  • Who here that is Posting Actually Lives in Jamaica now ,Not a tourist and a VISITOR but who lives in JA right now?

  • Rastas, baldheads, JLP, PNP. Jamaica unite!

  • The Jamaican government created all this.

  • They f*ck their brains up with drugs and they wonder why nothing functions.

  • why are the fighting? cannabis bushes are everywhere

  • It is so sad that in such a beautiful country and in the 21st century governments just sit back and let this poverty and violence happen it seems unbelievable.God bless the people of Trenchtown I know I could'nt live how they do enough respect to them.

  • We all know how, why and where the guns comes from. The DONS work as the political mules for the politicians. The guns come into the country from places like America, same is happening in Mexico. The corrupt politicians know who is sending out the killers. All the politicians have blood on their hands. We all know the truths. The politicians can distance themselves as much as they want. We know the truth. Bob said- "Back them up, not the brothers but those who set them up."

  • there needs to be way more documentaries like this, like bounty killer says , people dead.... thats the only way to put it. and i think without outside assistance it would be impossible without full on military action on the part of Jamaica, full on war with the gangs, and probably ruthless fascism. the gangs are like a full on separate government system that goes back to feudalism all trying to get to the top to be the shogun, ruler of all the others

  • What is the song at 14:51 , please!?

  • this is so true i grow up like these girls......there is no hope 4 the ppl in the getto...u av to move out off there

  • Makes perfect sense why the police don't have proper equipment....because the DONS have politicians in their pocket. Its an endless cycle. Politicans are worse than these criminals. They hold all the power and do nothing to stop this

  • I remember what Bob Marley told, "Music has many wars, but it should only in Music not the People." Reflect on this. There will be PEACE....

  • 9:00 come and stay in London if u need a job. Is full of ure brothers up there

  • fucking cops meudera

  • too much politics involved and @myIdolIMJ2 I feel u I gotta wake up soon for class too LOL...but yea ur parents are right, we do have it easy but we will never know their pain till we have to go thru it....I feel for all of them, but especially the boy @ 46:36. He look desensatized like he really saw and went thru some things in life and he only look bout 16...something need to change man and quick b4 a next generation have to grow like this or worse.

  • DEVIDE AND CONQUER!! Wake up people and come together

  • this is no joke i ve live in REMA 2 st fr TRENCH TOWN WE NEED HALP FOR PEOPLE.

  • cried my fucking eyes out. not just trenchtown, this is life now while i isit on my pc. I have the will to improve my comunity EARTH, i'm lookin for as many ways as possible to help, gotta get passport sorted and act!

  • why is the mentality of blacks and indians so fuckin stupid they see they dont hav food and places to live but they still hav around 7 children. Iam from Moldova the poorest country in europe poorer than india and here we know that if we hav to many children they will suffer and most will die

  • This is so sad for me. Especially since my family is from Jamaican. The CIA, IMF, politicians, and dons are destroying what's left of our little island, with all of its rich history and culture. Sigh... I can only hope things will get better.

  • Very moving film. I wish I could get intouch with one of the kids featured in the film.

  • Very moving film.

  • This is so pointless & stupid, how can these people live with themselves, knowing that they are taking lives that they can never give! They need Governmental intervention to keep orders. Everyone needs to work within the community to bring about peace! We here should also contribute our help in some way or another to help these people in the ghetto to rebuild or get out! Jos

  • @boohaa247 The government in Jamaica is damn corrupt. That's why things are so bad. It's not as simple as you think.

  • @diane33ish I agree jamaica is gorgeous. The culture is very rich.I lived in Jamaica for a year and was amazed by the talent of the people, the spunk and the attitude. But unfortunately, there were some middle class people (friends of mine) who echoed the same sentiment that you just did "violence is everywhere". Whereas this is true, I will definitely say, that Jamaica's problem far greater. When so many singers from one country sing songs with violent lyrics it speaks volumes. It is not ok.

  • @diane33ish If you cannot see that Jamaica has a problem with violence to the point that it is known for it and stereotyped in this manner, I believe this is the reason why there is little change. There has been a recent upsurge of violence in my country Barbados ( a country with a much lower rate) and we the public are up in arms about it. we understand that tourism is our bread and butter and there is no such thing as local news ie what happens here, the whole worls hears about it.

