  • Point taken. Thanks for the advice. I might need to check to make sure the intake manifold gasket is OK, as well as clean a few bits and pieces, like you said.

  • Nah, more problems with initially accelerating up to speed. Engine will choke and backfire if I don't back of a few times while trying to take off from idle. My engine rpm sits lower than yours when cold though (+-800rpm). It's real issue for me.

  • @spvd02 Once warmed up my idle rpm is about 650.

    Check how dirty your throttle body and intake manifold are, they get pretty grimey after a while and can cause problems. But I know what you mean, I've had the issue before. New o2 sensor, new intake manifold gasket and cleaning the throttle body mostly corrected it. Hope that helps.

  • Do you have any cold start hesitation with the Hurricanes? My BF definitely does, but I'm not sure what to blame.

  • @spvd02 As in when turning over? Yes there is some hesitation, I'm currently suspecting my aging battery.
