i could list about 60 players i'd rather have on the rockets' squad than mcgrady. he plays about 20 games a season and takes up so much cap space. plus, the rockets statistically win more games when he's out.

when the most expensive player on your roster gets reinjured every season, and when he IS healthy, you win less games... well it speaks for itself don't it? cut the dead weight. he's not right for the team.

the point is... sure... mcgrady is a talented player... but does he bring a lot of value to the rockets? no. hes dead weight on the roster most of the time. he can make make moves to the basket (when he's healthy), but the rockets dont need that right now. the guy tries to carry the whole team on his shoulders when the team doesn't need it. he's just slowing them down. i say he should come off the bench all year - he would bring more to the team that way. if it aint broke, don't fix it.
