  • Nice vid

  • you added music to it.

  • Wow, that bitch sure has some gnarly cheekbones.

  • Eraserheads baby is kinda cute :)

  • Man is that really the name of the song? in where album do I can find it?It's so fucking mesmerizing!!!

  • Film didn't SCARIED me but I was DISTURBED all the time. And it was really a masterpiece

  • I think it s great- I ll never look at awhole chicken the same way again.David lynch is so unusual.viva la different

  • This movie is the kick up the arse people need, rather than being spoonfed childish, simple movies where the good guy gets the girl and they all live happily ever after, or the pretty explosions give the obtuse cinema going masses the little tingly feeling they love running down their spine due to all the pretty colours and loud noises.

I could watch inception or a similar feeble hollywood attempt at a mind fuck, but i think I'll take my movies with a hint of creativity thank you very much

  • The whole movie is such a masterpiece!

  • well that just ruined my high

  • @JM13121 we make remarks like the ones you dont like as all of the films by Lynch are fucking steaming piles of dog shit Why the fuck does this dog shit on screen deserve any respect? May i suggest Lynch makes some films people with actually watch

  • and this is why i will NEVER ever do drugs in my entire fucking life!

  • bad trip

  • this is one of my fav movie

  • this is soo freaky!

  • I'M ELEVEN AND WHAT IS THIS

  • WTF is this video hah?

  • why are you people RUINING these clips with your OWN stupid soundtracks. FUCK! I Wanna see clips from the movie...ACTUAL clips....not these clips changed and defiled by stupid music that was NOT in the movie to begin with

  • I'd kill myself if I lived in this movie.

  • i watched this high as shit and damn do i regret. i wanted him to throw the ugly fuck baby out the window the whole time and kill his bitch wife. such a fucking stupid movie there is no god damn deep meaning it's a fucking horribly bad dream gone wrong in ways only someone with manic depression or schizophrenia would have.

  • @NirvZppln94

    Agreed.

While the movie was kind of fun.

    It's highly overrated.

People always act like they figured out the "deep meaning" of something.

They're seeing shit that isn't there.

"This movie is weird.......it must be amazing and deep then! Im in the know"

  • @Skeletonwitharaygun I agree 100% I find it hard to believe that there really is any sort of deep meaning or hidden message in this movie. Its just creepy and disturbing. A good movie? yes. A deeper look into the human minds revealing more about our deepest fears and desires? no.

  • @behindXblueXeyez maybe or maybe not. there's lots of dark archetypal imagery, symbolism and the like, a synthesis of freud/Jung/Lovecraft/dali

  • @tomcornhole that's just a too-explosive mix, you know that right?...

  • @sweetpotatoefish i'm diggin' it

  • Eraserhead is my new LSD.

    Except NOTHING FEELS GOOD NOW

  • it was good fun going to watch this with friends .getting stoned .i think it was a physcotic episode 1970,s style. i fell in love with that baby .ugly little fuk hahahahahahahaha

  • Eraserhead was....ummmm. But, I suppose I was glad that I had the experience?? Uh Yeah, I dunno.

  • great!! Fantastic!!

  • harlequin icthyosis anyone?

  • @alexkills I was thinkin that too, I've seen the pictures of what Agent Orange has caused successive generations of Vietnamese people who lived in the areas affected by it during the conflict... Although when this movie was released those side effects would have yet to surface and be blamed on the de-foliant chemical... In fact since it took lynch 5 years to film the movie, the vietnam war would have still been being fought as ( the movie ) was in production..

  • What is she stepping on at 2:15 ?

  • Buddha Stalin's CHRONIC!

  • To be honest, i don't think there's any deep meaning to this movie, it's just fucked.

  • this movie to me symbolizes a man going threw life they way he is meant to not the way he wants, it is symbolizing society. He is an ultimately good character but with new and scary responsibilities i.e marrying with a deformed child. the movie was not a fun watch but it did make me think. It's just not some hyper-surreal movie saying "LOOK AT ME IM ALTERNATIVE".

  • At 1:20 what is that thing he takes out of the box?

  • @MKWfilms o_O looks like a worm to me lol

  • i dont want to watch this movie. It would probably fuck up my whole summer.

  • nice music.. know anything like this?

  • hugh hopper of soft machine? fuck yea.

  • to all those requesting this song: I downloaded it off of soulseek long ago and seem to have misplaced my copy. I'm sure it is out there somewhere.

  • @buddhastalin I think its Lullaby by Hughscore from the HighSpot Paradox album

  • @buddhastalin

    Lullaby - Hughcore

  • Anywhere I can illegally download this song?

