  • Very nice. Sensual.

  • 3 people don't have a heart...

  • 最高です。映画も大好きです。この映画は私の好きな映画ベスト3に入ります。

  • I love this movie. Everything about it, I think. Made me fall in love with Nastassja Kinski among other things. Hard to believe Coppola lost a fortune and his company (as I understand it) because no one liked this.

  • yes, the song "take me home" is one of my companions.

  • I`m amazed that not more people listened to this song.... It`s brilliant!!!

  • SOundtrack from the 1982 movie One From the heart.

  • I listened to this one night absolutely ripped on LSD and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life--certainly unique.

  • among best duets ever!

  • there's a beautiful track on this album titled "presents" and it is "take me home" but it sounds like a music box. it's absolutely beautiful. i have been bothering custom music box companies to have it made into one and hopefully tom waits wouldn't sue me for having it lol!

  • his voice is so sweet in this and crystal gale sounds beautiful <3333 much love tom waits.

  • I have to say that Tom Waits and Crystal Gayle should have continued working together on albums in the future, however

Tom married Kathleen Brennen who'm is his equal when it comes to song writing.

Mr Waits (in my mind) is A better song writer than Bob Dylan and I love Dylan.

  • @Shelletee1, Tom Waits is a great song writer and this is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard.

A piece of art from start to finish and I thank Coppola for getting these 2 for his movie. I don't think anyone could have done a better job and it makes the surrealistic movie such a piece of art.

Dylan, Hank Williams Senior, Lennon, McCartney are on a different stratosphere in writing music as is Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Astor Piazzolla and others who are not as well known.

  • This album is great, and with so much feeling. I love how all of his work covers such a broad range of musical styles and atmospheres, and this album is just one example of that.

I uploaded two tracks of Tom Waits & Crystal Gayle too, they are bonus tracks I just recently discovered. It seems that many people don't know about them yet, which is a shame cause they're very good as well.

  • Really amazing !

  • I got it about a month back.. When Terri gets in the shower, I have to leave the room. Close Encounters and Miracle were never the same, or as quick after this.. Apart from that.. My good god, such a fking soundtrack...

  • This song is an absolute tear jerker. "pour myself a double sympathy" Jack Sheldon's trumpet soars and dies with sadness. Buy it now and own these tunes forever.

  • It has absofukinlutely no claim when "Take Me Home " plays.. Now that is the saddest song ever sung..

  • Yes, it's a beautiful album and this song is just amazing. One of the best soundtracks of all time. Huge respect to Tom Waits and Crystal Gayle. Peace.

  • The best album ever made! I play it every day in my car!

  • Crystal Gayle missed her calling. She is magnificent. Her soulsy blues jazz vocals compliment and/or enhance Tom Waits in this B rated\ movie. Viva Crystal Gayle.

    Adrianna Gonzalez

  • i believe that you meant to say loretta lynn.

  • No......the singer is CRYSTAL GAYLE!

  • thank you, for seeing it my way...

  • Did you know that Crystal is Dolly Parton's sister?

  • No, Crystal Gayle is Loretta Lynn's sister!

  • thank you for seeing it my way...

  • Perfect. ^^

  • The trumpet player is Jack Sheldon, , West-Coast jazz musician, part-time actor, who's now in his mid-70's. He also played trumpet on some of the cuts in Tom Waits jazzy "Foreign Affairs" album. It's interesting to hear Crystal Gayle sing on this album. On the duets with Waits she sings in quite a different style: jazzy/bluesy, and she nailed it. On her solos, she sings like she usually does, in that C&W style of hers. By the way, Happy Birthday Tom Waits on the 7th of December!

  • please tell me who is playing the trumpet?

  • i have this on l.p. and c.d. stunning soundtrack

  • You may have this, but in case...Coppola re-issued the soundtrack with two missing tunes, and the standout is Empty Pockets, done in a suite at the very end. It's so unbelievable that it easily was the best thing issued that year, many years after the movie and original soundtrack came out. Look for the version with the black trim and street scene on the cover. Completely worth it. Such a classic album. And I never heard Crystal Gayle do a better job.

  • this is the business

  • simply amazing.
