Nah, more problems with initially accelerating up to speed. Engine will choke and backfire if I don't back of a few times while trying to take off from idle. My engine rpm sits lower than yours when cold though (+-800rpm). It's real issue for me.
Check how dirty your throttle body and intake manifold are, they get pretty grimey after a while and can cause problems. But I know what you mean, I've had the issue before. New o2 sensor, new intake manifold gasket and cleaning the throttle body mostly corrected it. Hope that helps.

@spvd02 Once warmed up my idle rpm is about 650.

Do you have any cold start hesitation with the Hurricanes? My BF definitely does, but I'm not sure what to blame.

@spvd02 As in when turning over? Yes there is some hesitation, I'm currently suspecting my aging battery.
