  • See? This is why nintendo KICK ASS. LITERALLY.

  • im so glad doom 1 and 2 hit XBLA mw2 and bfbc2 are good but doom remains the best shooter of all time

  • its hard to hear

  • This is 16 bit music at it's best!

  • obviously the 32X version is better...

    NOT!

  • snes sounds badass but graphics sucked but still badass music

  • Midi > SNES > 32X

  • Bad graphics but great music

  • WHAT A BREATH OF FRESH AIR! I just listened to the Sega 32X version of this song. It sounds like fart, literally. SNES version sounds waaaaaaaaay better.

  • Haha, you're right. It does sound like fart.

  • @TheTKC

The 32X music would be cool for a diffrent type of game but not this type of game (good game) haha

  • man snes music sounded soooooo much better than the sega did!!!

  • im rank it 5 star and a subcribe!

  • looks like the head is moving to the music

  • it's master of puppets! (not really, but it sounds alot like it!)

  • actually, it is based on another metallica song called no remorse

  • could this be done on guitar? if so can any1 send me a link to the tabs

  • just joking.. its 16 biyt i know xD

  • pc version is the best for gameplay.. but the music of this one rokcs!.it doesnt even sound like 8 bit XD.

  • The PC version is the best in my opnion.

    Don't thumb it down.

As for the console ports, the 3DO versio has got the best music, just listen to the 3DO Doom music, and see!

The SNES version is jsut too pixelated and hard to controll, the 3DO's version has got too small screen... the PC version is the original and best!

  • I respectfully disagree, I think the snes version is WAY better, it has more depth in my opinion than the PC version and it's the one I'm more familiar with because I grew up listening to this version.

  • Maybe... but the SNES version's music wasn't the best.

The 3DO version's music was the best.

  • @MiracleKD18 The 3DO version of the song would be the best if it wasn't so god awfully slow.

  • @HereKittyKitty422 It entirely loses it's guitar sound, when this is supposed to be a heavy metal song. That's bad.

  • nintendo should be known for awsome music on thier game take pokemon or earthbound there awsome

  • best music for a video game-ever!

  • awesomeness

  • Nintendo was smart to choose Sony to make the Super Nintendo's sound chip. Who'd Sega go with? Joe's Sound Chip Hut?

  • sounds like cool underground cave music!

  • This version of the music is pretty good. Shame the actual SNES version of the game was fucking awful. A travesty frankly, to take such a seminal game and make such a piss poor copy.

  • it's very hard to turn a 32-bit PC game into a 16- bit version without losing something(basically graphics, fps, and maps)

  • No doubt. It just seems odd that Nintendo would even want it, given their kid friendly image and Doom being...something other than kid friendly. :) BTW, why did I get 3 thumbs down for my first comment? It's the truth, dammit! Come on, folks! The game is still magnificent, just not on the SNES.

  • And when they DO turn a pc game into a 16-bit console game, they charge $70 for it.

    Lamesox.

  • well that's basically a way of saying that they want a reward for their hard work.

  • what a sick, orginal, but fucking awesome Doom sound, better then what other console everyone knows.

  • The doom music for snes kicks ass. The sega version for doom music sucks ass.

  • @Enmor915 i think it sucks the ass that snes kicked and becouse of the kick the ass is so shity so sega version has something to lick :D

  • @Enmor915

Predictably quoting AVGN and borrowing his opinions as being your own suck ass.

    Making original comments kicks ass.

  • whats ur website about?

  • I don't know anyone who doesn't like The Soundtrack to Doom!

  • you know for the super Nintendo music for the first level of doom is so damn good I would use it for a movie. some how Nintendo had better music then saga

  • No Dip. The snes was better at music than the genesis

  • Well the Sega version of Doom was for the 32X (Which, although it mostly produced shitty games, it was more advanced than most of what was out at the time.) This just makes the fact that the SNES version had better music even sadder. XD

  • i love this song well done *****

  • the video is very blurry -___-

  • heyyy it uses the fx chip cool

  • Has anybody else noticed that the main character holds his pistol left-handed and the shotgun right-handed?

  • no really!!!!!!!!!!

  • I did not. Thank you for reassuring me =)

  • Doomguy is ambidextrous

  • ever noticed the resemblence between this song and metallica's "no remorse"?

  • yes but its only at 1:30seconds of noremorse the tried to emulate alot of the songs

  • nevertheless, the whole song has a very thrashy feeling to it. The drum beat and fills, the guitar fills, etc.

  • Most Nintendo music is taken from metal. Testament mainly.

  • they should have this on the wii virtual console

  • NEDM?

  • awesome

  • Ga narlee

  • pretty rockin tune

  • good enough for a movie.

  • Yea thats really awesome for such an early game.

  • It was the best GAME ever! I still have it and i still love it
