  • Thank You to each man and lady who is serving or has served in the US Military! Thank you for keeping us safe. I pray each day that God will protect you as you protect us!

  • Semper Fi.

  • i just got out of boot camp, cant wait to later go one.

  • Wow! I didn't know anyone had a video of our ceremony. That's me carrying the US flag. Lumi, who was your date?

  • I am Gunny Cherry's wife...I believe he was the Dj for that party...

  • arent they supposed to have their hats off inside... and maybe during the anthem too? im not being rude, im just asking....

  • not if they are a part of the ceremony...case in point the Marines with the NCO swords and Marines in the color guard are considered to be under arms...wherein they leave their covers on

  • not if they are doing colors or drill and only when their CO tells them to put their covers on indoors because i am in MCJROTC

  • @Man2834 if you are under arms in a building, or on duty you wear your cover or in this specific ceremony you will. underarms meaning if you have a weapon on you or guarding something. all those marines have swords, rifles or one year i guarded the cake so we had to have our covers on.

  • Good question. This is a ball ceremony. During ceremonies we wear our covers (while participating in the color guard or sword detail, cake detail or distinguished guests). Marines never take their covers off for the national anthem, we solute unless we aren't wearing a cover, at which time we stand at attention.

  • @freedomp6 not called hats thr called covers and u cant salute without covers

  • i think you have to have covers on at all times during presentation of the colors. Or maybe its the tradition thing, where a Marine can only salute with his cover on. Maybe there's a lot of saluting to be doing lol

  • These ceremonies are beautiful. Thanks for posting this. Belated Happy Birthday to the Marines.
