This is why I love YouTube ! From out of nowhere I remembered this scene and the mere memory made me laugh, and how valuable is a good laugh today? And I knew I would be able to find this scene on YT!
Classic, one of the best scenes in TV history. Wanted to fwd it to co-workers but some idiot had to bring religion into it, thanks for messing up a classic video, one more reason to dislike Scientology!!!
NOTHING at all wrong with religion but there is a time and a place for everything and a WKRP "turkey drop" & youtube is really not the place, in my humble opinion. From my understanding of that religion, there is a lot of self promoting and this is another attempt at that.
About 6 years ago in highschool the hidednburg came up in US history class and I shoulted "Oh the Humanity" and that made my teacher go into a 5 minute discription of this scene.
The best is when right before the credits, Art Carlson (with the little guy (herb the salesman) in tow), both a little bedraggles and more than a few feathers attached, proclaims:
"As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.."
Howard Hessman was brilliant, his wry humor reminds me of my older brother, truly, truly classic.
The episodes with Arthur Carlson's mom (and her butler) are way too few and far between.
Bummer, cut it off just a few seconds to short. I love the part where Johnny gets on the air and says "Thanks for that on the spot report, Les. For those just tuning in, the Pinedale Shopping Mall has just been bombed with live turkeys! Film at eleven."
Dude as I was watching this my Batman Begins soundtrack was playing and it was on one of the spooky songs and it fit so well it was just hilarious. As is this ridiculous clip XD. Great upload dude.
Is there anyplace on youtube that has the whole show?? Since Sarah Palin pardoned that turkey I really want to see this show again. It was a classic!!!
I'm uploading a fullscreen clip of this that shows more, including the ending where he says, "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." right now.
Great Video! Click on my name to see my new video! Post it to Facebook/Myspace or leave a comment!...we must all give thanks to our troops! Happy Thanksgiving & God bless them!

Hilarious TV Moment...but I agree with the comment about religion. Why was it necessary to tag the clip at the end...?

The single greatest moment in the history of American tv and there was no action at all. Bob Newhart's style of comedy perfected!

The Les Nessman character on the TV series WKRP in
Cincinnati wore a bandaid in every episode, either on himself,
his glasses, or his clothing.
