it kills me when guys crank speakers, to show off those speakers and then maybe not realising that the tiny mic on your camcorder cant handle much SPL..so it sounds like ass, an absolute distorted mess. Isnt that the opposite of what you were trying to show us? Id much rather hear lower volume clean sound that actually shows off the speaker. So what if they can play loud..ofcourse they can..take it off 11 and record it on 3.
I prefer passive for the reason of low spl output. i believe these put out about 117 db where as my passive 12 inch ev's will do like 131 -132. Much better.

@MacAndStuffVideos Good choice lol the light in this video is an LED Moonflower light (not halogen) =] you can find very cheap ones on ebay and they work BRILLIANT!. (this one will easily project beams of light up to 10-20 meters) and the first track is "Go Away (Kamui Mix) - Kamui" enjoy :)
Hey, I just bought a pair of Mackie thumps. The continuous rms is only 150 for lf and 50 hf. Do you keep the ol light clipping when you play it that loud? If so, how long have you been doing that and are they still fine being pushed to clipping point all the time?
@djtri if the OL light is not pulsing. and its just "on" ... that means turn it down, if its flashing... well you can have it flashing all night and nothing will happen.
