I was reading one of the comments on dreams sometimes being so real and they also mention a reference to wet dreams. And it reminded me about a couple of times spread out in my past where i could of swore i was pissing or had a wet dream yet the dream honestly was not that vivid but the sensations were real and when i awoke right after nothing had happened. Just curious to know if there are others this has happened to.

personally i think this song is about political corruption. Tool was awesome for me when I was younger but I grew out of the music, and a big reason of that is MJK's douchy, pretentious attitude. @pockyninja13 actually dreams are what your brain interprets as reality. They seem as an escape because without guidance it seems like moments of escape. Really it's the way you unconsciously solve problems. Reality can't be 100% accurate through our eyes because our brains run on 10 watts of power, compensating whenever possible to make it easier for the moment. I know it's a little over explained but when you think about it our mind makes meaning of reality through illusions.

@numbstateofennui @RebornAleph as far as remembering a dream: let's say living with a decent sleeping habit, i believe dreaming is your soul's way to organize life's matters; it's been shown through interpretations. dreaming is powerful no doubt in my mind. if you can jizz when you're sleeping & wake up sweating you can believe in something more complex than just mindless bodily functions. dreams interpret problems, it's our job to interpret the dream, i believe. it's fact our brain is limited.

There is no real proof that dreams "fix problems". In fact, there's no proof that dreams are anything. The only scientifically proven fact about dreams is that all mammals can experience them.

As for making meaning of reality through illusions, read up on semiotics - Saussure comes to mind. There is really no boundary between reality and illusion. Only "reality" and "concept".
