  • I met my woman last year. We are both in our mid 40's and spent last night listening to April Wine. We talked about our past and celebrated the good old days. We talked about our future and celebrated our potential. April Wine is still relevant

  • Back in 1991 we had our first dance as a married couple. This was our song and still is. I love you Chad and this song always brings me back to WE CAN MAKE IT THROUGH EVERYTHING that comes our way.

  • Lame song, whiny vocals and has been seriously overplayed on Q107!

  • @bored1ca The best whiny vocals around." Why am I telling you this?" You probably won't be back to hear it again.

  • @bored1ca That's what every guy thought when his girlfriend was out of the room.

  • I used to play this on the jukebox every time I went to the student lounge center when I was in college.

  • doesnt need remastering its perfect raw true talent music will and has never been this good

  • Best music ever!

  • Did this album cover give anyone else nightmares as a child? A tiger playing guitar is pretty freaking scary when you are 5.

  • Great song, great memories..being 17 in the summer of 82, cruising in my 70 Mustang Mach1 heading to the beach, friends, girls, beer, bonfires, girls. Life was perfect, what more did you need.

  • @cjwoit07 1982 was a great year...I also was 17....ROCK ON BRO!

  • Classic album, but fuck me,it needs remastering.the sound is pretty bad.Even on the cd version.

  • Loved April WIne the first time around; now I can't hear these tunes w/o thinking of Timothy Olyphant in "High Life." Great little flick, chk it out.

  • Cool fall air, bonfires, cold beer, timeless music, young love. Thank You April Wine for the priceless memories!

  • One of the best songs of the 80s

  • just between you and me our love will always be <3

  • People always say put the past behind you,But for music, I just can't its the best music still.

  • The campfires are still going most are still there a few of us gone none forgotten. I still play it and the tape is gone and a CD has replaced it.

  • good old days

  • Such good times where did the time go!!

  • We need more music like this

  • Brother wore this 8 track out in his 59 Ford pickup, cruising up and down the main drag in 1982. Took two match books wedged under the cartridge to keep it running. Got my first car when I was 16 in 1989, it had an 8 track deck in it. Went to the local thrift shop to see if I could find any tapes to listen to and in among the gospel tapes was The Nature of the Beast. Someone had a sense of humor. I had something to listen to all summer when I cruised the main drag!

  • @Trenchbroom Ahhhh the 'ol wedge the matchbook under the tape trick! I remember it well. In those days we had to improvise, LOL

  • @Trenchbroom Yep, I had a 59 ford shortbed fleetside with a 223cid inline 6. Same thing, I cruised main street with a matchbook holding the tape in the player. (but mine only needed one!), I really miss those days. (Geez nowdays the kids get a ticket for cruising Main Street!, when we cruised main in my day that allowed the cops to see if anyone was out of control. Nowdays they force them out of the main drag to who knows where!).

  • @Trenchbroom

Dude, great illustration. Took me back! Thanks!

  • @Trenchbroom 8 tracks seem so long ago. Used to sit in my brothers truck listening to his for hrs.

  • OMG!!! These were the good, good, great times!!!

  • Seen (Stereo) then said ya

  • After playing Bad Company and Robin Trower you put this on so your girlfriend knows you have a soft romantic side...and she loves it.

  • i graduated in 82 jfk high in taylor michigan, seeen this band like 3 times, open for rush and styx, they were awesome, check out max webster and kim mitchell if you can, more kickass canadian stuff, oh also trooper.

  • On 8-9-11 herd The song Sign of the gypsy queen .Then later that day looked them up on you tube.

I was shocked to see Just between you and me.I had never heard this song.Yet My old girlfriend put part of the lyrics in two of my year books.

I did not know she felt that way.

    She was the best.

  • *sniff* Promised myself I wouldn't cry. *sniff*

  • i love reading everyones comments that bring them to the exact time in there life with a song, great music does that. i love the 80s and glad i could be apart of it.

  • Intense AW fan here! Awesome tune! Thanks for publishing it!

  • @shanefire6

haha my tag is a joke, obvi. also, april wine kicks ass! i wasn't bashing them in the slightest, i was simply stating that there is still good music now a days, its not ALL garbage...just most of it :D

  • my mom and dad's favorite song when they were young :)

  • Now I gonna have to see if these guys are playing anywhere in Florida...love this song:)

  • i requested this song at my middle school dance last year. they said they had it but they never played it because according to them i was "the only person who would like it"...

