  • @drummerfreak98 wow i don't think your ears were hearing the same music i was he has amazing timing and as far as juggling sticks maybe you should try it but its easier for u to look for the negitive

  • I love this guy

  • this guy is like neil pearts brother or sumething!

  • Just because the guy doesnt play whatever shit you like doesnt mean he sucks...he plays what he likes and he's bad ass at it. Besides, I bet 99.9% of you that post dumb shit arent even half as good, and are not sponsored...so I'm sure he could give a shit what you think or post...play on dude!! • @sunshine9742 REALLY (sunshine) what u need to do is take your lame opinion and stick it where the sun don't shine

  • Haha just imagine Seewi playing deathmetal

  • Haa. I can play the same cowbell beat. But it was AwEsOmE

  • his sticks look like giant pencils lol

  • a.d.d. haha jk your awesome dude haha

  • well then stop critizicing us, cause were better at critizicing than u are..

    thats just stupid...

  • lol this guy could have been the best drummer in the world if he just practiced drumming instead of that stupid juggling shit...

  • He's doing what is fun for him and he's great at it, so stop this stupid commenting shit.

  • Wrong. You took it persoanlly and I took advantage of that. You should quit being a little bitch. It's only the internet. Get off your xbox, go outside and lighten up.

  • fast skilled drummer. but he needs to remember he'll get carpal or tendenitous, soon. I wish someone could break out a technice that doesnt destroy our fingers, possibly a glove the bounds and rebounds the muscle groups like a theripuctic dr recommended glove

  • dude, get a life

  • wow totally amazing!! o_o

  • i think assaf is very very talented but i like neal pert sry

  • neil peart*

  • assaf is the best drummer

  • assaf is my all time favorite drummer, he is soooooo amazing, why is he not on any top drummer lists????well anyways i also love his sticks, anybody know what sticks he uses?

  • To Jezzibrum: what Assaf Seewi is doing at 2:03 is an old Jazz drumming trick - Big Band drummers did all the time. I've seen Papa Jo Jones, Buddy Rich, Louie Bellson and others do it. If you search Gerald Heywood (drummer for Mary J. Blige) you will see him doing it.

  • Does anyone know...at about 2:03 is he playing 16ths on his hi hat with the tip and the butt of the stick? It looks like it but I am not sure. I have been drumming a couple of years and have not seen anyone do that before.

  • Yeah he is!!! O_O

  • wish i could play that way :O

  • if god has son that drums it is him without a doubt

  • Pissed my pants laughing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • actually its jojo mayer

  • this guy is alsome! one of the best drummer i have hered.(and john bonham) but there both realy gooood......sooo good. ( as a drummer my self ) :)

  • this is coo but the drums sound HORRID

  • They are not profesionally recorded. They still sound awesome.

  • i heard that beat b4

  • Almost every possible beat has been written out and played, but that's technically. The same beat can be felt an infinite number of ways!

  • @SuperChuck3 True. Still, modern technique is still producing new talent and new beats. Thankfully, Music will never die. Like you say, technicality means nothing without rythm and feeling.

  • OMG!!!! I play the drums but this was the BEST DRUMMING I ever heard

  • Mike Portnoy

    Phil Collins

    Chester Thompson

    Max Roach

    Neil Peart

    look for these guys.

and if your into percussion- Luis Conte

  • I'm amazed at how fluid he sounds, but it LOOKS like his grip is so ridged.. Awesome player for sure!

  • I've seen his other videos and when he plays, he uses way more fingers than wrist or arm, and he's crazy good at it. I wish I was that developed with my fingers, it would open up a whole new world.

  • he's gliding through those rolls!

  • damn nice as hell

  • Im a drummer too, and after seeing this i want to play the hell out of my drums... but its midnight, damn

  • Who gives a fuck, hit that shit!!!!

  • 4 years

  • wow

  • how long play this guy drums ?

  • holy shit...

  • great!!!!!!!!!

  • Great drumming!

One drumset, two drummers! See it on

    THE TWIN CHANNEL!!

  • the sticks are yellow and they are 5B i think and made by "hotsticks"

  • Are those sticks yellow and if they are what make and model are they?

  • awsame!

  • I wonder how he plays with a band? that's when you know how good a drummer really is.

  • people say dumb stuff this guy is talent .

  • how come travis barker is way more successful than him even this guy is probably 100x better than him.

  • i second that. but i think its cause travis was in a classic punk rock band that really left their mark in the 90s. blink 182.

  • Because he hooked up with the right people and got lucky, The Aquabats were on Blink's tour and Travis got along with Mark and Tom. The Music business is more often than not who you know rather than what you know, maybe Assaf doesn't have as much personality? Visually his drumming would suggest that, people go to rock shows to watch people rock and I wouldn't want to see this guy behind a kit trying to show off.

