First time I've ever seen this (and I love animals..it was tough lol) but I commend people for being able to do it, it's a skill and a mindset I want to work on. I didn't watch the video with audio on (I'm at work) so sorry if this was explained, but when you dispatched it..was that an off shot? Or do they normally thrash about like that? Is a shot directly at the head avoided just for cleanliness' sake, or is there another reason..?
@InsuredByBeretta The pellet goes through the brain Im not sure why you think it does not go through the head. Most of the time they twitch and move after being killed. It is just nerves firing the muscle.
@mustgetmuscles1 Gotcha, it was a pellet, I thought that was a .22 and figured if it was shot in the head it would just drop. It wasn't dead when it was doing that though. Nerve twitch is a much different response that what was happening there, that was clearly an attempt at running.
@mustgetmuscles1 Oh, I was unaware that applied to everything...so way back when they used to use guillotines on people, would the people just get up and start running around afterwards? I always assumed it was because chickens' brainstems were relatively low on their heads, and when it wasn't completely severed, the brainstem would still control most of the motor function, until the chicken bled out and died. Like Mike the Chicken, except a clot saved him.
@InsuredByBeretta Actually there are accounts of the executioner holding up the severed heads and the crowds would love that head would continue to blink and the jaw would move like it wanted to talk. In my method of slaughter the death happen from a loss of blood. But the brain is destroyed and no cant perceive pain. The body remains alive until it bleeds out but is brain dead.
@KainanRa Thanks for the info! I wasn't criticizing or anything, was just wondering what the deal was. The whole blinking head thing, AFAIK, is because the brain still has a supply of oxygen and blood, keeping it functioning and "alive" for a few seconds.
Rabbits, yum .. best meat in the world...its funny thou how people vary in cleaning rabbits. All i do mine in my sink with a pair of pruning shears and a pair of kitchen scissors. Take off feet with shears, use scissors to cut a slit in back thou the fur, pull fur off and just twist off head. Gut wash eat lol
@jimmiewalts More than one way to skin something and I was not racing anyone. Knives work just fine and I never said that scissors were easier. Knives work great I have many. For me scissors are safer. Safer for not cutting through the skin and into meat, cutting the guts, or cutting myself. But hey you can use whatever you want and do it as fast as you think it has to be done. Dont understand why some people are in such a hurry though.
For everyone whos responding to my first comment, I have another question for you.
If God put animals on this earth to be eaten, then what are plants for? Plants dont see, plants dont move, plants dont even eat. Animals do all those things and more. How many of you reading this have a dog that you love and would do anything for that dog (w/ in a reason) but yet u get home and eat a steak? I say no to speciesism. Animals have souls, nothing you say will change my mind either, so dont even try.
@BonaparteJosephine Well pain requires a nervous system. At the core of that system is the brain. You destroy the brain or sever its connection to the nerves and there is no pain.
I butchered my first Rabbit yesterday & did it following your instruction. Took me a bit longer than it took you due to inexperience but I got the job done & did it right! After it was butchered I rinsed it repeatedly then wrapped it in tinfoil & popped it in the freezer for later. Should I have soaked it or should it be okay?
@ladykarli awesome glad the video helped. Doesnt matter how long it takes its not a race. You will get faster the more times you do it though. I put mine in freezer bags and freeze them. When Im ready to cook them I thaw them out and marinate them for a day or two. Some people swear by soaking them in salt water or milk. You will just have to try it and see what works for you.
just wondering if you know what organs would be okay to consume (for my dog) I assume the liver but what else? Of course all of this would be cooked for her first. Great video!
@MissBBunnies My dogs have eaten whole animals and been fine but I would just stick to liver, kidneys, lungs, heart. Dont give them bladder, intestines, stomach, gall bladder. I dont think it would hurt them but just to be safe. Dogs are made to eat raw meat. Wont hurt them at all.
Thank you for this video. We breed and show rabbits, and are thinking of getting into meat rabbits. I'm not sure if I could actually do it, but I'm glad I watched the video
Hi There, Thanks for putting up this video, it was very helpful. I am very surprised how large the liver is! And I happen to be one of those people who love liver (Sorry dogs!) But I have a question. The little encased dark thing on the liver, that when removed by cutting it out and then cut in half, green fluid comes out of it. What is that please? Is it safe to eat that liver or is that a disease? Thanks.
@memmaydamon That is the gall bladder. You want to remove it without breaking it because it will taint the meat with bile. Other than that it is totally normal. I do eat the liver now and it is very good.
awesome video .. good job .. thanks for the tutorial.. I hunt rabbits but only kill for consumption. People that judge about killing animals are very ignorant.. All animals were provided to us by God for us to eat and use. As long as you respect what you are killing and use the meat then it is used what it was made for. Get over it people.
awesome video - very thourough from start to finish. really love seeing people who take care when rearing and dispatching animals for food. It looks so tasty too - i think im gonna go hunting this weekend.
to maintain a few rabbits(15) and chickens(12) a month. what do you think is suitable acreage required for them, for human consumption. and letting them free roam is better than keeping them caged right?
@Animalsaremylife43 As long as you respect the life that you took to feed yourself and not let it go to waste, I don't really see any problems in killing animals for food... Life itself revolves around this cycle of life and death, eat and be eaten... I don't think this guy enjoys killing... it's just part of life that most people don't see because of urbanization and the development of cities.
@Animalsaremylife43 I don't think a bullet in the head is a bad way for anything to go, sure beats the abottoirs out there (the porugese with their screwdrivers ect) or barbaric muslim scum that slash the throat not too mention the intensive farming which is a disgrace.
@timmarshallrules1 You are probably just some ugly disgusting fat sow who does nothing but sit on his computer all day and troll people on YouTube. You are nothing more than trash. It's people like YOU who made me lose all my faith in humanity, its people like YOU who make me not want to even LIVE in this country. You disgust me. @KainanRa I am SO sorry you had to deal with this horrible person. Keep doing what you are doing. You are NOT in the wrong.
