  • Ahh nice I read the description and when I got through it my hopes were confirmed--this Pete has the 'cutout' in the grille for the PTO haha I LOVE the look of that for some reason, all of ESD's old Octos had that. Just like LA, the newer Octos they got had transmission-mounted PTOs so no 'cutout' in the grille, and now the newest ones both here and in LA (Ellipticals obviously) have the cutout again.

It's so beautiful from the front!! lol I found one of these on street view if you remember...

  • (contd)

OK wow YT..what's the point of your fuckin comment limits?!

Whoa..the number is 150?!?! That thing is truly ancient then? What year is this one?

SHIITTTT 4:55 that "scream" (and the ones that followed) would've gotten this truck into my favs alone! That's a total EDI thing and it probably means that this truck has this one type of transmission...God that's cool hahaha Think I might have to feature this video sometime in addition to faving it, amazing find..amazing amazing amazing :D :D

  • @Trashman242 these are around 2001 I think not sure though. yup there some of the oldest. Older than many of the volvos. I love the PTO being in the front. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • why dose the truck leave all the bin lids open nice vid

  • @Binboy112 because thats how these trucks work. If they try to close the lids they have to slow the arm down so much it takes too long. So they flip the lids. And that way they know they have picked those carts up

  • @3amrepmike3 see in brissy our trucks never leave lids open our old trucks did there were tones of bins lids open

  • @Binboy112 Tons of Aussie trucks tend to flip lids, but in some regions such as Brisbane and a few others I cant remember the name of off the top of my head, they appear to try to keep lids closed. There are many areas in the US that use these same trucks and keep lids closed too. Such as CR&R of Orange. I have a video showing those trucks and they close all the lids.

  • @3amrepmike3 thx when chatted to one of the drivers he said that is depands on the swing of the arm thx for telling me that :)

  • @Binboy112 no problem! And hes right about the swing in the arm. Some trucks whip the bins a little harder than others causing the lids to fly open.

  • I do notice the squeeze thing but not the cam lines thing. Nice footage. Too bad you couldn't track down that New Way. Where are your cars?! lol

  • @legodude24652 I dont have a license yet neither does sean. I am getting mine though since i finally got a car

  • great vids man !! i wish i had a 95 greenwaste can thats a shame about the black mail though BTW could you get some LA city commercial trucks doin dumpsters ? thanks

  • @100Burrtec100 Those are almost impossible to find. The city of LA only collects dumpsters at a few parks and such. Everything else front load is contracted out to companies like WM, Burrtes, Allied Waste, UWS, Consolidated Disposal, SoCal, Evergreen Disposal, Athens, Millenium Waste and MANY other haulers.

  • @3amrepmike3 yeah i figured as much i wish city dumpsters were more popular

  • Mike, I was wondering, why would anyone not want their trash collected by the city? I only know I would want WM because I have friends there and their truck variety is cool and the trucks are fast. Do you know a reason?

  • @MRGTMAN123 Many of you may not know, but the city workers are capable of getting triple digit salaries. They are payed well because its a government job. So people who want to save money would rather force all the workers to get laid off, and hire new workers that get paid the shit low wages that private haulers pay. That would save the city and government money, but the city will look like shit because the drivers wont care at the slightest since there getting paid a half assed salary.

  • The word gets around eventually after you film so many drivers in one place haha Good stuff, might even set you up with something in the future once the management gets to know you :) That RL which went past at the start was a very sharp looking machine... obviously a new truck, for bulk? I also noticed a lot of the bins were pulled out onto the road - is that the work of the residents?? Sweet footage, no way I could tell that this was an older truck - looks great to me! =]

  • I see what you're saying about how the arm squeezes the cart a bit. That arm is really fast! I think this truck would give the Labrie ASL video I posted today a run for it's money as to which arm is faster, lol!

  • Awesome!! There's that Pete/New Way ROFL!

  • @JaccobDalton haha yup. Shes a tricky one to find. We were entirely on foot for this one so it was hopeless lol

  • @3amrepmike3 lol i dont blame ya, same situation i faced with the freaking Autocat

  • Haha yeah I followed a greens truck in my neighborhood in January and the driver actually asked me if I was gonna put him on YouTube

  • @WasteManTony lol yea, were no secret anymore LOL

  • This one runs like a champ!

  • @THETRASH153 sure does, thanks

  • Nice job! So that is why when an amrep grabs bins and then when the come down they randomly are squished. This is a very nice truck! Can't wait to see more of these trucks. Lots of amrep footage from you lately!

  • @CurottoCanMaster82 Well after all, I AM AmrepMike LOL

  • Thats awesome that the drivers know you guys, i bet the bosses have seen it too! great video.

  • @r6man2 Yea, the people who want LA to go private rather than city run, use our videos to get drivers into trouble. Pretty sad that our hobby is a means of blackmail for some people huh. It amazes me how low people sink to get what they want.
