  • 240p... we meet again

  • It's so cool

  • why didnt the 10 people in high vis jackets and infinite science knowledge use spoons?

  • Il nage très mal.

  • Try to swim in air. Huygens must be right

  • what a waste of syrup....

  • Doing a test in that stupid little padding pool is stupid as fuck.

  • @SoooBlue and so are u tampon sucker

  • @Matt00851 Coming from a guy who chooses to write "u" instead of "you".

    Right.

  • @SoooBlue o lok its the gramar police. go fuk urself

  • @Matt00851 Sorry for not being a retard.

  • @SoooBlue go suck your mommies bloody tampon

  • @Matt00851 Speaking from personal experience?

  • "well, it is syrup" lol

  • if i had a dollar for every pixel in this video

    id have 10 cents

  • did they really fill up that whole pool entirely with tiny tins of Lyle's golden syrup??!!

  • @pandakoi yes they did

  • What a waste of syrup. I hope they ate it after.

  • I wish Richard would go back to Brainiac...it was so much better with him

  • 5:21 hes never gonna get that towel off lol

  • @Gijops i was hoping the had bags of feathers to toss on him

  • ahh i wish i could do that!!!!!!!!! =D

  • i want to make the world's biggest pancake/ waffle and just drizzle that syrup on over :D

  • it looks like he's pushing off the bottom with his hands as he swims

  • if you had a more stream like physique and bigger hands, you woud go faster through syrup because there is less drag from your body, and more pull from your hands.

this could then continue and eventually you would be able to swim through syrup faster than water.

it all depends on you, that's my theory, anyway ^_^

  • Mythbusters proved these guys wrong.. and they didn't give him any time between swimming through the water.. and fucking A, why did he have to swim in a circle...that was entertaining.. but not scientifical at all..

  • which swimming styles if done regularly will make you grow taller?

  • I think we're gonna need a bigger pancake... :D

  • The thing they forgot to factor in however is the work required. Furthermore the tiring of the swimmer. If a robot were to preform this It would be the same speed. Having more to push against means having to tire yourself out faster.

  • Sience can do me!

  • he swims in the syrup right after the water. and he wont swim in the same way exactly. >.>

  • i'd be so tempted to dunk my face in that stuff! :p

  • Must be a T-a-a-a-sty Swim!

  • i want a pancake now

  • It looks like he had pooed into the pool.

  • Why the hell would anyone do something like this?

  • Syrup is a sheer thinning fluid therefore you don't get much additional force.

  • lmfao at 1:41

  • the funny thing is that you can hear that they're totally reading directly from a script

    Myth Busters>Brainiac

  • Worst quality EVER

  • that's crap.... tickle wasn't even swimming, he was dragging on the floor of the pool... let me see you in a professional pool full of syrup

  • @cslpcrmz want to pay for it?? lol

  • Ha. Newton was right. I don't know why this needed to be tried out at all...

  • @DallasisaLeo It didn't NEED to be tested. It's just for entertainment purposes.

  • I bet that's a nightmare afterwards, its bad enough with mcdonalds pancakes

  • Newton's an idiot!

  • lol so much money wasted on syrup

  • hey that is from mythbuster !!!

  • @tshiuetin yea.... sadly....

  • i wonder what they did with the syrup after-wards?

  • All I can say is Yum lol.

  • 水同糖漿既分別.

  • Richard Hammond rules!!

  • well all we need now is a billion pancakes :3

  • omg, a spoon and a mountain of pancakes would go perfect with that xD

  • It should depend upon your ratio of drag to propulsion, shouldn't it?

  • yummmmmm

  • lol thats good.

  • 'well, not nice, but its syrup'

  • haha "you might as well have a quick taste before you go in."

  • this would be fking sticky

  • @brazy999 syrup always is ; ) good times =L

  • I would bring in some fucking breakfast! I wish i could do that! everyday...bringing mah breakfast outside and just dipping it....AHHHHH...that would be awesome!

  • Mmmmm .......Pancakes :P

  • it's the funniest moment when he says: "You see, that's stupid" 1:07

  • it's funny how people say what a waste of syrup, when water is wasted too.

  • well the water evaporates and is reused

    The syrup.....not so much. lol

  • the life guard lookes like lil wayne^^

  • @Masterpiece55555 Well technically, lil wanye looks like the life guard. That chavvy idiot came after the life guard :)

  • Of course this failed. Swimming in the syrup will make you more tirard than swimming in water therefore you'll swim slower. If the did this with a boat I think it will be more interesting.

  • he is dead fit (richard hammond)

  • i'd like to swim in that...with pancakes!

  • well that was a waste of time.

  • I find him kind of endearing..

  • Syrup** :D

  • wow he should of used giant spoons to push his way through the syrup! wow i think when i die, i want it to be by drowning in cyrup xP

  • Who are the three girls especially the brunette in the TV program Brainiac Science Abuse during the test with seeing through their clothes with cameras?

  • Going to need a hell of alot of pancakes

  • see my only problem was they needed a straight out pool so he could just try it like that so he could build up more momentum instead of waste it turning, water it doesnt mater, but with sryup the momentum would still be going one way as you turn cause you to slow down even more meaning more drag as you contuie to try to buld back up

  • They tried it in Mythbusters, syrup failed against water in that one too ;)

  • haha, this is a classic

  • i meen with 2 big pools

  • mythbusters did it with 2 pools

  • mythbusters got nothin on tickle

  • but wouldn't he be tired after trying to swim as fast as he could through water first? i know i would....