@timmarshallrules1 Shut the fuck up you disgusting filth. You sorry excuse for a human being. You are nothing but a worthless hypocrite you don't even DESERVE to walk this Earth. This man is NOT killing for pleasure he is killing for FOOD so his family can EAT and SUVIVE. If you are going to be a jackass to this poor man who did nothing wrong then you need to get off YouTube.
I used to hunt cotton tails in Iowa when I was little... cleaned a bunch... great eating...
Fried em up golden brown like chicken then poped em in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes then in the broiler just long enough to crisp em up! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
I hit a fox driving n it made me wonder can u freeze it then skin it for its fur? Sure was beautiful creature with a nice coat there n its a shame just to have it eaten by the crows if something can be salvaged.
It's nice to see how well they're treated before/during their death. I totally respect what you do. Keep up the good work. How much money do your rabbits cost you monthly?
@KainanRa Hey! I was just wondering how you deal with the... guilt of butchering the rabbits? Thats the number one thing that bugs me about it. I will probably have my dad do it for me, but I still feel bad for sending them to the "butcher post" lol
@countrybabe561 I guess I just dont feel guilty. I see it like this: I am a carnivore from a long line of cornivores. Would other carnivores feel guilt for killing and eating an animal? No and they kill in some of the most brutal ways imaginable. I bred them with care and killed them in the most humane way I know how. My conscience is clear. Having someone kill them for me still results in the same outcome. Something died for my benefit. Guilt is one of the most useless human inventions.
I hate how people get pissed off an sh** cuz it's not like he's shooting da dam thing and throwing in his yard or something. He's actually using it for food.
Hey, we are going to start raising meat rabbits. Thank you very much for the video. I really like the idea of using the scissors instead of a knife on such a small animal. Can't wait!
Hell YeS!! This was the most awesome video I've ever seen !!! No sophisticated tools - knives, etc... Scissors, pruning sheers, and a pellet gun!! Thnx go out to Koda !!! Thnx for posting
I must ask, have you thought of doing like a sharp paring knife, that would be a quick solution as well, just saying. I don't slaughter animals. I'm thinking as a person who is wondering.
PS:I'm sorry we had misunderstandings, just because you slaughter rabbits doesn't mean
your not a nice person, you could be the nicest guy in your area. I'm just taking this time,
to calmly and clearly say: I know rabbit is eaten, but. I could neve slaughter a rabbit.
@PrincessSpearmint Didnt say scissors are easier. For me it keeps me from cutting through the fur and into the meat and there is less chance of me cutting myself while working in such a tight area. Knives work just as good its just preference.
As for how the rabbit died I tried to educate you with facts to let you know that your "opinion" was misguided. You want to believe slaughter houses kill more humanely so you shut your brain of to reality. Its sad but hey whatever helps you cope.
@KainanRa Hey, what do your neighbors think when they see you butchering? My neighbors would probably pull out a gun and shoot me..... My old neighbors never said anhting when they saw us butcher 3 cows in the back pasture (their kids even walked by while we sliced the throat) but my new neighborhood is full of city slickers that hate even looking at our cows, infact we got turned in for our 4 cows because the neighbors "didn't want to look at them" Such idiots.
The bible/God says the earth is approximately 7000 years old.
Rabbits are ancestors of lagomorphs, which evolved right after dinosaurs died......over a million years ago. Which has been proven as a scientific fact.
That is a approximately 993,000 years error of contradiction.
What gives??
Turn off TMZ and your fairy tale book, and educate yourself.
@PrincessSpearmint It was a humane way. When you shoot them that way, the brain shuts completely down and they can't feel anything. I also love animals, and I think this was a very humane method.
@PrincessSpearmint You sound like your heart is in the right place so I will be nice and explain this to you. A gunshot to the brain is considered a humane method of slaughter.
U.S.C.A. § 1902 Humane Methods
(a) in the case of cattle, calves, horses, mules, sheep, swine, and other livestock, all animals are rendered insensible to pain by a single blow or gunshot or an electrical, chemical or other means that is rapid and effective, before being shackled, hoisted, thrown, cast, or cut; or
@KainanRa I know that at the slaughter house, they shock them, and humanely get the brain to shut down, then they hang up the humanely braindead animal,
then when completly dead, they do the buthering and fix the meat to sell to grocers
and buther shops. Now that is humane. I still stick to my opinion on this, slaughter
houses are the most humane when it comes to killing. It's my personal hearttelt
@PrincessSpearmint Some shock, some use a captive bolt gun to penetrate the brain the same as the bullet that destroys this rabbits brain. Either method the result is the same. Destruction of brain function. No brain no pain. Simple.
Ms. with all due respect, I dont think you understand. May I suggest you watch the movie "Earthlings" that covers the commercial processing of animals for consumption. This gentleman seems to have a healthy respect for food. They look fat and happy which is more than can be said for the conditions of animals used by large corps. He slaughtered the game quickly and with respect for the purpose of consumption. Watch the movie. Your "opinion" WILL change.
@PrincessSpearmint at least he killed in a quick and painless way. Besides do you realize all the pigs and cows (even younglings) get mistreated? Its like a fucking holocaust for most of em.
@HappyJackProduction1 Get a life! You have no respect for anyone's opinion. God forbid if someone like me is not afraid to speak up and tell you how I feel about this.
What I say is my opinion you asshole! You need a life. I have one, but obvioiusly you
don't trying to make someone feel bad about speaking up and telling all the world how
I feel about this. I'm not saying peole have to stop doing this, it's an opion.
That's the final word! Period! I'm blocing my mail!
@PrincessSpearmint You can state your opinion , no one is denying you that, but your opinion is open for criticism and mockery. If this video is shocking to you, then you know very little of the disturbing things that have or is occuring in this world. Possibly because instead of educating yourself on real world news, your the type of princess who rather watch American Idol, Hollywood news ect.
@utube793 Then stop the criticizing, you can't handle it when someone is against this.
