  • guy kills himself

  • Does anyone ever notice that the Tin Man is the only one that's hesitant to go see the Wizard?

  • check out the tinman's dance at 2:15,when he toots and steam comes out of his head, toto jumps and runs away LOL

  • If he only had a heart <3

  • Hi everyone :) i am at university studying graphic design and i have chosen to do a brief on the wizard of oz. I am going to be producing typographical posters to bring back this classic film and give it life once again so that people want to watch the film. It would be a great help to get some feedback on what people remember about this classic film or any other thoughts would be much appreciated :) thanks Hayley. If you could PM me that would be even better.

  • more mj at 2:44

  • moonwalk at 2:00

  • i dont see a bird. when does it come on?

  • OMG! I singing this song for my Wizard of oz play auditions! thumbs up if you wish me luck!!!!

  • i guess Micheal Jackson wasn't the first one to do the Anti-Gravity Illusion lol

  • 3:33 a little flirting with Fiyero eh Elphaba? ;-D

  • Since when did witches have puffed sleeves? 0.o

  • 2:13 to 2:16 the best part of his dance :D

  • i fancy myself a bit of an ornithologist (that's a birdwatcher to the unedumicated) and i can comfortably say that the bird in question is a crane.Looks a lot like a brolga but with different colours. maybe they died it's feathers. they did that sort of sick shit back then.

  • the tin man is a good man kind a look like a knight and he's friendly

  • 4 people don't have a heart

  • Has anyone ever noticed lol looks like a stick man drowning? So next time you say lol you are killing another stick man... Just sayin [:)]

  • It's a person that hung himself in the back he walks accros to get to the tree!!!!!!!

  • wouldnt tin man be a douce or somthing with no heart...just wondering

  • I purely looked up this scene just to see the crane in the background XD So funny how they kept it going and let the bird have his fifteen seconds of fame XD lol

  • While the Tin man is dancing, the scene cuts to Dorothy and Scarecrow.

What is going at the house behind the Scarecrow? I can see people and animals moving. Then at 3:51-the house people aren't there. 0.o

  • @inuyashaslvr those are birds my man

  • i love this movie but i can't help feeling bad for Judy Garland

  • whoelse noticed the tinman is gay?

  • We're doing The Wizard of Oz for our school musical this year, and one of the male audition pieces is this, up to 1:35. I'm trying out for the lion.

  • 2:40

    MIND-FUCKED!!!!!!!!!!

  • How ironic. The Tinman asked for a heart, but the actor died of a heart attack.

  • i will say this, the wicked witch scared the shit out of me when i was a kid. i couldn't sleep for a week. i watch this when i was 5. im 15 now, but still

  • We might be doing the play of this in my high school! Im trying out for Tin Man if we do!

  • lol Hanging munchkin at the back (5:05)

  • Poor Boq. What a shame.

  • I can't help but notice in this scene that Toto is a fantastic actor!

  • It's scary that I know this whole movie by heart. Not just the songs, but all the dialog as well.

  • haha:) there's an ostrich behind Dorathy and the Scarecrow while they're talking:D

  • @LimegreenMarch19 The ostrich was edited into the DVD version to block out what appeared to be someone hanging by a tree in the background.

    youtube.com/watch?v=P8YVeMwhDNI

    Scurry shit man

  • I'm being the tin man for halloween

  • we r doing this play and im the Tinman :) thanks for uploading coz this helped me learn this song

  • I LOVE the wizard of oz i always whatched it when i was a kid but when i was little i had a dream that the wicked witch the west took me away and so did her monkeis

  • I also thought Data from Startrek TNG would sing this song next to the tinman from Wizard of Oz.

  • lol :48 & 1:24 the facial expressions kill me

  • 1 person has no heart.

  • picture me a balcony above a voice sings so low. that was the best part of the song in my opinion. R.I.P. Tinman

  • @chuggaaconroybigfan Yeah, in the book they make it clear that the Tin Man doesn't have a brain, and the Scarecrow doesn't have a heart, but they're both ok with that. The Tin Man says that of the two, he'd much rather have a heart.

