this was the hottest song ever!!!! from dancing at the Copa on the east side, Reflections(later it was the Red Parrot) or when I was dancing at the Hai Club in Germany or the Kumpa Club in the Netherlands this was a hit! now I sing it to that special woman in my life! ......funny how life runs full circle! now stop reading this and get up and dance with the Squirrel!!!
I don't know about Disco making a comeback, HOWEVER we are working on a 1 hour weekly show featuring all the 12 inch uncut original singles produced in the disco era in the '70s and moving into the '80s 12 inch singles as well. If you love the disco era, we will bring back the memories in March of this year 2012. For more information contact kint98.com World Wide Radio at kint98@aol.com for details. We will bring back the '70s and the memories.
@IFLY7871 Hi, I was one of the top hustle dancers here in San Antonio I learned it from New Yorker-Puerto Ricans who were in the Army, stationed here in SA. I also taught Latin Hustle at Arthur Murray. I was wondering if you read this message, if you can share with me the other 9 songs you picked to as the all time best disco songs. Please email me at mnolivares@aol.com
Beautiful lyrics, great vocals and fantastic, upbeat music with a great message (title)! Disco was always about love, fun, dance and all those things that make us feel good. Exercise, Dance or just lift up your spirits - listen to it more!
Listening to this on a great sound system was like having an out of body experience. This music made you soar. You were on the top of the world, no troubles, no worries, just happiness. I miss those days.
another late 70's euro-disco classic, were the dancing was everything ,the clothes, the shoe's & the moves on the dance floor told the real story, not to forget the women or the club's, the starship discovery-1 the inferno ,roseland casa blanca, the spot-lite the 3-10,the paradise garage. sonny-021
no hiv. no drugs in my group, we were sky high on music and dancing and fine women, the criminal element couldn't dance so they faded away for the most part. the tuff guys were unsuccessful want a bees in our circles watching us get all the hot babes. Great dancing was like an aphrodisiac.
1977 it was so great for me i bought all these records and i stilll listen to them all the time the music now is crazy i wish disco will come back again someday
i still have this record iam kelly mendez from the bronx nyc dyre ave still listen to this jam it brings me back so many memories from years ago thank you love and kisesees
AW MAAAAN!!!! Where's the "AND I SUPPOSE YOU THOUGHT IT WAS ALL OVER? No-no-no-no"???? I know, YouTube has a time limit of ten minutes. There are 15 min jams (Superrhyme) that won't have the entire version. At any rate, I have NO problem being in my early 50s, I DO have a problem with EuroDisco not being popular anymore!!! Don Ray, Cerrone, Alec R., Giorgio Moroder, I had this and a LOT of vinyl from the Casablanca label. Club DJs from back-in-the day should go to major cities and set up events!
At 47, I was not old enough to experience the disco scene, but would have loved to have done. Luckily, my hub, who is 52, has introduced me to alot of music from that era I would not have otherwise known about. The 80s scene was just as fun and everyone was smart and we went home reasonably sober and behaved ourselves! I'm glad I witnessed that era. Sadly today, children have no music at all to grow up with apart from the stuff we listened to.
@truro007 Many people behaved in the 70's, we just danced to great music, and brought back partner dancing in the hustle. Romance was high, and, statistically, drug use was probably lower. It's just that the sensational stories always get alot of media stories. The great majority of the kids were conservative and into dancing.
icruz-I could not have said it better myself! We girls would never think about going out without dresses, heels etc. And the guys in their suits! They actually came up and asked you to dance-not like these days where they just start bunping and grinding on you and the girls dancing barefoot! UGH!! If you can't dance in your shoes-don't wear them. Those indeed were the days and I'm so happy to have been a part of an era perhaps long gone-but not forgotten!
I don't know about you but I am proud to be 50 It was the last time a man and a woman danced gracefully together on the dance floor, Guys dressed like guys and women dressed like women! A wonderful time. my favorite part on this record will always be the rumba part. you can do a train and dance the night away! god bless all of you!!!!!!!!
these were the days! what happened to music? People were so beautiful wearing beautiful clothes and dancing till 5 in the morning. You had to be definitely healthy to do that. I did it for many many years and at 58 still look good. I am enjoying music on pandora on smart tv.
@IFLY7871 Wow! I'm not happy always about being 54, but I survived long enough to know that in my time I had a ball and music like this provided a wonderful sound track to my youth! My first ventures into a gay bars was washed in this track. Such great fun! This was definitely in my top 10 of disco classics! Very cool!
Thank you yekomaniac for showing that the label PLAINLY shows "Arranged and conducted by Don Ray." Alec Costandinos, Cerrone, and Voyage all routinely took credit for Don Ray's work, just like this one, supposedly by Costandinos. Raymond Donnez, Euro-disco's unsung architect.
I would destroy the floor at SPATs in Hawaii with this song 1980 then we would run across the street to DASTING and play this song again to cool off to go back to SPATS.
Yes FashionSun, this music I had to play because I am in love again and could not find anything that would express my feelings like this song,,,,, and the music OMG>>>>>
dont get to serious man, you are still around to enjoy.........................PDO
im only 39 (40 in july) but this is one of my fave disco ..no CLASSIC DANCE tracks .. and TGIF and then the Romeo and Juilet cut ( i live for that song ) Casablanca Records was the disco king they had the best acts with the best sound
I'm not always happy being 53 years old till I think back to my long career as a club DJ. I actually still mix house music here in New Jersey... but songs like this have no competition and this is one of the best of the 70's. I actually did a top 10 disco classics list and this was my choice for number 1. Thanks.
Any clubs that spin these GREAT beats? I was a DJ in a small (but packed 7 nights a week) club in Albany, NY '75-'77.At 57 still love to be twirled around. Where, please where?
@IFLY7871 I feel the same way, and BTW, I'm 52. I danced my a** off to this jam. Loved it, still do. Question; Do you by chance have the full 12" version ? I have been searching forever, and can't seem to find it. Oh, LICHBKLYN means Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. Where I was born, raised, and also served as a male "Candy Striper" (us guys didn't wear pink. We wore gray blazers) for the American Red Cross as a youth volunteer. Stayed with the ARC for 34 years- Disaster Relief.
@LICHBKLYN1 Yes you could find this song on it's original 12" length version. I did. On E-bay. But you to bid on it. My advice, bid in the last two minutes before the bidding ends. This version that you heard is not the long Lp or disco version. the oringial version is over 17 minutes long.