I am the type that could never do something like this, you just don't understand women and their opinions. And you seem like the type of person who likes to watch animals
be abused and tortured, and call it humane. How do you like being criticized huh, how does it feel? If you can't handle what I said then you need to grow up and learn
how to stop putting people down. period! Fianal Word!
Well the thing with whacking them in the back of the neck should actually be done in such a manner as to a: render the rabbit unconscious and b: stretching the neck in such a matter that it is partially dislodged, which will also render the animal unconscious/numb to a certain degree. Then just slice the throat nice n clean and let it be done quick. No matter what you do, it will stay painfull/uneasy to a certain extent. All you can do is make it faster, cleaner and better for the animal.
Okay i must say...I think i it is cruel to raise rabbits then slaughter then..i know it it for food but i think that its better to just go hunt them then to raise them
@TheMrairsoftlover Wild rabbits carry diseases that can be deadly to humans, there is a reason that animals of all kinds are now raised by people just for slaughter. Its called DISEASES!!! Alot of diseases in livestock have been killed off entirely due to management and vaccinations programs with the animals.
The pellet gun does an excellent job of humanely dispatching the rabbit. My dad and I used to whack them in the back of the head. It was much less effective and kinda grisly. One fault with your method: The throat should be cut and the blood drained while the rabbit's heart is still beating.
@AlphaDogChoppers The blood pumps out of the hole in the head and ears and nose. I could cut the throat but it would just be redundant. If I used a neck breaking method I would definitely cut the head off first.
great video, i nevver thought of using scissors though, Not a bad idea. I eat the liver heart and kidneys as well. As far as killing them I alway hold them by the back legs until they stop kicking and knock them in the back of the head. I can clean the fast enough that when I pull the heart out its still beating.
@starrybebo Yes after lots of people telling me that I should try the liver I have started eating it. I made a video of me flash frying some and it is delicious. Poor dogs no longer get it anymore. lol
we like seeing our children petting little rabbits...and we like to watch them all happy ( especially our children), but afterwars we take the little creature, tell our children to look away for other toys and we cut the throat of the little rabbit. And we do this with lambs, piglets, chicken, duck, geese and with practically all the creatures. We are so candid . But most of all we are proficient in our relation with animals. We caress them when we feel like it and we wring their neck afterwards.
@hellyeahlol2011 Around $30 a month in feed. I have sold a few rabbits before and it paid fo rthe food. The initial cost for cages and rabbits was much more though. Probably around $500 for wire, wood, feeders, waterers and rabbits.
Thanks for the video. I am considering raising my own meat rabbits. Why don't you give the heads to your dogs as well? I heard dogs love them! What do you do with the fur? have you found anything useful for them? Also, the food pics made me REALLY want to try this raising meat rabbits out. LOL. Thanks again!
@wolfsnaps888 Rabbits are great. Try and find some locally to try them first. You can find them on craigslist or contact a local farm club like 4H. Good luck and thanks for watching. As for giving the heads to my dogs it would give them terrible gas. lol They do get a lot of the scraps though.
I can imagine that a rabbit killed quickly this way tastes better than a tortured cow.. but why rabbits? They are so small. Why not raise fat, happy pigs and kill them this same way?
@sbranson01 Good question. Rabbits are small but one rabbit feeds 4 people and requires no refrigeration if we ever went without power. Much more healthy than any other farm yard animal. High protein, low fat and cholesterol. They are quiet and have very little smell so they are perfect for a backyard even in an urban area. The manure requires no composting. They can breed all year and very fast. They can eat almost anything that grows around the house.
@KainanRa I agree! I just don't think I have it in me to do it! I love rabbit though! very tastey... They are very cost effective too. Again, thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video, esp. the tip on using scissors. I think rabbit tastes good, and it's unreasonably expensive in the stores. Going to check out the rest of your vids now. Take care.
Best vid I have seen so far on the subject. Tell me this: What if before you gutted it, you did three things, split the breast bone from the sternum to the decapitation with the snips, cut around the anus with the scissors, and carefully cut around the diaphragm as close to the body as possible. Then, all of it would pull out as a single tidy unit without any membrane rupture from head to tail. I with you would try that and let me know as I am thinking in terms of human anatomy.
Thanks for this awesome video. My hubby and I are about to get into raising rabbits for meat. I learned a ton from this video. I am a vegetarian b/c I refuse to buy the crap they sell in the grocery store until we raise it ourselves. At least this rabbit had a great life while it was living instead of being jammed packed w/ 100's of other rabbits in feces infested pens and bleeding feet. I have watched all you other videos and the rabbits live the high life before serving their purpose.
@SunshineDaydreamist Good for you, not buying the junk in the store. When it comes to meat, if I didnt raise it right here on my own farm, I dont eat it. Period. I do not want the cruelly treated, hormone and drug saturated crap that the stores laughingly call meat. You can tell when something is homegrown, grass fed, drug and hormone free. It tastes delicous. The store bought crap however is disgusting, greasy and tasting like chemicals, nasty. I would rather eat a chemistry set, less chemicals
A good way to cook a rabbit if it between 5 pounds or under brush it with olive oil put a little salt, pepper, garlic powered , Canye pepper then wrap the rabbit with bacon then set oven to 350 (f) or 175 (c) then cook for 30 minutes then I like to broil it for 5 minute
@jauk3 pellets may be cheap. The health advantage to consuming meats that have beens slaughtere the slt throat method is that it results in a hemmorrage free carcass. Whereas one who consumes meats that have been killed as a result of a blow or the like; runs the risk of consuming flesh with hemorrage spots/ pools inside the meat. Thought you should know
"I can assure you he is feeling no pain!" How do you know??? do you have a similar experience of someone doing that to you while you take a bite out of your favorite burger?
@KainanRa What breed of rabbit was this here? And how many breeding does do you keep?