  • love it awwww..xxx

  • Absolutely wonderful :-)

  • If I only Had the seeddssss

  • 1 person doesnt have a heart

  • no haaahhhhtt haha

  • im the tin man in my school play! :D

  • im auditioning to be the tinman in the school musical :') love the costume & song :D

  • no heart!?-Dorthy and scarecrow

BITCH DID YOU NOT LISTEN!!!-Tin man

jk jk jk keep it pg :P

  • the suicide has been proven not to have been several times. Every midget that auditioned got a part! They even had to hired children because there wasnt enough!

  • 2:03 behind tin mans head a dead munchskin who hung himself being he didnt get the part

  • that's some good dance moves for someone that was rusty for some years :)

  • it amazes me that they somehoe got the dog to follow along with the tinman's smooth criminal act

  • i see the bird\ munshkin at 5:00

  • isnt oil flammable?

  • Every time dorothy sings, a munchkin hangs himself

  • The girl who says "where for art thou romeo" was the voice of snow white. if you dont believe me, look up adriana caselotti on wikipedia.

  • you can see the bird (aka the hanging munchkin) in front of the shack between 2:00-2:10

  • @ljeyl86 It's a bird. No aka Munchkin about it. Bird. Plain and simple.

  • @Taspearl You mean "Toto"?

  • the tin man looks like Ricky Gervais

  • they are obviously whispering about taking the tinman with them to see the wizard

  • 1:00-1:11: SNOOOWWW WHITEE!!! :D

    I LOVE THIS MOVIE!

  • You see at 4:01 that there is no fire than in the first one from mungkin land. Its because she was severely burned because the trap door opened too early and the fire was let go to quick. It burned her face and hands mostly due to the paint that included copper.

The ironic thing is that her t=most famous qoute "ill get you my pretty and your little dog too" couldve been her last words. And one more thing, if you look at the back ground from 5:02 to the end you can see no mungkin killed themself

  • How I'd love to have two friends just like these.

  • i cant believe its made out of cardboard, after 12 years i thought it was tin aswell:/

i love this dance move he makes, he looks like a kettle after banging his chest and legs, ha! its just so inventive.

  • I wonder what Dorothy and The Scarecrow were whispering about?

    2:21

  • @CrnSal I think it had suddenly occurred to them that the wizard might be able to help Tinman by giving him a heart, because Scarecrow was already going to ask the wizard for a brain and Dorothy was already going to ask to be sent home, and so they quietly exchanged the idea. I think Dorothy spoke their idea aloud to the Tinman a moment later, didn't she?

  • @Ilovecats112233

    Yeah, she did.

    :)

    Thanks. :D

  • did you know the guy in the tin man costume was deathly allegric to the suit?!

  • @WoahIMMAdork

    Yeah!

I saw th documentary of it.

  • @WoahIMMAdork

It wasn't the suit, it was the aluminum paint.

  • I love this movie! R.I.P The Tin Man, The Scarecrow, The Lion, and Dorothy.

  • michael jackson's smooth criminal cant top that lean haha

  • The dancing is one of the best parts. I try to copy him my best, but of course I can't lean as far as he can (wires)

  • my schools doing this and im gunna be the tin man :D

  • Hehehehe, after seeing Wicked, watching Elphaba taunt the Scarecrow only looks like flirting... The fireball thing was a little too far, though. Either that or they're just kinky. xP

  • Boq's such a loserface. I still feel bad for him, though.

  • Thanks for making this available. Could you please credit the songwriters in your description?

  • i remember yesterday when i had to do the play the wizard of oz and i was the tin man

  • If anyone asked me 'Who do you like the most, Scarecrow, Tinman or Lion?'

That would be the toughest questions to be asked in my entire life!

  • gosh i love that little Toto

  • I'm additioning to be the tin man for a play in my town soon! thanks this is awsome (:

  • After seeing Inception my whole understanding of this movie has changed. Dorothy's visit to Oz was all a part of a grand scheme conducted by the ranch handy men, Miss Gulch, and Professor Marvel to plant the idea that there's no place like home into her subconscious!

  • He did the micheal jackson lean

  • the voice that says, "wherefore art thou romeo" is the voice of Snow White. :)

  • my grand father was best friends with tin man , i never got to meet him but i got to see a pic of them together. :)

  • @breahnabieber Didn't the tin-man die cause his make-up was poisonous?

