dude, The Flash has been done. He made an appearance in Season 4 and Season 6, he's on Oliver's JL team. The only JL members still not in Smallville are Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter (though he will join later), Zatanna Zatara, and the most elusive man of all: Batman (since we have yet to see Batman as a teenager, it'd be interesting to have him on Smallville as a tie-in to Begins and the Dark Knight.

actually, yes he can, and kind of did in Season 3 since the character Adam Knight was a model of Adam West and the Dark Knight. And the only reason he hasn't been on Smallville thus far was because Nolan still has the rights, hence why Green Arrow is in the series (he's basically Batman with a bow and arrow) And since WB OWNS DC, they could put Bruce in at ANY TIME they see fit, since Nolan no longer has the rights, and the writer's WANTED Batman on Smallville from day 1.

actually, Bart starting calling himself Kid Flash AFTER he was shot in the knee. Batman was the one who named Bart "Impulse." Since Bart is actually short for Bartholemew, just like Barry is, we can assume that it's Barry Allen since this is Superman's origin. Although he has traits from all 4 Flashes thus far. Bart does become the Flash when Wally enters the Speed Force, which Bart absorbs into himself before he died and Wally returned followed by Barry in Final Crisis.

Geoff Johns is writing the episode, which is based on the graphic novel he wrote where Superman first encounters the Legion of Superheroes. It's also going to be the episode where Clark learns his second last superpower: Flight. (He still has to have cold breath. He has SUPERbreath, but he can't freeze things with it yet)
