Strange to see an A4 so deep in GWR territory Ry, but some superb driving to get such sure footage performance...and of course all of it so expertly captured by your good self....Bob
@robmasterman ...In a sense it is strange an A4 in Great Western territory, but I'd been waiting 7 years to see an A4 attack the Devon banks, I really wish I coulda got more of this but it aint easy when you got two things going on at the same time.
Excellant clip, great job with the capture! She looked so majestic leaving Plymouth, and the whistle had a haunting echo to it - magnificent. Also the lineside shots looked brilliant. Thanks for posting.
That's a cracking shot at Tigley. A well handled departure from plymouth as well. I don't think i've ever seen a loco get away from there without a slip, but he managed it as well as any I've ever seen.
@AndreiTupolev you know how difficult it was to the Tigley shot was whilst standing behind a sharp barbed wire fence? very tricky. Bittern managed to leave Plymouth easily.
Wonderful footage - I like the real great sceene of the departure out of Plymouth. You always take the sound very well, but here it ist the extra cream on a good coffee.
@collieultimo cheers my man. the sound was quite tricky at Plymouth as it was very windy that day and had to strap the mic to a fence so it wouldnt blow off.
@themarcrpearson yeah thats cause a couple miles Up line is the 4 track section at Totnes, its flashing as theres a service train approaching ready to go onto the outer tracks to stop at Totnes
Nice shots there :)