  • @diane33ish Also I have listened to plenty music from other nations and I have not heard the ratio of glamourized violence in lyrics as I hear coming out of Jamaica. Not that others don't do it, but some of your most famous songs glam up violence. How come the world know 'bout gaza and gully. Jamaica is gorgeous, but you must recognise that the story of violence comes out of the mouth of Jamaicans themselves. Most of my Jamaican friends no longer live there because they can afford to live elsewhere

  • I think they need to build a factory, renovate and rebuild the town, hire the unemployed, get guns turned in, have armed soldiers take children to school and home, and take employees to the factory and back home. Maybe I should run for president. Who will vote for me? Seriously

  • @reealitey I will vote for you once you have a very clear and concise vision and manifesto for the economic and social development of Jamaica, i would definitely vote for you, you are older than me but you are still young and Jamaica needs young people now, someone who can make better the lifes of the Jamaican people and return Jamaica as the economic power house it once was, from your words you look as if your the man for the job, Jamaica needs a new start a new system and a better life for all

  • Its amazing because America's political system isn't that different from Jamaica's, with Gerrymandering and ditrict splitting and packing, the fight over votes are still the same. Only difference is that they use the power of a gun while we use power of the pen and unfortunately more people die their way

  • that guy says he was never a badman or troublemaker then they ask him his name and he says fucking rambo. i love jamaican people but i dont know if i will ever go there though i would love to. i cant pay a load of money to go on holiday and fear for my life. jamaica have some beautiful ladies man.

  • @123456750298 The violence is largely confined to parts of Kingston, St Catherine, Clarendon & the outskirts of Montego Bay. The rest of the island is peaceful.

Jamaica isn't much more dangerous than most other places, just take the same precautions you would in any other urban setting and you will be fine.

  • i have watched 2 of this guys films and hes pointing out a serious point ,the world is greedy and rather faten them selfs than help ppl who need it ,so much money fuling the rich with funds they will never spend vs putting some of that money to good use and helping build communites ,ppl fear change and the gamble, the gamble of investing in human kind, its a shame ,the drugs and guns always seem to make it to the ghettos first attention is wlaesy focus to where the bucks are to be made

  • Bad tings a gwan a de worl..=[

  • i love this place been there twice n cant wait to go back.....trench town is da best...

  • OMG 3:49

  • This was excellent!

  • The advetisements are out of controll on here and everywhere...

  • Lets get something perfectly clear:

Life in Kingston ghettos is not exactly like life in the rural areas.

There are so many peaceful districts, villages, towns in the fourteen (14) parishes outside this capital city of Kingston.

Jamaica is a country far better than many other places on earth.

So, don't use Western Kingston ghettos as the total picture of how Jamaica is.

  • sub titles are insulting as persons in the film are speaking english and can clearly be understood

  • Man, whoever did the captions on this video did a terrible job! But besides that, I feel sorry for the people there. And people thought living in Washington DC was bad. This kills it!

  • We need to elimate JLP and PNP and start a new political party called UNITED PEOPLE OF JAMAICA UPJ.

  • to the students follow your dreams v,good doc,

  • @ Zedworth...I agree but it's good enough for who don't understand.

This type of thing is common all over the West Indies. Blame the IMF not the politicians. Jamaican has been deeply in debt since their independence. Britain just turned them loose after sucking them dry without helping with a steady foundation. The country is BROKE and the politicians have been fighting with the IMF for a long term loan which they don't do. The country is in poverty cause the PM is conforming to the IMF...

  • @CruzanRastamon, well said.

  • Bring back Jamaica. For this aint theJamaica that I went to back in the day.

  • Why don't the Marleys re-invest in their father's land.

  • @banyoass I ofen wondered that myself. Bob was known for giving back to his community. His family knows this. Rita and his kids should follow his leagacy instead of getting rich off his name!

  • Trench Town rocks trust me the best place in the world, Big up all Brooklyn Man, Park Crew, Fancy Face Crew, Federal Man, Buckers man, Action Man, Fourth street people and everyone in Trench Town right now!! Bless up

I love my country I wish there was more I could do to help. If there is anything you can do to help please help!