Ah, those were the days. No AIDS, no carding at the door, disco snow on every table. Miami was a blast in those days. I was a teenager and dancing felt like flying. When did life get so... serious??
@TheFashionSun we did have aids..we just didn't know anything about it. Hi.....I agree with you 4 the most part but life is what you make it. But I still really miss those care free days so much. People seem to be so up-tight about what other people think of them, there age, looks.... Have a great day
@TheFashionSun @ IFLY7871 and all other readers. Unfortunately the music business is exactly as the rest of businesses and attidtude in the world. Nothing is good enough anymore and the charms is totally gone. I still produce dance music and started in 1990 but everyday more and more I don't like it anymore :(. Sadly to say but it's not about music and people anymore but only about MONEY! :(
It was usually 1 of 2 songs. Either Last Dance from Donna Summer or Enough Is Enough from Donna Summer and Barbara Streisand. Those were 2 very poplular songs to end the night at the dance clubs.
A lot memories with this beautefull song from the 70´s, dancing all weekend in the discos, i remember in Le Dome, the best disco in Acapulco, let´s do it again.
For the people who like the best 70´s discotheuqe music, i got the got where the people dance.
I remember recieving this thru Dogs Of War DJ Record Pool in its import form. I was just beginning to get into dance music. I left popular music for classical for almost a decade then this merger of classical jazz RB and soul inspired me.Peace
Disco Ball 9 @ Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort Atlantic City NJ on saturday October 16, 2010. The world's greatest Live 70s disco dance concert. 13 acts. I have my tickets. Are you going?
One of the very best tunes to dance to back in the day. I was only a teenager when I learned how to dance playing this great song. Amanzing! It brings back so many good memories of my friends, our parties and all the fun we had together.
Oh yes... I too have this awesome 12" single on vinyl. Purchased on 1978 alone with many other 12" vinyl. Perhaps my most favorite song from "Love and Kisses". Alex R. Contandinos is brilliant!!!
It's songs like this that made the Disco era of the mid/late 70's so special and memorable. The crap churned out nowadays doesn't even come close to this!
Hi Yecomaniac....don't you ever close this account and leave us wihout this great music !!!! ....specially, I Found Love !!!...can't not find not even the cd!!!...if you know how to get it or download it or whatever....let me know, please !!! nice to see that there are still people like you who can bring some hapinness through music in these difficult times!!!!...Thanks!
The music was great at The Third World, this DJ, would always play sounds like this, we could not even hear at Hollywoods best clubs. We had to tell other DJ about the name of the songs at other clubs. The other clubs had bigger dance floors compared to Third World in Los Angeles,
The dance floors started to get very crowded, this was a huge hustle hit in NY but it became so crowded everywhere so thats how freestyle took over most couldnot dance the hustle!
@DrBryanCronin u did'nt have it before larry levan at the paridise garage , jeeesh i missed those days, i tell ya i thank god for utube we can still go alllllllllll the way back and listen to these great classics
I love this song, always have and always will.

It was usually 1 of 2 songs. Either Last Dance from Donna Summer or Enough Is Enough from Donna Summer and Barbara Streisand. Those were 2 very poplular songs to end the night at the dance clubs.

I remember recieving this thru Dogs Of War DJ Record Pool in its import form. I was just beginning to get into dance music. I left popular music for classical for almost a decade then this merger of classical jazz RB and soul inspired me.Peace

The music was great at The Third World, this DJ, would always play sounds like this, we could not even hear at Hollywoods best clubs. We had to tell other DJ about the name of the songs at other clubs. The other clubs had bigger dance floors compared to Third World in Los Angeles,