  • @howlongleft I'm not sure if the make up killed him but he did have lung problems for the rest of his life. He had to quit and they got another person to play the role, and they changed the make up to a less dangerous kind.

  • cause i always meet a singing and dancing scarecrows and tin men while searching for a magician who wouldn't give me what i ask for

  • i wached this because i am playing the tin man in the play the wizard of oz so i needed some ensperation

  • I always regretted that they didn't show the Tin Man's total dance - that they cut away at times to Dorothy and the Scarecrow.

  • "MGM proclaimed at the time of filming,

that they had rented 300 birds

from ZOO PARK, in Los Angeles,

so that the director could select an appropriate

few for the background atmosphere amidst

    the trees."

  • toot toot

  • I wonder if Michael Jackson thought of that step in "Smooth Criminal" based on the Tin Man falling to the sides. xD This song is so sweet!

  • clang clang clang bang bang bang boom choo choo

  • I love the swingin' beat this song has. Great stuff!

  • It's An Ostrich,I Think

  • will someone please get that darned bird out of the frame.

  • "Let her try to make a beehive outta me!!" *Ping* Hahaha

  • @slpkntmggt06 i didnt understand that joke?

  • Look at the background at 2:10. It's not the "hanging man," but it's something else.

  • @S13AR10AFan Where do you see it at? I can't find it?

  • @slpkntmggt06 At 2:10, in the backround. Look at the hut, behind Dorothy's head.

  • That witch used to scare the hell outta me lol. Love the movie and Judy! <3

  • I like the music in this song. This here was shown on RTE ONE in Ireland back in Christmas Eve 2 years ago.

  • And remember my sentimental friend, a heart is not judged by how much

you love but how much you are loved by others.

    Good line in the movie.

  • that is my least favorite line :-(

  • @oldieschick16 Well, I'm not loved by alot of people but

    I like it anyway! LOL

  • @TeenWitchboy if they could take along tin man to see oz, lol i love this movie!

  • I always start my day like this. I start singing and then i try to walk. Afterwards I have some people oiling me.

  • Is this where Michael Jackson got that leaning move from?

  • @Shabaka87 LOL I was just thinking that. :]

  • the tin man is the original smooth criminal

  • At 1:07 you can hear Adriana Caselotti who was the voice of Snow White in the 1937 movie. This was the only other job that she got because Walt Disney didn't want to ruin the "illusion" of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!

  • did anyone see the bird at 2:54 by the shed, it's grey

  • toto got scare when the tin man done that thing with his hat

  • and btw, it IS a bird in the bg. the entire film was filmed indoors all except for the kansas scenes.

  • at 2:37, isn't that the anti-gravity lean? so much for the one of a kind one and only patented move. im a huge mj fan, but it was done 50 yrs before he even thought of it.

  • the effects still blow my mind

  • anti gravity lean in 1939 awsome i think michael jackson copied him

  • @WeblogMaster12 thats wat i said!!

  • The Tin Man's voice kinda reminds me of Rodney Copperbottom, the main character of "Robots."

  • I'd love to have a few close friends who needed my support and sympathy, and I'd have to teach myself to be a better listener, and not judge them or give unwanted advice. They could cry on my shoulder if they needed to, and I would cheer them up and make them laugh, and do my best to have a hearty smile and sunny disposition. There are usually little things I could do to help out as well. That's what friends are for.

  • I like the lexis in this song: "I'd be tender, I'd be gentle, and awful sentimental, regarding love and art. I'd be friendly with the sparrows and the boy who shoots the arrows, if I only had a heart." My words would be similar, except the title would 'If I only had friends."

  • @Ilovecats112233 Trust me. Friends suck. But then again, I'm autistic and don't care for such...people.

  • @BethGoth15 I didn't mention anything about being autistic in my comments to this video, did I? Or was it looking at my profile that made you bring up the subject?

  • @Ilovecats112233 All I'm saying is you're better off without friends.

  • I loooooooove toto at 2:40 - 2:50!!!! SO CUTE!

  • People must be hella stupid to think that's someone hanging themselves, for one, you can it's a fucking bird picking shit up off the ground, and I mean look at it? Then it just flaps it's wings open.

  • The hollow man.

