Really great ideas, but half of this tech would get blocked, DPed or thrown by an experienced player in a real match IMO. I say this as a Rose player who's tried all kindsa stuff with U2 to mixed success.
@etherealrhythm wrong: The soul throw of rose will force you to block and it will not be auto-corrected by DPs. You can either block the mixup well or try to escape it. It is an ambiguous cross up that catches backdash / DPs / will sometimes cross up or not depending of Rose's position
If you get DPed its because you didn't time it well enough. It is true because they added 2 more frames the timing is more strict but it's not impossible to do
DPs would auto-correct though depending on the setup.. This will especially be killed by the likes of Dee Jay, Blanka, with their upstuff that always autocorrects. Not to mention simply blocking the first orb and throwing them before the second orb even gets close to you.
There are certain situations where a DP wouldn't work, but that means you're safely going for chip because it's just going to be a crossup. simple as that.
@MrAntonic That was my point; the setups aren't airtight. Not to mention the overheads, which would only be viable for getting the final damage in to win a round... anything other than that and they leave you wide open for punishment. Some of the setups are legit... like the FA --> neutral jump --> light kick to reset --> activate U2 --> dash/slide versus do nothing for a 50/50 crossup situation (found this myself ages ago and loved it). That stuff is safe, but mostly garbage anyway all in all.
@etherealrhythm And using Soul Throw with U2 just seems to get me into trouble against anybody half-decent most of the time. Like I hinted at in my original comment, I do it sometimes against weaker players who I know won't defend well against it.
Am I missing something though? If I am then some annotations in the video couldn't hurt to help people like myself understand the specifics of the techniques.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this, for most of the video which version of Soul Throw do you use? Medium Punch version? I know the one that goes up the least is the LP version but I didn't know if you used HP or MP version more, I know annotation on each clip would be a bit much but anything would help to know whether HP or MP versions of Soul Throw would be better.
Awesome video. Thanks ^^

Is there a reason why you whiff far HK, after each knock down? Is it to force them to block? Some Option Select thing?

@Andru157
Sets up the timing off that particular knockdown for the soul satelite to be truly ambiguous~

Looks like I have some new tech to try to implement into my anemic Rose game, just what I needed ^_^ (amongst other things... lol)
Good stuff. :-)

@MrAntonic True about dee jay and blanka
I dunno why people would use U2 against blanka tho... >_>
IMO U2 against dee jay would either help you to get out of pressure or to try pressuring him...mixups with U2 + ST isnt viable against him...
when talking about DP I was referring after a back throw lol
