I don't think you understand this whole "myth". It's not a myth, and it's not about just any silverware in the microwave. It's absolutely 100% true, you can get arcing like you saw with the foil - but you probably won't get it with just a spoon. If there were metal in that bowl, you'd probably see some arcing. If you had used a fork, you probably would've seen some arcing.
You've also got soup in that bowl - any electricity probably ran through the water in the soup rather than arcing.
i have reason to believe all you did was stick it in the microwave, then after you "started it" or went to the orange screen, stoped the camera, took out the spoon, opened it when it reached about 2 seconds, placed the spoon back in (microwaves pause when you open them) and show the part where your taking the bowl with the spoon out. cheezy video effect. nice try for manipulation, but its fairly simple to do, and metal will spark in the microwave (stop trying to get kids to burn their microwave)
No, I left it in there for the whole minute. In fact I recorded it the whole time, but didn't want to put the whole thing in the video. Try it yourself. If it starts to spark open the door up really fast like I did with the tinfoil.
One thing my friend and I used to do is to put a light bulb in a glass of water and put that in the microwave. The light bulb lights up. It's kind of neat. I don't know if it can damage the microwave or not. I should know that stuff, having a background in electronics.
Try putting aluminum foil in the microwave. You will get blue and orange flashes of "stuff"

Your intro's awesome, and like the mythbuster, i left the wrappers on some butter once when i was really young, and watched the sparks fly! :P

Okay, I'll comment on your new intro if you will.
It's your old intro, just 15 seconds shorter :).

Metal will spark in the microwave oven. It's possible that certain types of metals don't. If you put a twist tie in there it'll catch fire.

Ya, if you'd watched till the end you'd know I proved that:)