Fried em up golden brown like chicken then poped em in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes then in the broiler just long enough to crisp em up! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

@KainanRa Hey! I was just wondering how you deal with the... guilt of butchering the rabbits? Thats the number one thing that bugs me about it. I will probably have my dad do it for me, but I still feel bad for sending them to the "butcher post" lol
countrybabe561 1 week ago
@countrybabe561 I guess I just dont feel guilty. I see it like this: I am a carnivore from a long line of cornivores. Would other carnivores feel guilt for killing and eating an animal? No and they kill in some of the most brutal ways imaginable. I bred them with care and killed them in the most humane way I know how. My conscience is clear. Having someone kill them for me still results in the same outcome. Something died for my benefit. Guilt is one of the most useless human inventions.

CountryCollaboraters 3 weeks ago
I must ask, have you thought of doing like a sharp paring knife, that would be a quick solution as well, just saying. I don't slaughter animals. I'm thinking as a person who is wondering.
PS:I'm sorry we had misunderstandings, just because you slaughter rabbits doesn't mean
your not a nice person, you could be the nicest guy in your area. I'm just taking this time,
to calmly and clearly say: I know rabbit is eaten, but. I could neve slaughter a rabbit.
I know we have to do this, but, it's sad.
PrincessSpearmint 3 weeks ago
why would scissors be easier than a knife. LOL> I'm sorry, but it just sounds funny, is the
skin too thinck? I never heard of that, but still I don't agree with how the rabbit died.
Everyone please know, my belief and my opinion is here for all to see, and the video would
be disturbing. I can't even look at an animal abuse video on those commercials. I have
a sensitve heart when it comes to God's creatures.
PrincessSpearmint 3 weeks ago
@PrincessSpearmint Didnt say scissors are easier. For me it keeps me from cutting through the fur and into the meat and there is less chance of me cutting myself while working in such a tight area. Knives work just as good its just preference.
As for how the rabbit died I tried to educate you with facts to let you know that your "opinion" was misguided. You want to believe slaughter houses kill more humanely so you shut your brain of to reality. Its sad but hey whatever helps you cope.
KainanRa 3 weeks ago 4
@KainanRa Hey, what do your neighbors think when they see you butchering? My neighbors would probably pull out a gun and shoot me..... My old neighbors never said anhting when they saw us butcher 3 cows in the back pasture (their kids even walked by while we sliced the throat) but my new neighborhood is full of city slickers that hate even looking at our cows, infact we got turned in for our 4 cows because the neighbors "didn't want to look at them" Such idiots.
countrybabe561 1 week ago
@PrincessSpearmint "a sensitve heart when it comes to God's creatures."

