There are a few sets of latte stones they are north and about 350 yards in from the beach some one had a very nice place there a long time ago. between the pond and the latte stone going to the cliffs I had a small farm , i just grew a very harsh but sweet island gold of a herb. God I miss this place.
At one time there was a rope swing, that was a lot of fun.
Is there still gold fish and carp in the pond? I put them there a long long time. ago.
Also if you swim about half way out to the reef there is a big hole with sand in the bottom if I remember it is like 45 feet deep. this is from shells that fell short. the water is fresh and from a lens affect since the island is made with very pours coral or rock, when it rain you can see stream of fresh water stream out of the rock hear and other parts of the island, like north Anderson.
I hate to tell you this but the lost pond was made courtesy of the US Navy with a battle ship, the Japanese had a command post there and a big ammo dump there.The command post was in the cliffs to the north, and you can see it from beyond the reef.. they made a make shift harbor to the south and the channel that they used is were a power station was made.
This is north of two lovers leap or like six coves to the south of the lost pond.
Me and my friends used to call it the duckless pond....

It was next to the coconut tree. Some coconut leaves were put under it for sitting.
