I'm not gonna lie I've never heard of this before Mad Men but thats what makes tv and movies so good sometimes it can expose you to music you've never heard before.
I know Mad Men is amazing but it's kinda shame that it's the reason why hundreds of people started to listen this track.. This song is pretty awesome and I'm a big fan of it since 1996..

I remember this song from long ago! Then I started to watch Mad Men and this song played at the end of the second episode and I couldn't believe I knew it. It came out of nowhere.
Look, I get that this was used in Madmen. But can't we actually discuss the song itself? It's a beautiful and moving song - one of the Cardigans' best.
This song was so perfect in the episode. Not just its sentiment but its tone. The dreamy notes for the domestic ideal, then when the song starts to sound more sinister it reminds you how asymmetric and disenpowering that life is.
the cardi's are one of the most melodic and beautiful bands to have ever lived! 'first band..' is a nice album.. but 'long gone before daylight' changed my life!
@wiltedpolyp I agree with you that The Cardigans is a really great band which I think should be much bigger. Long Gone Before Daylight is indeed their best album, very interesting to read your last sentence, "changed your life"... I think I might understand how that album can inspire ones mind that much! =) Enjoy. This is great Music!