  • And??

  • Because people see Travis Barker, people say he`s the best in the world (he`s obviously not) and people just assume he`s the best and don`t do research.

  • ive bean watchin vids of him solo,,,, and man, hes gotta be the best,,, theres probly not one thing he cant do on drums

  • Those 2002s sound as amazing as his playing. Keep inspiring us to reach higher levels with our playing, Assaf

  • He has fun playin',don't see that much now.

  • ya... no ur a faggot u should seriously consider something. its called suicide, ever heard of it? cuz u should seriously try it after saying wut u just said

  • the only thing that i dont like about him is his cocky smirk. He's one of the best and he knows it. He just seems like the kind of guy who has too much arrogance. You'd compliment him and he'd say something like "yeah i know!"

  • well then, for your sake, i advise you don't compliment him them

  • I don't think it's a cocky smirk..it seems to me it's just the satisfaction he gets out of getting into a really cool groove---which is something he does quite often because of how good he is and how much he practices. Hell, I do that sometimes when I perform, too.

  • If a person must play an instrument without exhibiting any enjoyment while they are playing, then why play at all?

  • nice push pull

  • this guy kicks ass !

  • He's too precise and clean. (That's good)

  • you dont see other people doing the tricks he does because they cant...

  • man this guy is amazing drummerfreak. his hand to hand coordination is amazing, and timing/rhythm/tequnique all has technicality to it that cant be compared to any other drummer. hes on point.

  • you just made yourself look like an ass. its a SOLO, just like you said. hes not playing along w/ music. im pretty damn well sure that he COULD play along w/ any rinky dink band you have in mind, but obviously that wasnt his intention here in this video. and actually, alot of that stuff would fit nicely into a song depending on how you cut it. so you need to shut your circus act douche mouth. thanks =]

  • this guy is class. hes doing a drum solo,so you`d expect a bit of showing off? this guy is exceptional, i`ve never heard anything like

that before, describing this guys performance

as " like a circus act " is maybe a bit disrespectful?

  • My favourite drummer. My god he's awesome! Dunno if he's the best, but he's really damn close!

  • he is fucking awesome:D and i agree with thoose coment right down under me he have control;)

  • This guy is so good cause of his ingenuity.. brings art to the drums cause its about original beats rhythm and control.. not how fast he can bang his drums. If you say he sucks cause you can do this.. gurantee ya can't.. even if copied to the tee.. you have not accomplished this.. just copied. Post vids of you dropping originals on par with this if you want to talk.

  • I'ts not just the drumming. It's his complex brilliant composing mind. every hit is pure purpose. Assaf, mbf......

  • yeah lad i wanna see ya play just like him or even better which i highly doubt so...

  • ok mr arthurkitchen if your so great then post a video playing the exact same thing hmm i dont think you can so prove me wrong

  • He's ok but not great. I can play any of that stuff fairly easily.

  • Oh, and by the way, I am finally glad to see a little bit of a beat brought into a solo instead of randomly hitting drums as fast as the drummer can.

Its nice to have a bit of soul to it.

  • Its a solo. he is supposed to go overkill. Numb nuts.

  • Overkill? sure, and impress everyone for the first 30 seconds then bore everyone after the first 2 minutes. This is entertaining.

  • fantastic

  • i think i will take up a new hobby after seeing that...

    ...maybe fishing

  • hey rasuk be original dude!!!!!

  • Assaf is the flippin man!!!!!!!

  • *quits drums*

  • i get a lot of my influence from him :)

    hes COOOL

  • When I first started watching his vids, I thought he was pretty awesome. But now, it's like they all sound the same. He does have great skills though. Jabberwockee, you're disgusting.

  • dude, I was totally thinking the same way

  • I don't like the way assaf plays. It's just a lot of showing off and there's no melodical play at all. Boring

  • dude its not called showing off, he does all that shit to amuse and not bore his audience, LOL and you only call it showing off cuz u couldnt do it even in your dreams.

  • If u know how to play drums then u dont wanna listen to all this "overkilling" that Assaf is doing on this video. I know i can't play like him. I didnt say i could, but i dont think his style of play is very amusing tbh.

  • ok i will ^^

  • ok, well, listen...

asaf seewi is incredible. no-one start saying that he isn't good, because if you do, you're an idiot.

    =D

  • I Love paiste cymbals. Tomorrow im gonna buy the black alphas from Joey Jordison. Anyone know The Black alphas?

Btw, Assaf Seewi is just incredible.

  • ye they look so nice!!

but wat country a u from cos in england their quite alot. but then i have never heard then so good luck!!!

