Very good! I don't mind if you pick in this one because that's what Duff McKagen did for this song...he used a pick. So pick or not, it was great! Only thing is, is that your picking style is atrocious..it looks like your hitting the strings to hard...when you play, you gotta play relaxed, if your tensed, then you it will come out in your guitar playing. So yea..don't hit the strings to hard..otherwise, WELL DONE! :)

Thats one of the most easy songs I've ever played. Its just to get the fingerwork working and then youre rocking. Really easy tones.

You know it's a half sted tuned down on the bass, right?

A tip would be to change the tones on the amp, thats really bad.

Otherwise it's good.

@THEACDCROCKER Indeed easy. If one don't know the basic improvisation over chords when playing bass (which i didn't when i recorded this) it can get pretty "hard" and mess up the feeling when playing straight from tabs.

Ugh, again with the pick vs fingers fight. Just give it a break! John Paul Jones, Duff McKegan, Jason Newstead, David Ellefson, Lemmy Kilmister, Rex Brown, Gene Simmons, Michael Anthony, and Nikki Sixx all use a pick, and their all great bass players. And yes, I know I'm gonna get replies saying that Gene isn't a good bassist, but listen to some of the stuff from Destroyer, then talk to me.

I bought it in a music store in Sweden. A guy ordered it in 2005 but then he found a white '76 T-bird so he didnt want it when it arrived. The bass stayed in the store untill i bought it in march 2008 (only played for 1,5 years when i bought it x) ). At that point, a sunburst new one would cost approx 2550 dollars. But i got this one for 2200 dollars cause it was white and had been in the store for so long. Now the price is down at 1985 dollars, but no whites.

In terms of everyone arguing over the pick/fingers thing I'm going to say it really depends on the sound you want. I personally play with my fingers for the majority of songs but for some I know the sound from a pick is better. Duff played with a pick and it clearly is needed in this song. So people stop hating on him for using a pick.

Duff played with a pick and his tone is key to that song. Nikki Sixx plays with pick. Paul McCartney, chris squire, Bill wyman and john paul jones in the studio. Play with a pick if you like it. It will save your tendons & it's more accurate in terms of time and attack as well as variety of tone. It produces more harmonics and is better for muting and dynamics. I was anti pick for 10yrs. i grew up.

That bass has a lot of sustain. It´s a great instrument and sounds phenomenal, and neck diving isn´t  such a big issue (Get a wider and rougher strap).

But you need a bigger amp and effects, like a compressor, more high end, etc.

Agree. at first when i saw it in the store i just thought "What the hell? Mix between white and yellow? yuck" and i told them at the store i wanted a sunburst instead and they said that a sunburst will cost like (in dollars) 320 dollars more. So i went with the white and now ive camed to like it ALOT. and pretty much evry1 else seems to like white better too :P
