Indeed, I wish we were one once again as well. The UK has such a rich, and deep tradition, one we (the US) lacks. We are suppose to be a "world leader", but at the end of the day I feel we pale in comparison to the UK. As if the child became ruler, instead of his parents. Being united would indeed help in multiple ways
@NathanAndrewLonsdale "old guard" is a generic term for the guard shift comming off of duty. the 3rd Infrantry Regiment doesnt have universal rights to the title.
but why the big friggen hats!?! those things cover their eyes...how the world do they see!?! that is one major design flaw good gosh how are people to take them seriously with a big ass fur dome on their heads like that?
@GeneralL33TSauce They aren't actually a British thing. After the Battle of Waterloo the Grenadiers were allowed to wear the Bearskins, as they were the headdress of some of the defeated French. It's like a war trophy so to speak.
the band is some distance from the camera..sound travels slower than light..they are in perfect step, and for maxjr..the foot hits the ground on the drumbeat...
England still has royals because of tradition, and if the monarchy were to fall, then none of the English speaking nations would have anythong to rally 'rund and unite us. That also goes for US! Americans were English in everything but name. If it weren't for the Queen (King) we'd be torn asunder. Aussies, Canadians, Brits, and Americans are of 1 family.
light Blue berets are British Army "Army Air Corps". They fly AH64 D Apache amongst other aircraft. British Army keeps control of tactical aircraft assets as it doesn't trust Royal Air Force (they don't fly after 4 pm or at weekends...?). Guess Army Air Corps band were doing a stint at the Palace.
@INDYANDY4C One family but not b/c of the queen maybe canada and aussies sicne shes the head of stae, but not the US. Either way I agree we are one family!!! Long live America, Canada, Australia, and The UK!!

@INDYANDY4C The U.N troops were still looking for Iraq's W.O.M.D and Buckingham palace was the only place they hadn't searched.