  • i'm from switzerland, where the paiste hq is from. So they're pretty famous here.

  • lol baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad choice dude in my opinion

  • Synchopation? I thought You said Assaf Seewi!

  • sweet...this guy is great..

  • why does he use those yellow ass sticks lol?

  • to show off. U can see'em better and they look special.

  • You know what... any nay sayers out there are idiots. Ive been drumming since I was 5. I'm 21 now and I'm no rookie when it comes to drumming.

I couldn't keep up with this guy even if I tried. His control of his limbs is astounding.

  • Great solo, the tricks are kinda easy, but the latin grooves are pretty cool...crap cymbals though.

  • I wonder if he was self taught.

  • WOW!!! i'm beginning my 3rd year of percussion (not doing drum set and including xylophone) and i am astonished by this remarkable talent in this percussionist. i guess it's partially true, the hand does move faster than the human brain can piece together the light the eye retrieves.

  • Take it for what it is. You're comparing this to something or someone else, don't do it. He's an amazing talent.

  • where's the soul and groove? up your fucking arse mate.

  • hes awesome! stop being asses..

  • what does that even mean?

  • I agree with wraithman07. that part with the cowbell was pretty sweet. I can actually do it now after 3 weeks of practice. im still working on the juggling beat at the end of part 4

  • DAMN stop arguing and envy the man!! lol i love that cowbell beat around 1:40...

  • Assaf!!!! Your too good man...i can't believe how crazy you are, soo unique man...soo good

  • he drums like a f*ckin robot

  • dude, the fact that his technique is perfect doesn't make him a robot.

it just makes him really really good!

  • this dude plays so tight it's scary!

  • you dont need more drums to do more. stop beeing a pussy and play your kit like a real man. a 5 piece is all you will ever need.

  • although a 5 piece is all u'll ever need havin some extra toms isnt a bad thing as it can widen your drumming style and playing but then there is the point where u have 4 snares 20 toms 4 bass drums and like 50 cymbals which is way to much

but yer like one or two extra toms isnt a bad thing

  • oh no ggoing to 6-7 piece for like a studio session isnt bad. or if something calls for it. but generally a 5 piece will do. 2 crashes hi hats and a ride.

  • Hahaha....

  • terry bozzio....haha...ha....ha....that guy hasnt played real drums in years

  • seriously? what makes him that great of a drummer?

  • he can do polyrithms,he is ambidextrous,he plays melodically,he plays the same things with his hands and his feets...and his grooves are really full of notes...he uses melodic fills...come on dude u cant doubt of terry bozzio being the best drummer...he may be boring for someguys but he is inhuman...

  • ehh idanno. different folks different strokes. i just see why hes so special. theres plenty of drummers that can do what he does ten times better.

  • really, this video isnt about who the fuck is the greatest drummer..

all i see here is assaf seewi, wheres terry whoshisfuckingname is?

  • every drummer has diff style...even neil peart and mike portnoy has style...assaf has also his own style..u can call them insane drummer...bozzio is great...even travis is also great but only diff kind of playing...

  • Chuck Norris is Better than terry bozzio

  • Holy SHIT!!!!

  • Is he from israel(Assaf)?

  • man assaf is one of the best damn drummers to ever live.

  • I like his hair in this one, really suits him

  • Damn i love that cowbell part @ 1.42 :D

  • ummm you can hear it again in a missy elliott song, i can't remember which though..

  • Ur the best, I wanna be as good as you

  • he loves them weird color sticks, and spinning them all the time!

  • He has them colored so the audience can see the sticks easier. His "thing" is tricks and spins.

  • Greatest drummer I have seen. Even better than Boddy Rich!

  • C'mon... he's good but not *that* good!

  • Buddy is and most probably always will be untouchable. Every drummer of today has his own specialities, but Buddy simply was able to do anything, he was a fucking prodigy; AND the snap-technique pretty much every pro uses today only is copied from him

  • shutup u prick

  • dont judge man. u probably cant even play the drums. fuckin loser.

  • what the fuck....ive been playing for 7 years and i think i know my drums..... and im not shit..... and im 14

  • Oooh.. Such a big boy! =)

  • Great drummer. Poor sound, but that is the recording, and not the drums. He is geat but boring. He is "driving" not playing. I would any time choose Peter Erskin or Steve Gad.

  • I agree its not his best video...

  • Dude, vadrum is nothing compared to this guy. If you look closely, he doesnt even use many rudimentals, he plays by his creativity, and his stick handling..even when he's not holding them correctly he's still able to play at a level higher than most drummers. He's amazing

  • his fills r pretty cool

  • very good:):)
