This show always makes me smile as it brings back so many pleasant memories of my childhood in the 60s and early 70s and watching this show with my parents and sister. My father was a big time fan. Even with the civil rights unrest and Vietnam, the mid 1960s was still such a fun time to be a kid, especially with shows like Jeannie, Gilligan's Island, Star Trek, and Julia. Much cleaner time period.
It's interesting to compare season 1 (1965) with season 2 (1970). Completely different music, acting...everything. This is very sappy, while the last season is groovy and corny.
Adding to the info: She was married to Michael Ansara who played the "Blue Jin" on one episode and a Hawain King in another. Star Trek fans remember him as the Klingon Captain "Kang". Sadly, they divored and their son passed away back in the 90s. She's been through a lot of rough times yet manages to keep her chin up. Very strong and classy woman. Today's girls could learn so much from her.
I forgot to add, if you really want to see how handsome Michael Ansara is, watch "My Sister the Homewrecker" it is in the sixth and last season of IDJ. He plays ladies man Biff Jelico.
You probably didn't know this, but Barbara was six months pregnant at the time she filmed this in the spring of 1965- it was to her credit that she remained "pretty", even though her costume was draped with more silk lining than usual, and the camera focused above her waist...as a friend of mine once observed when he saw the scene of Jeannie standing sideways in her bottle at the beginning, "Very beautiful...but one very pregnant genie!".
Good "condensation", 'Mini'- but I miss that line Tracy says, after describing the movie Captain Nelson is "technical advisor" on {a variation on "Fantastic Voyage"}, and tells him, "We've done our part- now, you must do your part."/"What's that, sir?"/"Keep this picture believable!". And the rest of the line when he snorts at 3:26, "Dragging a busy man away for this NONSENSE...when he's got little astronauts to worry about!".
michael ansara also played a techo mage in bablyon 5

She wanted master sooooooo bad...what was wrong with that guy? Too much time in a space capsule with his buddy, I guess.

She is so Pretty!
It's the combo of her eyes that tilt upward at the corners & her tiny nose. She was probably a doll as a baby.

This was originally black & white, and it's been colorized - people's teeth always look grey when this has been done. But anyway...
