  • Nevermind the haters, this looked like a really fun experiment. None of the self-proclaimed "good" chefs in the comment section got to where they are without that.

  • "i heard the meat was cheap but overall it was smashing" haha what a guy. p.s cheap cuts have all the flavour!!

  • Why do people insist on doing these top chef recipes before learning to cook properly?

You have way too much mince in that pan, and it is stewing, not browning. You are missing out on a lot of potential flavour.

  • @p3rs0nan0ngrata Booo! Let the man have his fun, man. After going through all the trouble for all the steps of Heston's recipe, a critique, though constructive, is not something you'd want to hear.

  • @areezzy

If you're going to go to such lengths to create such a meal, you're only cheating yourself by taking shortcuts.

Why not do a great 'normal' bolognese, rather than a rushed 'perfect' bolognese?

  • @p3rs0nan0ngrata

Sure, one can probably make a better bolognaise with just cooking meat and tomatoes absolutely spot on. Point is, these projects are for fun and adventure. It's something to chuckle about one day for its own ridiculousness, not to actually present to Masterchef judges and get their expert negative criticism.

  • @p3rs0nan0ngrata

Because doing these top chef recipes is the properly way to cook.

  • @punchingpower

Right, so you think people should tackle the souffle before learning to make a French meringue?

  • whats the recipe