  • @120wf That would be your parents or even grandparents music. It Rocks, but I am not a big AW fan. But this song rocks.

  • Back then,No computer, no cell phone, no BS! Hard to believe. Our society is so fractured now. We used to be as one. I still don't own a tv, though. 11 years and I don't miss it. A five year old dumb phone. Off half the time. Old stereo is crankin' You want to talk to me? read my lips, lol. That's all. Have a good day. (I do have a kickin' PC and sound system, though) Just not into all that other stuff. Make life easy.

  • @broncobra I'm with you, on this modern day BS, took us till about a month ago to even go computerized in our household. Still have a turntable with lots of albums, trying to keep our kids simplyfied, that all this techno is not a neccesity, but a tool for usefulness, not just to occupy and babysit our children, hope some parents read and get it.

  • @broncobra I don't know you but I completely relate with you, and we're on the same page in terms of what has happened to our society and culture........I have forgone tv for the past year as well and it feels great.......

  • APRIL WINE---''JUST BETWEEN YOU AND ME''

  • my favorite by April Wine..<3

  • AW hit #21 in Billboard, 4-25-81. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • I'm 41, grew up with this great music! Just yesterday I took the T tops off my 74 Corvette, dialed in this song on the MP3 player and drove 100MPH down the interstate singing at the top of my lungs! I wonder where Julie is these days???????

  • how do you get the tone of the lead guitar from the intro and solo?

  • @blozier2006

That tone is awful! It sounds like they're going out of the amp right into the board, which is strange. They should be using mics in front of the cabinets, but you can tell they're not. You really like the guitar tone on the solos?

  • This song used to make my mom and dad sooo happy when they were smitten with each other back in the day, today, he burnt her toast and I haven't heard the end of it.

  • I once saw Myles perform at The Blue Line. The set was unmatched in its musicianship. It was a real rocking slapshot.

  • I photographed April Wine in 77 in Calgary. To see the shots go to ianmarkmusicphotos (.com)

  • Just a great song!!!

  • Great song!!!

  • Seulement entre toi et moi

  • I wish I lived in the 70s and 80s...

  • @jlawleafs I did and its fun looking back at times.I grew up in the early 60s

  • those were the best years! good music, good friends, first loves and rock ballads!

  • Believe it or believe it, I got my first "taste" of April Wine via the local library in their media section, renting LPs, they even had Motorhead's No Sleep till Hammersmith!

  • we were lucky to live through the 70's and 80's

  • Reminds me of the summer of '87. My friend John used to blare this in his 73 Gran Torino Sport. 351-4/ C6. Good times, that will never be forgotten.

  • @67firebird428 I had a 73 mustang, 351 cleveland, FMX tranny. Damn to have that car, my mullet, and all the money I pissed away between then and now. I would be set!

  • thank you so very much for this beautiful song this will be our song my dear friend/comrads

  • I think this sounds like the Argent/Petra/Kiss song God Gave Rock and Roll to You.

  • I'm 14 and the 80's rule.

  • @vfip3 ... that's so awesome !

  • Back in the early 80's. Bonfires, good friends, colorful dreams, cold beer, teenage love... we wore this tape out!! It was a Fun Time!

  • @WealthLetter --- I graduated HS in 1981.... I'm right there with ya...wore that cassette out !

  • @julieam05 .... Yeah, sometimes I wish I could go back

  • @WealthLetter What's a "tape"? lol, j/k The pencil to fix, the scrap paper to record, oh the old days!

  • @trippinontussin ...Lol, I totally forgot the scrap paper trick..... Remember the folded up match book jammed beside the 8 track tape so it wouldn't play 2 tracks at once?

  • @WealthLetter We do the same thing now, with better music.

  • @shelta11 ... Glad to hear it. Cherish these times. They will one day be your good 'ol days. BTW, I still do these things (except for the teenage love), guess old habits die hard...LOL

  • @WealthLetter an 8-track, perhaps??? ha ha ...

  • @ralphyization Didn't have this one on 8 track, it was a cassette. I did have a lot of 8 tracks though

  • 1982...Wow...

  • it's sad that justin bieber has more views than this.. very, very sad.