  • David L.is a big subject- he puts that jerk Sigmund Freud in his place. Don't critique. Just create a world that casts light and shadow on us all.

  • Just when I was about to start a sane, proper life without any disturbances did I stumble upon this film.

  • did i just trip balls?

  • Strange, very strange. And I Iike it. Beautiful music.

  • 'Eraserhead Dream Sequence' - Dude are you kidding me? The entire movie is like one massive nightmare.

  • look at my vids by peter coukis

  • Gay. Why ruin the movie with this bull shit.

  • @wurtz1987 you're suggesting that this movie was ever good?

  • When i saw this movie the first time in theaters i was high and holy fucking shit man.

  • i gotta watch this movie

  • would be cool if you could up this song somewhere...

  • wait

    wat

  • I hate how horribly realistic and fleshy the baby looks.

  • What in the fuck.

  • Why do you substitute your soundtrack for the original? You suck, really.

  • omg, this is fuckin' amazing!

    I love this video.

The best fragments from eraserhead + Great music.

  • Oh..

  • This is so much like a nightmare i might've had; that's what I like about David Lynch at the same time as it really freaks me out, he captures the human nightmare, but more authentically than any ordinary horror movie, because it's based on things we may've seen in our subconscious. And its eerie! Song fit well btw!!

  • theres a lot of fear for the child in this film , i think - Am i completely wrong?

  • this movie is beyond trippy, it's just fucked up.

  • This is the closest I've been to having a bad trip without taking anything at all.

  • @SkhizeinAnimus

just watch it again , ull enjoy it , its a truly audio visual masterpiece. especialy the audie , the weird fog of noise which can teleport you right to that room when you close your eyes , its very disturbing and amazing at the same time. rarely im so influenced by a movie. i was afraid the first time i watched it itll be kinda bad trip but i really enjoyed it pretty much. but tbh, i dont have the balls and the stomach to watch it on acid or something :)

  • amen to that. anyone find this song yet?

  • @SkhizeinAnimus

Then try watching BEGOTTEN, by Elias R. Merhige

  • @SkhizeinAnimus

go to cyriak (its a channel on you tube)

  • What makes this film so amazing is that it ventures into a part of anyones mind that could only be described as "psychotic" or what could be a form of depressive "dementia".

  • I'm a huge horror fan and have seen all sorts of twisted movies and with that I'll say, Eraserhead has creeped me out the most!

  • Why can't I find this song anywhere?

  • if you find it let me know!!

  • Sigh...I guess the age of irony is dead.

  • In Heaven... everything is fine...

  • ... What the hell did I just watch?

  • part of a film that should never have been made

  • Lynch did direct Mulholland Drive....

If you wanna see a movie out of the mainstream, try watching Inland Empire. It will blow your mind to pieces. And Lynch directed it as well, it is his most recent film.

  • David Lynch is too mainstream, he needs to experiment more, stop pandering to the almighty box office - he needs to be more like that guy that directed Mulholland Drive, now that guy is genius....

  • you're joking??

  • he DID direct Mulholland!!

  • I had a dream about a piano filled with AAAANTTS, AAAANTTTS, AAAAANTS. How distuuuuurbink.

  • How can you distinguish this as a dream? the whole damn movie is nightmarish

  • @unholyimage Perhaps all we see, and all we seem, is but a dream within a dream.

    WAKE UP.

  • @thot4 It's just an old sprockets reference. Remember Dieter?

  • @unholyimage which is the whole point. i mean, when you hit a bad patch in life, everything becomes so twisted and grotesque that you pray for it to be all just a dream.

  • LOL at 1:30

  • I remember having a dream, that in some sense might be considered a nightmare. I was within this large apartment building, making my way to the top by walking on very narrow stairs. The further up I went the more stressed I got, since it was all dark and I could swear I heard things looming in the shadow. The interior of the building was very shabby and decrepit, with walls scraped for paint, and I had the inexplicable feeling of being chased. Made me think alot about Eraserhead when I woke up.

  • care

  • A reply to c0al: I'm surprised you managed to get the vowels right in that dismissive remark. Though I did miss an elaborate "lol wtf noob" or something equivalently impertinent, and perhaps it would have sat better with me had it been capitalised for good measure - albeit that would be too much to ask for from an apparent oaf like yourself. And to finalise this rather lengthy backlash on you, I'd like to conclude that unsavoury words like "care" are more than hackneyed and overused.

    Peace.

  • i've never gotten someone so internet angry with one word before!

  • A reply to c0al: I know it's hypocrisy at best, but here goes: care.

