does not feel something while listening to this song has not been to the edge. I have been to the edge, but I just haven't realised! Thumbs up if you have been to the edge.
When I was a kid I walked home from school one day...I think it was in 3rd grade or something like that and our neighbors we're outside blaring move your body on a stereo and they we're all dancing...I asked them the name of the band and when they told me I immediately begged my parents to buy their cd...EIFFEL 65 FOREVER MAY THEY NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.! I'll never forget being a little kid and dancing to this band every day in my room causing my parents to come and get mad at me...they rock!
so many people were 5 years old listening to this lol. I remeber being about 11 or 12 kicking this album on two 6x9's :P thought I was beast too..good times..good times
Now, I know that a bunch of people are going to be replying to this comment and saying that I'm a weird freak, but I would be interested if any decent person could give an honest answer. This is a message to all people who get nostalgic (memories) when listening to songs like this. My question is, what kind of things do you think of when you get memories? I, for example, tend to think of spaceships and cool stuff. I'd be interested if anyone agreed with me :)
This is my favorite song off the whole album. Don't get me wrong, I still love 'Blue', 'Dub in Life', and 'Silicon World', but I love the trance-ish-ness of this song.
@NefariousEvildoer THUMBS UP 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000X
I didn't even know they were a boy band... Just goes to show they really were, and are on such a higher level than todays watered down talentless trash.
i was just re-diagnosed with cancer and listening to this song on the way home makes it okay. yea, it's my third time having it, and i just turned 16.
.. yeah. This is pretty much one of the reasons I've always told people music kind of peaked in the 90's. So much better than the mainstream drudge in the charts atm..
i was made fun alot growing up but when ever i would listen to this song back then it would brighten my day, even with my chronic depression, and being made fun of because i have epilepsy and every so often i would twitch a bit, and having a crush but not having the courage or the confidence to do anything about it. but eiffel 65 now just reminds me of those days and i wish i could undo everything... yeah its depressing to me
@spawn10317 why so depressed? make the best of whats been delt to you no point in just feeling shitty about urself, if its so bad make a change what do you have to lose??
@dohcneon1 chornic depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in ones brain. i can't really control not being depressed unless i take my anti-depressents but even then i can't help but feel slightly depressed all the time
the song just makes me want to go back in time.. hell i would do anything to go back to that time, 8 years old and loving everything there was about life.. including eifel 65 of course
I have a much greater appreciation for trance and electro 10 years after first hearing this song and I can say that even though I'm a hardcore metalhead, this song is still epic.
i remeber playing tekken 3 to this song when i was 4, man and now nobody ever listens to them, COME ON WAKE UP PEOPLE, this music is the bast, its got the biggest legacy known to man =D
song brings me back to the good yeas o being like 7 o 8. this shit was the soundtrack to my lie then....heres to the good yeas and hopefully many more to come.!!!!!
omg you had to have been of age and know what he was talkin about to appreciate the lyrics ! I was 28 laugin after the 8/0s and god i miss em all. Life has been an awsome journey and all you have to do is check your ticket number to know how good the ride was or is gonna be!
Its funny how now-a-days you cant find decent music like this anymore......plus alot of us who were teens listening to this were trying to find what music worked at the time....im a metal head now...this is still good for the nastalgia though
@Savagewrath666 most people who hail from the 90's sort of moved out into greater and bigger genres. honestly i never really left the 90's. i went on to explore dance/eurodance/trance, and all kinds of pop from the 80's and 90's. of course i have a decent collection of todays pop though.
ahaa haa! I got a brittney cd for my b-day while brother got this. of course, i did love brittany back in the day, but i did steal the CD from my brother. I listen to it all the time x3
wow this song takes me back to the good days when i was like 5, hangin out with my little 5 yr old friends bumpin to this song haha, cant believe im 16 and half the people i know dont even know about their legacy
@Driftingdojo123 Lol, my cousin showed me the CD when i was 6, and i got upset when he couldnt burn it on his computer (you know, since it was back in 2000 and the computers werent so great) so he gave it to me. @Driftingdojo123 I am amazed that you remember this song; I had my baby niece, now sixteen listening to this as a child, and she only remembers bits of this...
Congratulations on seeing sixteen my dear friend, and I hope to see you see many more. Until next year learn an instrument and play this for me?
@Driftingdojo123 haha same man i was like 6 when i heard htis and now im 17 I use to love eiffel 65 then bloom 06 was alright in a few ways but its good to know eiffel 65 is back togeather cant wait for their single which was suppose to be out last year though

ive been paroozing thru random music for the last 15 years of my life and im still stuck on replaying eiffel 65 europop. most definitely one of the coolest cd's ive ever heard. timelees for certain
@dadodj89 Good news, then: They're currently working on a fourth album. In the meantime, if you haven't already, go listen to Bloom 06. It's the project Maury and Jeffrey did after Gabry moved on to other things. It's a bit darker, and a bit less catchy at times, but it's still wonderful. Gabry's back now, though. Can't wait for the fourth album!
There is something about the new bands and singers, they can't scratch the itch that old musicians seemed so capable of doing. I found myself turning back to music from groups like Eiffel 65. Such a shame that music nowadays is nearly all a remix or stolen material from old groups.
@sincra I agree maybe becuse today's musicians, singers and artist don't put there soul in there music the way old musicians did. threre only concern is money and fame but music is being kept alive by people like me and Ronald Jenkees cuse we play music not for fame and money but for FUN!!
i was 6 and my older brother got this cd and i would ask to listen to it all the time... god i cant believe its been so long since then.. these songs never get old
I don't listen to electronic music at all, but this just has something to it. This was my first album ever when I was a little kid. I can still listen to it even though I listen to rock only (only except this). The song is very energetic and happy. It gives me a good feeling when I listen to it.
@hranolka12 i definitely feel the same way, i never listen to this style of music or like it, but only eiffel 65 i really enjoy. Also my first album as a kid, when it came out. :-)
Ahh i remember listening to this CD when i was 8 or something anyway it was my 1ST CD and its awesome i also lost it pissed me off o well now i can hear it anytime thanks

Uważam, że to najlepszy utwór z albumu europop, jak również najlepszy od eiffela :)

There is something about the new bands and singers, they can't scratch the itch that old musicians seemed so capable of doing. I found myself turning back to music from groups like Eiffel 65. Such a shame that music nowadays is nearly all a remix or stolen material from old groups.
sincra 1 year ago
@sincra I agree maybe becuse today's musicians, singers and artist don't put there soul in there music the way old musicians did. threre only concern is money and fame but music is being kept alive by people like me and Ronald Jenkees cuse we play music not for fame and money but for FUN!!
