  • Damn speakers, beginning scared the fuck outta me

  • Soo he kills girl because she rejected him...Now he's in purgatory and she won't let him leave

  • Danzig never disappoints me.

  • Alright. "Release the black dogs on our breasts." Anybody get what that means? I understand everything else

  • danzig is the greatest singer of all time! mann this shit is sick

  • Great song!

  • 77'FITS JUST LIKE DANZIG

Light- In the doorway- Shining so bright- In the doorway- I clench your hips- For the flesh- You tore my prose- In the doorway- Animal lie- Like the doorway- As you hide- Hear it then- Will you let me in- Let me in- Oh- In the doorway- We were so young- In the doorway- Release the black dogs- On our breasts- We'll never rest- We'll never rest- We'll never forget- I ain't never gonna let you rest- Oh, oh, oh, oh- Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

  • I'm really fucking pissed this song wasn't included in my box set!

    FUCK!

  • The one dislike is the saddest thing I've ever seen. How anyone could not like this song is beyond my comprehension.

  • @EvilOstrich get a life

  • Is there another singer in rock and roll that has that kind of vibrato like a pre rock crooner?

  • Jim Morrison was a laughable overated drunk, I definitely hear the similarities, but remaking a Doors song just gives them way too much credit. You ever listen to "the end" sober? What a stupid rambling mess. "wow man, listen to that awesome organ solo!" Danzig is too good to cover 60's excessive, drug induced, phsycedelic garbage like the Doors. Misfits didnt need drugs, they barely knew how to play their instruments, and they still blow the doors out of the sky. Fuck the lizard king

  • @cockicidal4 thats one of the best comments ive ever read.

  • Comment removed

  • @cockicidal4 ummm why are the misfits and the doors being compared in the same sentence?? thats fucking lame...both were equally great frontmen and morrison was an amazing poet as glenn was a frightening frontman with an amazing aura of darkness about him as he still is...dont dog on good music just shut the fuck up and listen...your opinon doesnt count anyways loser

  • Great voice and melody... this vintage era song was lost till its release in '97, on the remastered STATIC AGE disc.

  • At 1:26 my life started sucking again

  • Jose Alvarez La Habra

  • Danzig made the misfits so if your dogging him you need to relax and go and haze yourself

  • danzig should cover a doors song because hes the exact voice of james douglas morrison dont ya think

  • Danzig's songs are better.

    Graves sold them out:(

  • @RippingFadedSmiles He sold out and made them shit.

  • @Solidleoncheif

    you are shit

  • @s70glt100 I got Jerry Only and Graves mixed up, sorry man. Graves was good. Jerry only Can suck my cock.

  • by far the greatist misfits song of all time

  • @rancidmike8 are you high?

  • guud song

  • Agreed. This is one of the most underrated song by the Misfits. My personal favorite.

  • @pissdrunkizzy are you drunk?

  • Its funny how this band was able to contribute to both the birth and death of punk, good song.

  • punk died?

  • @IFiendWeed Dead as my granpas cock.

  • Its weird, i dont recall hearing this on static age from the box set, i assume it was one of the untitled tracks when the album was released by itself

  • @orgasmtron1 Probly why its longer than your average misfits tune

  • @pandemicmonster isnt this the shortest song on Static Age?

  • @orgasmtron1 There's three songs that weren't released in the box set version of Static Age and "In The Doorway" was one of them.

  • @orgasmtron1 naw danzig only wanted his songs on the box set. this song was written by jerry only.

  • his voice is very haunting here. awesome. simply awesome!

  • definitely one of the most underrated misfits songs.. That melody is fuckin great.

  • @NASTY138 I love this fucking melody.

  • this song is my fav.from the static age album

  • i've been fuckin' w/ the misfits for 20 yrs & never heard this song till now.....shit is dope, gotta love 'em!

  • yeah its sick but its not on static age, I have the coffin boxset and its not even on there.

  • i have done it, after dead kings rise, i will have heard every misfits, samhain, danzig, gorgeous frankenstein, kryst the conqeror, dr. chuds x-ward, and grave song ever!!!!!!! fang you for posting this my good freind

    stay cool ghoul...

  • its a good song :) i like evrey single misfits song i am gonna see them when they come to monterrey mex. XD THIS SONG FUCKING KIckS ASS!!!!

  • I would bet to anyone that Danzig's biggest influence was Jim Morrison: The Doors and B movies.

  • he did say in an interview that he was strongly influenced my morrison but idk where your getting b movies from

  • A lot of their songs are based on B movies: Vampira, Return of the Fly, Earth 2150 AD for the album earth AD and they used to play old b movies at there shoes while setting up.

  • @njlacrosse9 really? you dont see how they were influenced by 'B' horror movies? you've gotta be joking.

  • @njlacrosse9 you don't know what you are talking about. look at the fonts on any misfits or danzig posters.....look familiar? maybe like old b horror posters? hmmm.....

  • really? its called sarcasm. Ive probably seen as many old horrors as Danzig himself

  • awesome song :D

  • glenn is god!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome song!

    glenn has a great voice!

  • Hell yeah XD

  • yeah, this is a great way to end the static age album. i love this song. thanks for posting.

  • I love this song, it's one of their best. When i first listened to it on Static Age, i put the stereo on repeat.

  • This song is so damn addicting, I can't stop listenig to it!

  • its about purgatory...and she haunting the man that killed her...

  • thats pretty fucked up but i could care less cuz this song is pro

  • Yeah but it is Glenn Danzig's writing so it's bound to be fucked up.

  • very true

  • @nokturnal5647 dude how dare you say his writing is fucked up. what have you done with your lyircs

  • @luenskie You clearly don't know what I meant by that. "Fucked up" as in, oh, I don't know, talking about killing babies and collecting skulls. I'm not saying his writing is bad.

  • I find myself thinking that a lot with Misfits songs, lol.

  • I'm thinking this song is about one of these three things:

    1) He murdered a girl in a doorway a long time ago and is trying to forget it but can't.

    2) He murdered a girl in a doorway for tearing up his love poem and rejecting him.

    3) He's with someone in a sort of purgatory after death.

I got that last one from the fact that he's seeing light in the doorway and asking to "let him in" and then saying "we'll never rest" but I don't know.

  • he murdered a bitch in her own home for tearing up his prose and rejecting him, she sees his figure in the doorway