I also love animals, and I think this was a very humane method.
xTsukeo 4 weeks ago
@PrincessSpearmint You sound like your heart is in the right place so I will be nice and explain this to you. A gunshot to the brain is considered a humane method of slaughter.
U.S.C.A. § 1902 Humane Methods
(a) in the case of cattle, calves, horses, mules, sheep, swine, and other livestock, all animals are rendered insensible to pain by a single blow or gunshot or an electrical, chemical or other means that is rapid and effective, before being shackled, hoisted, thrown, cast, or cut; or
KainanRa 4 weeks ago
@KainanRa I know that at the slaughter house, they shock them, and humanely get the brain to shut down, then they hang up the humanely braindead animal,
then when completly dead, they do the buthering and fix the meat to sell to grocers
and buther shops. Now that is humane. I still stick to my opinion on this, slaughter
houses are the most humane when it comes to killing. It's my personal hearttelt
opinion.
PrincessSpearmint 4 weeks ago
@PrincessSpearmint Some shock, some use a captive bolt gun to penetrate the brain the same as the bullet that destroys this rabbits brain. Either method the result is the same. Destruction of brain function. No brain no pain. Simple.
KainanRa 4 weeks ago
@PrincessSpearmint
Ms. with all due respect, I dont think you understand.
BlackOpsLeader 4 weeks ago
@BlackOpsLeader I do understand. Plus, I coulden't watch a slaugheting video. Itls
too sad. I'd be crying at the end.
I do understand, and a slaughter house is way more human. I've heard and seen bits,
but this is what I believe. Please don't judge what I say, this is based on what I've learned.
I've seen the show(Kill it, cook it, eat it), and I've heard about what happens.
I am just saying, this is what I believe and think.
PrincessSpearmint 3 weeks ago
@PrincessSpearmint I know that slaughering is part of life, but I am trying to tell you,
that I do get it, but do you understand? I love animals, and this video hurts, it's not that I
don't understand that's how you do it, it's your choice, but do you understand me.
I can't stand to see a rabbit killed like that. I just want to give it life. The idea that you
are watching an innocent rabbit, who's done nothing to anyone, dies in seconds.
I can't even, , it's sad.

