Now this guy says 3 cars drove up to the check point and they just wasted them..no warning shot...no intent to blow though the checkpoint.. Now maybe i'm wrong. The infantry unit I served in was really squared away. I just cant see how a marine unit could be this jacked up to coincide with the story he is telling. Third, If three cars ran their road block, got lit up and where innocent.. what the hell was wrong with the road block? Far as I know (and this was true about my squad) each humvee has concertina wire, and STOP signs made up in Arabic. You place the concentina across the road, and u set up the signs. You set up that up a decent distance from your vehicles, and you orientate your gunners.
Second if he is the NCO at the time, what target is he engaging when he said he started shooting? Your telling me he put his red dot scope on people and pulled the trigger for no reason at all, and on top of that, didn't realize the situation or have control of his own men?

What is your source please? David Holwerk, Sacramento Bee editorial pages editor, wrote that his paper checked with the Pentagon and found that Massey was honorably discharged from the Marines. If you have found evidence that counters that, please make it available.
He was there and yes some innocents were killed, but it was far from a genocide and far from being war crimes, and his story was mostly blotched with exaggeration and some flat out lies, and it was an accident and a tragedy. On the second day an Iraqi man brought a truck to gather the dead for burial, since the Muslim religion says that the dead must be buried within 24 hours.
Yes there were innocent civilians killed on those two days but trust me it was not intentional and definitely DID NOT go down the way that Massey said. There were no protestors, there were bunkers and a mix of innocent civilians and fighting military, which in a war zone is sometimes hard to decide between the two, although some liberalist college kid or some desk riding congressman will say is easy to do. Either way, Saddam's actions DO NOT excuse U.S. military actions. If the allies had slaughtered 600K Germans post-Hitler era, it would not be a good excuse to say "Well, Hitler killed. . .".
I'm interested to know how many of those 600,000 civilians had weapons. Once you take aim at a soldier, you lose your right to be a civilian, you're part of the war now. My point is how many of those 600,000 killed are innocent civilians that had no intentions of killing US troops?
The report says that they're *civilians* and in order to be a civilian you can't be armed, therefore the logical answer would be none. There's a completely different count for armed terrorists or "insurgents". That 600,000 figure only covers civilians.
If you support the troops, question your government. If someone put a stop to the CIA putting Saddam in power in the 70's and backing him against Iran in the 80s, then nodody would have had to get killed fighting Iraq in the 1990s and 2003-present. seems to me you know just enough about the Corps to get yourself into trouble. at 3:08 the caption clearly says recruiter and trainer, trainers are not DI's, I remember quite well, there is a difference. Although I do not call myself "ex" some folks had a bad experience, and see it like a divorce, IE "ex-marine" may seem more appropriate for them, and if you noticed the producers called him a Marine until he refered to killing inocents. Far as I know (and this was true about my squad) each humvee has concertina wire, and STOP signs made up in Arabic. You place the concentina across the road, and u set up the signs. You set up that up a decent distance from your vehicles, and you orientate your gunners.

What is your source please? David Holwerk, Sacramento Bee editorial pages editor, wrote that his paper checked with the Pentagon and found that Massey was honorably discharged from the Marines. If you have found evidence that counters that, please make it available.

He was there and yes some innocents were killed, but it was far from a genocide and far from being war crimes, and his story was mostly blotched with exaggeration and some flat out lies, and it was an accident and a tragedy. The Iraqi people are thankful for what you are doing. Even though some innocent people have died, for every one that you have killed there is at least 200 that you have saved from the savage Saddam."

My friends and I have to live with what happened for the rest of our lives. And if we could go back sort out the civilians from the militants we would in a heartbeat. On the second day an Iraqi man brought a truck to gather the dead for burial, since the Muslim religion says that the dead must be buried within 24 hours.

Yes there were innocent civilians killed on those two days but trust me it was not intentional and definitely DID NOT go down the way that Massey said. There were no protestors, there were bunkers and a mix of innocent civilians and fighting military, which in a war zone is sometimes hard to decide between the two, although some liberalist college kid or some desk riding congressman will say is easy to do. To them I say put your money where your mouth is.

First, I just want to say that I don't care if anyone that reads this believes what I am about to say or not because me and the guys that were there will always know the truth of what happened on those two days. I was a Marine with CAAT1 3Bn 7th Marines 1st Mar Div. SSgt Massey was my Plt. Sgt. and was the reason that me and my fellow marines were under investigation for almost 2 years, even while we were back in Iraq for a second tour.

The US is training soldiers to kill civilians, pretty obvious by the fact that 600,000 civilians have been killed by the US in this war already, and that about 90% of the kills in the war have been civilian, not military. As for how much Saddam killed, that's not important. He may have killed hundereds of thousands but he's only been proven guilty of killing hundreds. Either way, Saddam's actions DO NOT excuse U.S. military actions. If the allies had slaughtered 600K Germans post-Hitler era, it would not be a good excuse to say "Well, Hitler killed. . .".

I'm interested to know how many of those 600,000 civilians had weapons. Once you take aim at a soldier, you lose your right to be a civilian, you're part of the war now. I regret to admit I took aim at a kid who couldn't have been more than 16 years old who shot at me first, and it fucks with my head still. The report says that they're *civilians* and in order to be a civilian you can't be armed, therefore the logical answer would be none. There's a completely different count for armed terrorists or "insurgents". That 600,000 figure only covers civilians.

If you support the troops, question your government. If someone put a stop to the CIA putting Saddam in power in the 70's and backing him against Iran in the 80s, then nodody would have had to get killed fighting Iraq in the 1990s and 2003-present. Geddit? take responsibility as a citizen. Why leave it up to the troops to get shot at, while you take it easy, like the politicians? Not to mention innocent Iraqi's Iranians, Vietnamese, Cambodians, etc.