  • I should have listened...so many years ago. Haha. There was a gal in High School that really loved this song....I hated it! I was into Judas Priest and Maiden. Years later and miles apart I realized what she meant. A lost opportunity. But we all have those moments - So remember something is not what it seems. I was a fool...looking for the "perfect" girl. Hahahaha

  • @DickLodge68 Yea man but it makes for great memories. Had a few of those moments, just feels good to remember back and think about what if.....

  • @mach1franco Yep, ya just never know but that's okay too. Thanks for the input!

  • I remember many highschool dances, always afraid to ask that one chick to dance to this song and working up the nerve about 1/2 way through. Funny thing is, I married her!!!!! Great song, many memories. ty for the upload

  • always love this song. Thanks for the post.

  • I was born in the late 60's and I have to say that 80's music is the absolute BEST...I LOVE THIS SONG !!!!

  • @chelleluvsmike why is your channel so empty?

  • @TheCozybear65 I only recently started using YouTube and am still learning how it works. At the moment I'm just converting videos to mp3's for my player.

  • @chelleluvsmike i was just kidding. Have fun converting.

  • @chelleluvsmike i was just kidding. Have fun converting.

  • long live rock the 8 track era lol

  • I remember making out to this with my gf under the stands at the football games when this first came out. Yes, It was on 8-track.

  • This was released in March 1981 and reached #21 on the Billboard pop chart.

  • @BeatleStone Haha, and right before I was BORN in 82, and then I was named after the band cause my mom loved this song.

  • going to see these guys in acouple hours :D

  • Yes there is no excellent music past Y2K. Well, maybe there is but there's not a lot of it. Not like 'back in the day'.

  • The Video For This Song was played many many times during the mid and late summer of 1981 on MTV . MTV was born on august 1st 1981-and I cant remember exactly when I first tuned in. But I do know it was August 1981. Id never seen anything like it- some vids were cheesy and stupid-others just showed the band on stage-but the music was cool! I was 12 years old at the time-but I remember- most new music was good- and MTV played it! ..... MY HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED

  • @f2555 Mtv doesnt even play music anymore! just stupid reality shows! what the hell I got my own reality. I loved the 80s. Lived the 80s this music brings me back there. Would go back there in a heartbeat. Yea it was cheeeesy, but DAMN! it was fun! PEACE!

  • @mach1franco The 80s were so, so very good, we didn't know what we had! I bought a brand new Buick Grand National in 87, but had to wait 4 months till I turned 25 before any insurance company would touch me! .lol. I ate beans and rice and ramman noodles, but life was good. The sun, the women, the way women looked, everything was optimistic. we were on a roll. Good times will never end there. MTV ruled back then. Big hair, Max Headroom, everything. The sky was the limit!

  • @broncobra --did you ever see "Dazed and Confused"? Even though its set in the mid-70s, the vibe was the same as you described...pretty girls, keg party in the woods, fast cars, rocking tunes, and most importantly. being happy and free. The 80s weren't easy for me, but I will sure as hell take it over the 2000s--no Amber alerts, no terror threat levels, no airport pat downs, no Octomoms, no Lilos, no Farcebook, no gang shootings at the mall, no texting, no political correctness! I miss the past.

  • @DestroyerofSouls666 80's weren't really easy for me either, but I hear you. I'm glad I lived through them instead of now, for my youth. It was a very, very special time. I thought it would never end! Keggers, fast cars and faster women! Good tunes! The air was almost electric - it just buzzed with energy and optimism. You nailed it, buddy! Happy and free.....what a concept.....(and I thought the 80's were a jack booted thud compared to the 60s and 70s! lol, how little I knew)!

  • @DestroyerofSouls666 Amen to all that shit Brotha!!!!

  • We are the only ones who can bring back this music cuz nothing will ever beat the 80' ROCK~~ AND YES, THESE BANDS ARE ROCK!

  • This guy has a great voice. It's in my pitch, too, which is cool.

  • '84... man i was a senior in high school ready to take on the world. I'm 45 now and hurt myself yawning the other day...

  • @bigdsears I feel your pain man. I'm 35 and pulled a muscle stretching.

  • @bigdsears im 40 1/2 and i know what ya mean but damn this is some good era for music

  • @seksamerika Just between you and me, we're awesome...

  • Reading your post made me laugh out loud! We're the same age and I totally identify with what you're saying. Last summer, I sprained my ankle by sitting cross-legged in yoga class. Also, I'm having the hardest time posting this message..

  • @bigdsears lol