And judging from the joviality of your last comment, I'd say it almost sounds like you've scored some achievement, which I find wholly discomforting and slightly disturbing. With a slight denotive of generalisation, I trust these are just jolly children's antics?

  • Be that as it may, you're still but an itching gnat portraying yourself in a haugthy and reckless manner, spewing out foul words in hopes of stirring up some action - which you somewhat managed to do. A half-heartedly kudos to you.

  • Lmfao wtf was with that noob cunt hahahah all u said was care

  • i thought this would give me nightmares....but i only had a dream about stealing this air compresser thing from my friend to clean my keyboards...

  • this film will haunt me forever....I'm glad

  • This music perfectly goes with the images. Unbelievably good.

  • Lynch is supposedly all anti drug use and is all about meditation.

By the way, he is a great, great director, and this happens to be one of my favourite movies.

  • David Lynch must have been on some good dope to come out with this shit!

  • What just happened to my life...

  • What is really scary is that watched the movie and actually understood a whole lot of it.

  • I hear ya!! Me too!

  • This is so messed up. .

  • WTF?!?!?!?!

    That is SO scary!

Whoever made this is messed up!!

  • David Lynch

  • that movie is so fucking wierd.

  • the correct word is avante garde :)

  • I saw this movie for the first time when I was 7. That shit stuck in my head for 20 some odd years till I saw it again finally. This was really well done friend :)

  • OMG wtf is in 1:18???

  • that...would be a pre-mature baby...

  • BRILLIANT choice of music

  • thanks man

  • Buddha Stalin's got the skills to pay da bills!

  • 03:58 yummy!

  • "you look just like the baby from eraserhead"

    the dead kennedys

  • this movie makes me feel weird.

  • 5 stars all the way!! thank you soo much for the cut of the movie and the music, it was truly a great appreciation of the film.

  • i like hugh

  • Man, this video is perfect, you have chosen the perfect song with the perfect scenes 5 stars. this movie is a masterpiece. (for the people who loves this kind of movies, don't miss Begotten, Videodrome or Naked Lunch). bye

  • oh, i forgot, in wich Hooper's album is this song?

  • Seen Holy Mountain or El topo?

  • I saw holy mountain 2 years ago and it's great. Just finished to see El Topo and it's crazy.

  • the music is lullably from the album highspotparadox and I put together this video all by lonesome.

  • is this music in the film or did someone add it here? and what is the music?

  • what´s that music?

  • faszinierend

  • fucking crazy i love it

  • what a great movie. there's nothing to "get". just 90 minutes of madness

  • Regarding to discussion below I would like to say that this movie appeals to me. I'm proud to be in minority. And no, I'am not the artist. Just a simple man with some imagination...

  • Question: why is it that people love this movie so much, if it's pretty much physically impossible to understand the metaphors involved in it?

    Like, the dream sequenc.

People describe it as "Timeless". "Pure genius". "Breath-taking".

    ...but...why?

You don't even know what it MEANS. It's like a drug-induced dream of Lynch's...which should only have meaning for HIM.

How could OTHER people possibly understand this? Or even presume to love it...?

  • it is the dream-like qualities that inspire (in this film, anyway)

the eeriness of the film's reality underscores the possibility that just beneath the surface, there is something a little sick about human (civilization, society, etc.)

  • you don't need to understand something to love it. Its a piece of surreal art.

  • what they said ^

  • i strongly object to the notion that every work of art has to have quantifiable unambiguous meaning. Maybe it doesn't hit you, maybe it does, but it doesn't ever need to mean something. That would be most tedious and pointless.

  • Ok. I can understand that kind of concept.

I can see how some people can respond to an unusual, unquantifiable film such as this in a positive manner.

Even how it can become a "cult movie" of sorts.

But the film was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.

    ...

...as you said, some times it "hits you", and sometimes it doesn't.

  • So I'm guessing that, based on THAT fact right there, there are just as many people out there who didn't appreciate this particular film as there are folks who consider it to be a masterpiece of sorts.

...and if the qualities of this film aren't understood or accepted by at least MOST of the people who've seen it (I'm not saying ALL of them), then what right do certain people who DID find it "significant" have to select it for such an incredible honor?

  • That's kind of the whole point. You don't have to understand something to enjoy it. That's the universal appeal of art, things don't have to make sense all the time, as long as it makes you feel something profound.

  • Argh.

Ok, I get the fact that art can appeal to you in a purely non-logical sense.

But that same type of work of art DOES NOT appeal to a crapload of people.

A lot of folks like art because it means something, because they can understand it.

What did those people say when watching this video, d'you think?

