  • she didn't want voldemort to be able to use them to get to her (which would get him to harry); she was protecting them.

  • someone explain to me because i don't quite understand but why did hermione erase her parents memory in the first place?

  • @jbfan4everX1000 because she was scared that she may die and she did not want her parents to be sad

  • @LeaDoowap I wonder why you even take the time to reply when your answer is wrong.

  • The music is incredible!

Alexandre Desplat, the music is fantastic, it is perfect for the last two movies.

    It's just absolutely amazing.

  • 'Obliviate' Must be the saddest bit in this movie,Why would you wanna forget Hermione?!

  • AMMOOO

  • Harry Potter forever!! I am pottermaniacaforever... always....

  • The one thing that annoyed me in this movie, was that it was overloaded with the Ron and Hermione romance, it might just be me that was a little irritated by this. At one point I turned to my mom and said, "alright, we get it, they like each other. Stop trying to throw the romance hints in at every scene."

This may be because I personally don't care for Ron and Hermione in a romantic relationship, please don't send hate, I love the HP series but this was a big complaint for me in this movie.

  • @ronvins I dont think its too much of their romance. She loves him, and love is important, still, it isnt the main theme of movie, so its ok for me.

  • @TheJustCreative I know it wasn't a main point, but there were so many scenes showing how much they care for one another that it just seemed to overload me.

  • @ronvins It would be unrealistic if these scenes arent there. hey love each other, and you wanna see them acting like they did in previous movies, when they were just friends?

  • @TheJustCreative Well as I said, I don't like Ron and Hermione in a romantic relationship so yea, I preferred it when they were just friends. :)

  • @ronvins But they falled in love... whay can you do:)

  • @TheJustCreative I know, I know... but that doesn't mean I have to enjoy it. Also, do you have any idea when Pottermore is supposed to be open to the public?

  • @ronvins I thought its already opened. Few of my friends have been already sorted, but Im not sure.

  • @TheJustCreative I know people who are part of it are part of the beta, and I haven't been able to sign up or anything yet. :( Was just wondering if you knew when we could expect it to be officially opened.

  • @ronvins Im not that interested in pottermore, as I think its another way of making money after movies are finished, but if other people likes it, then why not.

  • @ronvins I'm part of the beta testing, but it really is a bit boring. D: I mean, the sorting and picking your wand is fun. But that's about it. But they extended the beta testing period, so I guess they'll announce when it's open for public soon.

  • @SmilesInTheDark Thanks for letting me know, I can't wait. I've been looking forward to this site since it was announced.

  • @hoodge95 it was, in the part where she was sitting in the forest with harry and telling him about how her parents use to take her in the same spot when she was little.

  • some of this track reminds me of music id expect from a tim burton film

  • Hermione. Dinner time.

    I´m comming mum.

    Obliviate !

  • i cried....thumsb up if you cried at this amazing piece of music as well :'(

  • "The Forest of Dean. I came camping here once, with my mum and dad." - Hermione Granger.

  • where was the first part of this song used at? I know the last part was used when Harry found the sword at the bottom of the pool though...it was really confusing...a song titled Hermione's Parents used at the end of the silver doe scene :P

  • Dobby's Farewell.

  • Anyone know where the dance music of Harry and Hermione?

  • @nana552100 Nick Cave - O children

  • So deep and somberly notes this song contains, even if it was a minor moment, it grows depressing, even the higher notes as it's climax grows.

  • Wonder what happened to her and her parents after she knew she would survive?

  • @EmmaWikkeHornbak she found them in Austrailia and gave there memories back

  • @Juicylemons1 - YOU MADE MY DAY! :D

  • YUSH! Harry Potter won all the Teen Choice Awards!

    Problem Twilight?

    UMAD? >:3

  • Very Ravel-like music. Understandable, as Alexandre was French!

  • rip childhood fuck it

  • The Last One Made Me Cry, The Last One Is Very Touching I Love All The Movies I Know For A Fact That Once It Goes On DVD I'm Going To Get The Last Movie And Watch All The Movies From Beginning To Last.... I Love Harry Potter <3 (:

  • I actually cried at this scene in theatres. who'd ever want to forget Emma Watson ! :.(

  • @steeiman4 i wont ever forget her. She is just incredible! One of the first times i saw one of the middle films i found her to be my favorite character in the movies. In the books she is just slightly different but still the trio are my favorite in the books. i cant pick a favorite

  • Good news everybody! I actually looked it up and J.K. Rowling says that Hermoine does find her parents in Austrailia and like undoes the spell or whatever so they remember her. (:

  • @TheFetchPickles Bullshit

  • @TheFetchPickles YAYYY!!!

