It's a very complicated sh!t we've stepped into, and Cheney knew that this would happen if we attack Iraq (he talked about it back in the 90's). Now, as long as we're there there will always be young angry Iraqis who had lost members of their family for example, and they live in poverty so dont have much to lose- they will be radicalized very easily. Al qaeda as u understand it does not exist...it's really more like a frenchise organization. What we are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan is many different tribes who fight each other. So it's not even a war as you call it... It's more like many different conflicts in which we choose sides (therefore creating new enemies and gaining some allies).