    "Wtf?"

    That'd be just about it.

So...a film is deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant", even though a whole bunch of people are, at best, indifferent towards it?

  • Ok since you missed the point again ill rephrase it for you. Yes this movie doesn't make sense, and although I don't know what it's trying to communicate, It means something to me. The WTF factor will always be there. A lot of people have no fuckin clue what Salvador Dali's artwork was trying to communicate, but they are still moved by it... see what I mean. Of course it doesn't appeal to a lot of people, but in the art world that doesn't mean a lot. It appealed to enough to gain recognition.

  • Ok, I think I get it now.

My main argument was that I didn't believe that the people who approved of this film had the sheer numbers necessary to give this movie such an honor, as to include it in the National freaking Treasure movies.

But from what you've told me here, it seems that so long as it "gained recognition in the art world", that's sufficient for such praise.

I guess I'll just have to live with that.

  • KypDurron87, This movie is about man, who can't be good father. His girlfriend leave him with a child, because she's not ready to be a mother. This child looks like that only in his imagination, because he's a very problem from him. Girl with a big cheeks , symbolize lucky. She kills fetuses. From him this could be solution, do abortion, if he only could back in time. This movie is amazing.

  • Thanks for clearing it up somewhat for me, appreciate it.

  • @IPutASpeIIOnYou i viewed it as a man who was deciding whether or not he will go to heaven if he aborts the baby. even when its suffering/ deformed in a bad neighborhood. hes trying to decide whats right and whats wrong.

  • @KypDurron87 couple reasons: 1) there's is a lot of meaning, actually: surrealism is like that 2) the meaning can be subjective in a lot of cases, but so what 3) even the question of 'meaning' aside, it's an absolutely amazing experience, atmospherically and aesthetically.

  • @KypDurron87 why do you have to understand something to love it?

  • @brendanpr21

To include it into the National Film Registry, as a "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" film...you'd think SOMEONE would have to understand it.

Rather than sit there and say "wow, that spoke to me. Not sure HOW, or exactly WHY, but damn did it touch me in ways...unspoken".

  • @KypDurron87 No, YOU would think someone has to understand it. Most of us know that art is subjective

  • @brendanpr21

    Subjective.

Ok then, I'll bite: what does this film mean, to you, personally? What values does it transmit to you, as a viewer? How exactly do you find it both culturally and historically significant?

  • @KypDurron87 I think thats the point?

  • I really like this song. It fits well.

  • thankyoukindly

  • wheres butthead? we already clearly have beavis xD

  • I'm glad my video is causing such a lively debate on the webinet.

  • Gran bel film...ha delle carrellate oniriche da brivido!!

  • Tell ya what kids, that freak baby was not a special effect puppet! Lynch will never give away the secret but it was more real then you think! ;)

  • Whooa! Ease up there, Sparky! I was just playing up the urban legend a bit on that scene with the freak baby! Of course it's damn puppet! Relax and choose your words carefully, little boy!

  • Alright then! Ass monkey! I was trying to be nice to you, moron! I guess that was wasted on you! Relax and try to enjoy life!

  • lol. those youtubers!

  • I heard it was a midget in a suit...

  • Actually, watching the movie and paying attention to the baby scene, that is just a clever puppet but what a freaky thing! Nasty!

I was just trying to stir up a bit of friendly debate, Mike is being a pud wacker, as usual!! Thanks for the support!

  • My theory is that he took a rabbit or something like that and somehow removed all the fur and then covered what was left with some kind of something or other then made it into some kind of "puppet" for the movie. He was into a lot of weird stuff while coming up with this movie when he still lived in Philadelphia. So, it is more than a special effect, mikehoncho00....ya fag.

  • Yeah, I forgot that Lynch was very interested in "biological oddities" and most likely that baby could have been some kind of critter skinned and rigged to move around. It did kind of look like a hairless rodent head graffed on to a bloated worm body. Thanks for the support! Mikehoncho should remember that in Heaven, everything is fine!

  • the baby was a cow fetus

  • Love the dream/nightmare & fiction/reality blur, and whats more scary than women! they can swing from a dream to a nigtmare in a blink of an eye, this movie takes your mind on a ride.

  • Mad song too, nice bass line n percusions

  • Yep, its a turd. Moron.

  • Kind of like the turd your mom popped out 17 years ago.

  • i dont know why the movie is as scary as it is... i feel like i dont know if its funny or serious.

  • idk why this video and music work so nicely but wow

  • "David Lynch would frown upon this". Shit, i forgot your really good pals with David. You fucking knob. Great track Buddha