  • @TheFetchPickles lool lool, in which book ?:P xD

  • Wait, was this in the first or second part of Harry Potter? Because I don't remember this in the first.

  • @TheTaylor165 It was in the part where Ron had already left them and hermione was sitting in the forest where her parents had taken her a few times before and she was telling harry about it.

  • I CRYED WHEN SHE DID IT CAUSE I WOULD DIE IF I HAD TO DO THAT TO MY PARENT D":

  • y does she wipe her parents memories away ? :(

  • @VampFreakB4Twilight so Voldemort couldn't go to her house and try to get information out of them on where they were. And so they could leave London and go to Australia ( I think ).

  • @Mrstwilightsagalover oh ok thanks...its just sad how hermione cried :/

  • @VampFreakB4Twilight it's also because she could die... so erasing her parents' memories would prevent all of the grief :<

  • does dis play wen they r in forest of dean & she talks about her parents?

  • @potterati101 when she wipes her parents memories right at the start of the movie

  • @12alexdavis34 No, I think he's right. The song in the opening is the one called "Obliviate".

  • @12alexdavis34 i think obliviate is the soundtrack dat plays @ dat tym...isn't it?

  • @potterati101 u shld lern 2 typ ful wrds.

  • @TheSuperHeros2 oh sorry if u couldn't get what i wrote........by the way u have used even more short forms in ur comment

  • @potterati101 I was clearly copying your swag. I type in full words on a regualr basis to make me seem smarter. Just wanted to share the love.

  • @12alexdavis34 Yeah this happeneds when they are in the forest.

  • the title is quite misleading.

  • i don't remember this song in the movie. :S

  • @colino9mam this part was at the beggining when hermonie was erasing her pictures & things from her parents.. i never understood that part..it was very sad though. but it was the WAY beginging in the movie..

  • @colino9mam ohh never mind i missled you haha sorry that part was oblivate.:DD silly old me..

  • @thomas4457 it's ok :P

But in which scene is this song ?

    i can't remember :S:S

  • harry potter and the deathly hallows part one movie is awesome a classic the best of the best and so is this soundtrack

  • Touching low woodwind melodies and soft string harmonies= Hermione. Gorgeous.

  • The Deatlhy Hallows part 1 was a masterpiece.

I have only just heard this soundtrack now, and I can picture all of the scenes and feel all of the emotions that each song brings forth. Especially the thoughts and emotions behind this one in particular. Very inspiring.

I can honestly say that Harry Potter truly made me a better person.

July 15 2011 will be one of the happiest and saddest days of my life. HP will life on forever!!!

  • The song really brings out the true sacrifice Hermione makes to help Harry..and save the world(:

  • makes me want to see the film again! this film was so amazing, and with a stunning soundtrack:)

and I really wish to see part 2, while a part of me doesn't want to, since it will be the last harry potter film ever=( that's such a sad idea...

  • @lemonsorbet06 So far I see, you've comment on some of the vids of the soundtracks.

And what you say is true, I still want to meet the three actors a day.

Its hard that this is gonna be the last we will see, maybe thats why maybe the world will end in 2012 lol

The world can't go on without HP!

  • @GoldDiaruga I know, it's gonna be so hard!:( and thanks for pointing that out, now I know why the world will end in 2012;)

it's just so sad there will never be a new hp film after Deathly Hallows part 2!

  • @lemonsorbet06 Indeed. What we do without it? :/

  • @GoldDiaruga I've been asking myself the same question..=S we're gonna miss it sooo much!!

  • i havn't seen the movie yet, and i don't know what happens when this song is playing, but something tells me it's not good.

  • There's something in this song... It shows the hardships of life, and how Harry and Hermione's relationship grows while Ron's gone. Not romantic, but as family.

  • This again makes me wonder how people DARE to even THINK about comparing Harry Pottr to Twilight -,-

no offense, i like Twilight. But i mean.. its HARRY POTTER.

  • I think that was one of the saddest scenes.. To me, she was basically telling Harry she wanted to die or something. It was so heart wrenching.

  • love this song cried every time i heard it must have been a sad desion for hermione

  • @JeffreyDX619 "O Children' by Nick Cave = )

  • Harry and hermiones sad dance scene song name is "O Children' by Nick Cave

  • Comment removed

  • When in the film was this song?

  • @AlexBump4433 The first part of the track is when Hermione is telling Harry about when she came to the forest of Dean with her parents, how they won't recognize anything about it anymore, not even her. The rest of the track is the following scene with the silver doe and the sword of Gryffondor.