I feel about this. I'm not saying peole have to stop doing this, it's an opion.

PrincessSpearmint 3 weeks ago
@PrincessSpearmint You can state your opinion , no one is denying you that, but your opinion is open for criticism and mockery. Possibly because instead of educating yourself on real world news, your the type of princess who rather watch American Idol, Hollywood news ect.
utube793 3 weeks ago
@utube793 Then stop the criticizing, you can't handle it when someone is against this.
I am the type that could never do something like this, you just don't understand women and their opinions. And you seem like the type of person who likes to watch animals
be abused and tortured, and call it humane. How do you like being criticized huh, how does it feel? If you can't handle what I said then you need to grow up and learn
how to stop putting people down. period! Fianal Word!

chinbunny1 3 weeks ago
Well the thing with whacking them in the back of the neck should actually be done in such a manner as to a: render the rabbit unconscious and b: stretching the neck in such a matter that it is partially dislodged, which will also render the animal unconscious/numb to a certain degree. Then just slice the throat nice n clean and let it be done quick. No matter what you do, it will stay painfull/uneasy to a certain extent. All you can do is make it faster, cleaner and better for the animal.

AlphaDogChoppers 1 month ago
@AlphaDogChoppers The blood pumps out of the hole in the head and ears and nose. I could cut the throat but it would just be redundant. If I used a neck breaking method I would definitely cut the head off first.

great video, i nevver thought of using scissors though, Not a bad idea. I eat the liver heart and kidneys as well. As far as killing them I alway hold them by the back legs until they stop kicking and knock them in the back of the head. I can clean the fast enough that when I pull the heart out its still beating.

we like seeing our children petting little rabbits...and we like to watch them all happy ( especially our children), but afterwars we take the little creature, tell our children to look away for other toys and we cut the throat of the little rabbit. And we do this with lambs, piglets, chicken, duck, geese and with practically all the creatures. We are so candid . But most of all we are proficient in our relation with animals. We caress them when we feel like it and we wring their neck afterwards.

I can imagine that a rabbit killed quickly this way tastes better than a tortured cow.. but why rabbits? They are so small. Why not raise fat, happy pigs and kill them this same way?
sbranson01 1 month ago
@sbranson01 Good question. Rabbits are small but one rabbit feeds 4 people and requires no refrigeration if we ever went without power. Much more healthy than any other farm yard animal. High protein, low fat and cholesterol. They are quiet and have very little smell so they are perfect for a backyard even in an urban area. The manure requires no composting. They can breed all year and very fast. They can eat almost anything that grows around the house.

SunshineDaydreamist 1 month ago
@SunshineDaydreamist Good for you, not buying the junk in the store. When it comes to meat, if I didnt raise it right here on my own farm, I dont eat it. Period. I do not want the cruelly treated, hormone and drug saturated crap that the stores laughingly call meat. You can tell when something is homegrown, grass fed, drug and hormone free. It tastes delicous. The store bought crap however is disgusting, greasy and tasting like chemicals, nasty. I would rather eat a chemistry set, less chemicals