  • tnx for uploading these man i wanted to hear the songs but there very rare on youtube

  • hi guys, I heard on wiki that Adriana Caselotti (Snow White from 1937 movie) apparently had a part in this movie...it should be this song, but I see no character called Juliet. It's said she's uncredited for this film.

  • @Asagiri91 It's the voice that says "Wherefore art though, Romeo?"

  • You idiots! Its like a crane or ostrich! I can CLEARLY see it walking around a bit.

  • nobody has done this message as well since, at least with as much clarity!

  • Religious opposition

Freemasonry has attracted criticism from theocratic states and organised religions for supposed competition with religion, or supposed heterodoxy within the Fraternity itself, and has long been the target of conspiracy theories, which see it as an occult and evil power.

  • I dont remember Dorthy being this hot when I was a kid.

  • @SmokingNtheGraveyard i thought she was hot when i was a kid. Juddy Garland was about 16 when she made this movie. For some reason when i was a kid i did not notice how old she looked.

  • It's a bird guys! There's another video some people made explaining it.

  • watch 5:19

  • WITCH- want to play ball?

me- thats what she said!!!! hahahaha LMFAO

  • @redsoxgirly17 - to the Witch: You go, Girlfriend!

  • witch-you call that long?

    me-THATS WHAT SHE SAID!!!!

  • its a bird you see it behind dorothy's head at one point the hanging munchkin is to the left of it i thinkk

  • love the part of tin man cant wate to act it out

  • ok now that was no hackin bird, that was a frikin munchkin, you can see it jump on a stump, put the rope on his neck and whisper kalabunga! and jump the right amount of distance to be able to swing, the bird was wright in-front of it as well so everybody's right, there was a munchkin and a bird in the same spot, at first i thought it was a birds wing, or an ostridge neck and now i know its a munchkin, birds dont move like that...

  • o, look. You can see the "hanging munchkin" ha ha, I really like this song.

  • has anyone noticed that the scarecrow and tinman live w/o neccassary organs? lol that would be awesome! :D (kinda)

  • By "brains" Scarecrow means intelligence, and by "heart" Tinman means compassion. The Tinman is made of metal, therefore not human. He wants to be able to feel emotion again. The Scarecrow literately has straw for brains, so he wants to be smart.

  • Jack Haley has a a cute an d sweet voice ^^ he sings very good

  • the person who says, "wherefore art thou Romeo?" is Adriana Casselotti, the person who voiced Snow White.

  • 2:08-2:31 dorthy & scarecrow background tell me what is that

  • I've got a question - why does Sci-Fi network remake movies like this and Dune for example and turn it into total crap? That Dune remake was unwatchable. Why does Sci Fi network suck?

BY THE WAY - HAS ANYONE SEEN "RETURN TO OZ"? I really love that movie. Its more true to the dark nature of Wizard of Oz, not this candy and glitz Hollywood version. The original wizard of oz is kinda of dark and gloomy.

  • GOD I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I'm an Oz Collector

  • I just found out I'm the tinman in our school's production of the wizard of oz!

  • congrats..I'm trying out for that part in my school's musical too.

  • in my school musical im trying out for scare crow

  • favorite song of the movie.

the movie's on right now :DD

  • one of the best movies ever made.

  • The Tin Man Is my favorite character from the movie! He's been my favorite ever since I was little and I always loved this song.

  • i heard about the guy who got hung and is that him at the end at the vid dangleing in the tree?

  • its just a bird that swung his neck out. no one ever wuz hung in the making of this movie

  • perucha8291

It's rumoured that if you look close you can see a Munchin hanging itself between the trees in the middle of the shot at the very near end of the song, but I think it's either the bird that was sat behind the Scarecrow earlier or a peice of scenery falling down :)

  • I love the Tinman's song.

  • 2:35

I knew it! Michael Jackson was a robot!

  • ohh really, was that michael jackson? cause it sure did look like you there

  • Comment removed

  • Gosh, that "hanged man" sure looks like a bird.

  • it is a bird

  • I know! I was just being sarcastic. Heh.

    Amazing what people can believe.

  • Comment removed

  • @MagicEmperor IT IS A BIRD

  • @Ozmaster5555 I know, Ozmaster. I was being sarcastic!
