  • i like how people can get in such a heated debate over stupid shit lol remindes me of kindergarden hahaha

  • lol American instruction manuals

  • cool man i like the way you set it up. i have mine towards the lower part of the windshield but where i live im afraid its going to get stolen. lol. i always have to take it off the mount and hide it. but i think im going to do what you did.

  • I see you got the red color but I got the blue l.e.d color.

  • I wouldn't wire it directly to the battery. Vehicles have fuses for a reason... Cigarette lighter or radio power are the best spots.

  • This isn't a radar mirror....

  • @cacman1993

no, but it is a radar mirror mount like the title says ;-)

  • Do we need to put the device the same place you put. Can it detect if we hide under the steering wheel or anywhere that nobody can see? Thanks

  • @doktorcivanim1

If it doesn't have line of sight then it will have a hard time detecting anything. Up at the mirror level is the best place

  • What make and model video camera you used?, the video looks incredible sharp picture and sound.

  • @kalas73

    Sony HDR-SR10

  • what kind of cam u got?

  • I'm jealous!

  • well done

  • @k757

    Thank You

  • Dude you have a really nice car.

  • @appacana

Thanks I think so too ;-)

  • hows the performance with it on a mirror mount? some people say closer to window the better?

  • @robbieba

I need to get a video out of it. It will pick up radar from police more than a mile away sometimes

  • im getting this type of radar detector, but idk if i will be able to hear the beeping/alerting sound because i have 2 12's in the trunk and the whole system was expensive as shit and the speakers are so loud and i was wondering if i would still be able to hear it with it turned up. any ideas? thanks in advance

  • @Matterboy81

It has auto voulume and works really well. If you get the direct wire kit the red light that flashes as well is hard to miss

  • @Buferd how much is the direct wire kit? thanks in advance

  • @Matterboy81

I actually don't remember how much it was. Sorry. I did get it at Best Buy though.

  • @Buferd ok thanks, i really dont know which one to get escort 9500, or v1..

  • @Matterboy81 V1 for sheer performance. 9500ix for features to make you look cool. ;)

  • @VIPwitme

This does pretty dang good and I would say it would give a V1 a run. I do however, really want the "arrows" feature that the V1 offers because sometimes this thing picks up from so far away that it would be nice to see what direction it is coming from.

  • Can't say for sure on your particular car but I would bet you have +12 volts and ground either in the mirror or near it (dome lights) and could use an old phone cord for power. A lot quicker and cheaper.

  • @Phrede41005

I got a really good deal on it so it was worth it.

  • why do you need a mic?

  • @johhnyfasnazzy

My Pioneer unit has Bluetooth built in so I can connect my cell phone to receive and make calls through my car speakers. It is very handy!

  • @shannoncompton

That really sucks for you! Are you doing ok?

  • Sick WRX, which particular mount do you have?

  • @MrMark4004

    The stationary standard one

  • quick question. i have a zr4 lazer shifter that i will be linking with my 8500x50 and escort is not helpful with the smart cord. is it the same thing as a phone cable? because if so i can really save myself some time and money, thanks!

  • one way to get a radar detector stolen in view of ohter people see it

  • There is a button on the back to disconnect it from the metal insert and all I have to do is unplug the cord and take it in if I am in an area like that.

  • if you watch my video about the 8500x50 werei mounted so nobody cant see it i got it replaced with the V1

chech out my Video 8500x50 red escort

  • so you got the stationary mount? does it block out the gps signal t all?

  • Very rarely. I would be lying if I said that I have NEVER lost signal but for the most part it never gives me headache.

  • nice sti!

  • WRX actually, the little brother to the STi. Although after my Cobb stage 1 I am pushing more HP than a stock STi.