  • @RubberSoulRevolver91 Okay thanks a ton

  • @verypen a lot of people said that they moved to australia but on the otherhand they did reunite yes :)

  • this music producer is the same person who did Twilight's soundtrack- The Meadow

  • @cr8zychldr3n no, alexandre desplat did new moon's score, not twilight.

the meadow was done by Carter Burwell ;)

  • Does anyone know if her and her parents were ever re-united?

  • @verypen yes they were :)

  • @verypen J,K,Rowling said that at the end, Hermione went to Australia and gave her parents their memories back. :)

  • @satlovessrk Are you sure?

  • @AlexBump4433 I am 100% sure. I wouldn't have wrote if I didn't know it. :)

  • facinating...

  • i cried at this part to XD i was like WHY IS SHE DOING THIS!! NOOOO UR NOT GUNA DIE! NOOOO DONT!!!!!!!

  • when hermione was struggling to cast obliviate on the death eater passed out on the floor because of what she did to her parents, it was very emotional and powerful performance for Emma Watson...

  • @benToddTv i dont know anything about that.....

  • This is beautiful

  • I wonder if the pictures displayed at the beginning were actually Emma Watson when she was younger

  • @artemaus10 yes they were .. i remeber i read somewhwre that the directors asked her father to give some pictures when she was younger

  • @artemaus10 They seem to be, it looks just how she did... Then the parents were probably Photoshopped in

  • i'm the singer at the end! i must say it does sound pretty cool when it all comes together! the voices half way through is the oratory junior choir and the schola of the cardinal vaughn....if u want to hear the oratory choir just come along on sunday morning to the brompton oratory at 10:00!

  • @gabykitto The probably were just photoshoped to put the actors who played hermiones perants in it

  • lol, i actually almost cried, at the part where she had to perform the oblivate charm on a death eater. I didnt cry though, if I did I would have done a manly cry...

  • can someone tell me why did she obliviate her parents? :O

  • @AoiKageNoChikara In order to protect them from Death Eaters who would go after them since she's with Harry and she's a muggle-born.

  • @vtn05001 Ok I kinda knew that, but how come? how obliviating them would protect them? Sorry If I ask to many questions XD I'm lost here I haven't read the books yet. (yeah, sad excuse for a potter Fan xD)

  • @AoiKageNoChikara by obliviating them, it eliminates any proof that her parents are related to or even know her. In the book, she doesn't use obliviate but a false memory charm on her parents. You should go read the book cause the movie is def. for those who have read the entire series.

  • @vtn05001 i swear she does say obliviate :/ xxx

  • :'( it really is unthinkable what hermione goes through

  • this was in the icy forest

  • What part of the movie is this music from? I know that she obliviated her parents at the beginning, but the track they used for that is "Obliviate". I don't recall any other scene regarding her parents in the movie.

  • @EDGJZConglomerate i was wondering this too....so confused

  • @EDGJZConglomerate I believe it's the part in the Forest of Dean when Hermione is talking about her parents.

  • I started tearing up during this scene between her and what she had to do to save her parents. So sad, but a brave thing for her to do too.

  • i like to call the begining of this song from 0:00 to 1:20 as hermione's theme its so sweet and sad poor hermione

  • does anyone know what the song was that harry and hemione were dancing to in the tent?

  • @carlysutubechannel O Children by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

  • I love the flute part in this track. <3

    So beautiful and emotional.

  • Its really sad and nice!

  • I swear this movie had a lot of emotion in it, its a good thing most of the time they made you laugh.

  • So simple and balanced. Practically tells how brutal Hermione's choice is and how she feels about having to carry out what she did to save her parents. Beautiful and heroic. I'm about to cry. I better stop writing so emotionally. LOL.

  • @Anya365 poetry my dear friend..

  • @ALICEandra624 Indeed poetry. One of the best kids has no words you know. Now that's beauty. Beauty that cannot be seen but felt and heard.

  • @Anya365 beauty indeed..

  • @Anya365 That was amazing commnet.

  • @Anya365 Beautifully put. Its excruciating what she has to do. Now I'm about to cry.

  • @Anya365 i feel the same!! i dont think id be able to have ever done that!!

  • I love this song! It's sweet and makes me want to cry. And I haven't even seen the film yet!!!

  • @ALICEandra624 Seeing the film should be your FIRST priority! It's the best film of the millennium(well that's until part 2 thought!)

  • @ALICEandra624

the film is AWEWSOME its all i can say :D