  • He IS tired. Look at water then at sirup hes clearly more tired =]

  • that must be a lot of syrup

  • what a waste as well lol

  • @robza13 that must be a lot of water to

  • I personally thought hammond was a better presenter. Don't get me wrong, reeves is a great presenter, but i thought hammond was better. Anyone know why hammond was kicked(or quit) after season 4?

  • hammond is awesome on here and Top Gear

  • @halo3fan216 don't forget wipeout

  • Brainiac is less Mythbusters and more like a British version of The Man Show.

  • Supercomment1 i agree

  • Jesus walked on water but he didn't like it. After all, he only did it once you know.

  • "you see.. thats stupid lol

  • brainiacs are just entertainment, mythbuster owns, more scienctific.

  • concrete is a liquid when it isnt dry dumbass:D

  • Thats just so not a fair test they didnt eliminate all of the variables and they cross contaminated the variables. Mythbusters rules, they do the stuff properly. the water does only come up to his knees they need a full size swimming pool really.

  • Brainiac is designed to be more entertaining. They probably washed him off before he entered the syrup which is why the camera flicks when he's just walking out of the water one.

  • what a waste of syrup.

  • what a waste, wasnt deep enough long enough, the wet suit was wet with water before entering the syrup, kinda crap brainiac test, stick to blowing up things if i were you

  • not big or deep enough

  • Not very good experiment... The water only reach the man's kneecaps

  • mythbusters just did this

  • ya but braniac is years older.

  • mythbusters copies most of the stuff that braniac does...mainly because most americans havent seen braniac

  • shame, really.

  • Higens or whatever the fuck he was called was an idiot, because he didn't account for the fact that you aren't constantly pushing. Momentum takes you forward as well. More so that your pushing, in fact....

  • its like a british version of mthbusters, lolz

  • no it's Britain.

  • mythbusters are from LA USA

  • actually they're from San Francisco.

  • Actually, brainiac are plainly stupid... They don't deal with facts, nor do they perform experiments under correct circumstances. Mythbusters are much more serious, and they know what they're doing...

  • yes but braniac is always entertainment > science

  • fag

  • yeah well go and feed them a nice pool of syru[ and shut up

  • Comment removed

  • all brainiac experiments are a waste of time, but they are fun to watch!

  • yea i know xD

  • not at all...they earn more money than they spend because people like us watches it :)

  • IF it was homer simpson tyhe syrup would be gone

  • What a epic waste.

  • this guy is a panzy, they should use a machine that generates enough torque to travel through syrup

  • now would ppl want to see a boring machine run through it or a live person? exactly. the whole reason of this show is to show science but making it interesting

  • that syrups been watered down

  • true

  • when jon swim in the syurp the mussles begining to week and week. the lest strokes the more time you go foward

  • wow talk about waste of food, seriously!!! lol

  • the pool is to small also..

  • newton was right!!! the western sure know how to waste lots of food.

  • that was not a swim in syrum

he walked and boubled his way

they should have rewareded him with pancakes

  • this is expirement is wrong.

they forgot that about human fatigue.

to really prove this they need to use a machine toy.

  • wow 30 seconds to 60 seconds...fatigue will account for maybe 10 seconds most but not 30 seconds. it was only 3 laps in a 6 foot pool too jeez comon

  • haha, i understand, i was just saying it for a more accurate experiment.

    dont get upset, hehe

  • o it sounded like u were ranting about the vid when the results were pretty clear (i think) and im not upset rofl

  • you shouldev swam in the syrup first and then wash off in the pool at the same time completing the challenge

  • But then you would have water and syrup combo instead of just water, and the result would be skew ;)

  • lol

  • you realy can go faster in syrup than water...

  • tried it? :)

  • where are the pancakes ?

  • Okay, I want to know, how the hell they cleaned that up! do they make pankakes, waffles... waste it? Dang i need to find out his email to find out :I.

  • eww sticky lol i would have ate it lol jk

  • braniac is cool BUT! the experiments that they do are wrong they dont watch if everything is perfectly the same except from the thing that is being tested like here... jhon tickle may be swimming more close in the center of the pool filled with water than in the syrup ( for example ) i like mythbusters best because they are careful and always using machines to count better...

  • so if he had been swimming closer to the edge of the pool, it should have taken him much more time.

  • opposite

  • sry xD wrong answer i was confused

  • it was pretty clear to see that his laps in the pool of water were closer to the edge than his laps in the pool of syrup, so the objection is irrelevant. and yes, Mythbusters are pretty cool.

  • Actually.

If he were swimming in the water closer to the edge, it would take him longer since the distance was further.

Therefore.. I dont get what youre saying, and yeah, Mythbusters are pretty cool

  • What i'm saying is that he cut corners when he was swimming in the syrup but he kept close to the wall when swimming in the water. its the SYRUP that would have taken longer, not the water.

  • what a waste of syrup lol

  • i wanna be a braniac

  • me too XD

  • he`s name is john tickle not john pickle

  • Tickle, not Pickle!

  • LOL

  • well the nurse asistent said once mistakely "John Pickle" lol

  • ... good question... what the hell did they do with all that syrup? lol

  • John must've put it on a lot and a lot of pancakes

  • where did they put all that syrip
