  • i know this happened a couple years ago, but one solution may have been simply to issue post dated cheques, dated for after bailout cash was repayed.

  • So AIG accepting bonuses from the bailout bill which had no stipulations about not recieving bonuses really has a lot to do with your people not having 401K's in your district Lynch? So AIG has to spread the wealth around like Obama wants, and give everyone money? That really makes sense. You are facist communists Frank and Lynch because you are trying to take control of businesses to push a communist agenda.

  • Considering the federal government bought enough stock to own the company, although they do not because of section 13 of the federal reserve act; however, they do have the ability to replace management. On top of that, AIG did not accept this bonus, it was forced. The only reason why AIG was bailed out is because at this point it is crucial to the economy.

  • Ok Frank, he will send you the names once you send the contract of your sweetheart deal with Countrywide. But wait Frank, you are an absolute fucking hypocrate. Or how about releasing information about you having homosexual relationships with your interns. You have done so much worse shit than this AIG executive Frank.

  • I just want to clarify that I do not agree with these executives taking bonuses from our tax dollars. But who's fault really is this? The executives, or Congress? Congress passed a bill without reading it or making stipulations that would not allow executives to take bonuses. So Lynch, if you care so much about your citizens, then stop being so fucking stupid. But wait, you cant, your a democrat like Dodd, Frank and Obama. Also, didn't you recieve a sweet heart deal from Countrywide Frank?

  • The CEO should say, you will recieve your bailout money back today, and you all can go fuck yourselves. These politicians are so fucking stupid. They are mad about executives in the USA recieving millions in bonuses, but what about the bonuses recieved by people who are not even U.S. citizens? A REVOLUTION is coming, just wait, oh just wait. The liberals are trying to cover up their mistakes. But that is what happens when you pass trillion dollar bills no one reads. Lol.

  • The CEO should tell Lynch and Frank to fuck themselves, because that is what they deserve. Pay back the money AIG and then tell the democrats to go fuck themselves. Lynch and Frank are mad about a couple million dollars the AIG executive recieved, but dont mind wasting 1 trillion dollars? This is absolute bullshit, and that is why a REVOLUTION is coming. Look at the Tea Parties Dodd, Frank, Lynch, Obama and all the other communists in government. Just wait till 2010 when you will all be out.

  • Frank, Dodd and the democrats are so stupid. If they did not want executives to recieve bonuses through the bailout bill, then why didn't they put that stipulation into the bill. Also, Fannie and Freddie executives recieved over 200 million in bonuses. I don't see Frank and Dodd going nuts over that. These politicians are so stupid. This CEO should tell the congress to fuck themselves and then pay back the money.

  • So they have taken gov't money and now no longer have a right to privacy? I would take offense too.

  • "i take offence" wtf!?!?!?! what about the rest of the freakin US! this is ignorance at the top of its class.

  • It seems obscure to see one man bear the grunt of these critics. Its like as if 1 man is completely responsible.

Can someone explain what the big deal is in keeping the names confidential? I mean if the names went public what's the worst that could happen for those names?

  • I get so mad at those assholes!!!! D:<

  • AIG CEO argues he's "contractually obligated" to make payments...fuck the contract! AIG would be bankrupt if not for the taxpayer. Those contracts are irrelevant because of special circumstances.

It's just the rich gaming the system to put your money in their pocket. It's always been that way and it will continue.

  • Drag them out to the guillotine. It worked in the past, we should bring back that golden oldie.

    I'm kidding,,,mostly.

  • Congressmen/women are completely inocent!!!

Or thats what the want you to think.

    +++++++google the CRA.-the real story

Also look for old vids of Barney frank forcing the banks to make risky loans and to fill "quotas"

  • dammmn a subpena

  • "In excess of $100,000... Or more."

My God. That's just redundant... And repetitive.

  • what a douchebag

  • this is awesome!!! this is a great American farce. Brilliantly done, congress is putting on a show pretending they give a damn, meanwhile the architects of this who used to work for Goldman Sachs have given tax payers money to AIG who in turn pay Goldman the billios owed to them. And then the politicians turn around and direct their anger at bonuses; they're great actors. to feign concern like that takes tallent. CURRENT this clip is useless pr hackery. Grow some balls

  • ouccccch...

  • let them go out of business

  • Is there a bigger idiot than Barney Frank? I don't know who I despise the most between him and the bankers. These hearings are nothing more than crooks questioning crooks.

  • I feel bad for this guy. It makes me mad that he didn't step in when the bonuses were given and said "Hey, this isn't fair to tax payer", but he also didn't hand out the bonuses either. He looks embarrased and, at times, like he wants to cry.

  • Well i hoped we learned are lesson and not bailout companies

  • Yup, we are just waisting more money then we need to.

  • i like how these crooks in DC act all tough, knowing full well this guy is a scape goat for them.

  • It should really remain confidential who received the payments. As much as I don't agree with the bonuses at all, if the names are not kept confidential, that would become a HUGE danger to those people who received them. No doubt we would be hearing about the deaths of those people in the next videos...

  • The CEOs of Enron were made public and no one assassinated them.

(Although one of them 'mysteriously' died shortly after a ruling was made against him that would have forced him to return the money and his death allowed his family to keep it!)

  • I feel though like AIG has been made into more of a public enemy than Enron was, and this issue has offended more people because it is basically stealing from the money that was meant to help the country. I just think that revealing the names of those people to an unemployed public, with rising taxes, is not a good idea.

  • Enron used illegal business practices to monopolize and then restrict the electricity supply to California to line their pockets with gold quite literally killing some people in the process and did so intently, knowingly and callously.

These AIG guys are not nearly as bad. They just took the bonuses their badly drafted contracts promised to deliver as a standard part of their pay schedule-- and many returned or rejected them.

  • I agree that Enron was much more at fault than those who accepted bonuses, but all I'm saying is that the names of those people should remain confidential... Enron didn't happen during a time of global financial crisis, soI just feel like the CEO's decision to politely refuse to reveal those names is reasonable.

  • Um... lol

  • haha stupid CEO that's what you get bitch

  • Yea... he is afraid... guilty consious perhaps...

  • I wish the government had bought out starbucks instead, then at least we would own something profitable.

  • I work for Starbucks and I can tell you, US gov't doesn't need to step in there. Mostly because Starbucks' profits are actually rather small compared to other companies.

  • Is so easy to tell when some a-hole is lying to you...

Where can I find the complete questioning?

  • yayyy
