  • "I have an acquaintance..."

  • Marlon Brando is sooo sexy! <3

    Greatest actor!

  • With the exception of the last 20 seconds or so this whole thing was one take. Great stuff.

  • @alijaa38 they did the show long enough, they had it all down to a science. :D

  • @MrMashpotatolover indeed they did.

  • That fox fur is scary and creepy. Especially when she holds it up to her face...

I can't believe he snooped through her stuff though. How rude!

  • what is your sister , a deep sea diver?

  • movies and TV have been garbage since the 80's

  • Brando at his best years!

  • wow! that fucker changed the fucking lines! but it was still funny, lol.

  • napoleonic code. i love it!

  • Where can I get this complete movie?

  • i love how he mumbles his speech and i have to say this is my favourite scene of the film, 'i have and acquaintance...' i'm studying this for my a -levels which of course gives me the excuse of watching this over and over again.

  • "What are these, fine feathers and furs....that's a solid gold dress I believe" hahahaha

  • oh mr.brando...you were one in a million. i think i can speak for all women that he was "the sex"

  • the film is acting 101 at it's best!

  • This is one of my favorite movies ever! I think this is "one" of Marlon Brando's best performances ever. The "Napoleanic Code".....classic!

  • If I found Marlon Brando going through my underwear drawer, I'd say "See anything you like?"

  • Watta Machine !!

  • Will you look at these five feathers and furs. What is that, treasure chest of a pirate? Look here, ropes of them! What is this sister of yours? A deep sea diver? LOL

  • he is soo beautiful <3

  • yes he WAS hot but then he had to go and get ugly :(

    why marlon why?!!!!!

  • @lookaesapansa It's called getting "old". Nobody can stay 27 forever.

  • a fun scene...

  • nice bod Marlon...and to think I remember this guy as the old dude in Godfather...

  • @HolyFerdinand how about Jor-El in Superman?

  • I thought it was interesting at 2:45 about, when Stela informs him that the tiara is actually Rhinestone and he asks "What is rhinestone" in a genuinely curious tone. I suspect that that was actually breaking through his facade in a way - he does not really have those acquaintances he declares he has and proves it by being genuinely curious when informed of something he hasn't heard of before.

  • Truly amazing acting skills,he really draws you in the his character he was a really good actor Brando.

  • "What is that, a treasure chest of a pirate?"

    Hahahahaha I love this man.

  • "half a mile long" LOL

  • Vivien Leigh=perfection

  • The more I watch Stanley in this film the more I see my father in him. He had the same body language, attitude. I never knew in what kind of a mood he will be when he would walk through the door. And ironically he an my aunt (mothers sister) couldnt stand each other never.

  • the video that I posted in reply is the same scene as this. I did not do the job nearly as well as Brando but check it out I heard it's pretty good. Thanks!

  • You can't tame the arrogance of youth as Brando so beautifully portrays.

  • Comment removed

  • Marlon Brando is soooo hot.

  • i love this movie

  • Brando is amazing in this role, blags it with his guns though. No one can deny that either.

    fair play i guess...

  • hey man can you upload the whole movie if its not much trouble

  • I remember reading this play at school. Stanley's lines are really difficult because he uses all sorts of abbreviations and garbled sentences. Marlon Brando does an excellent job with it.

  • How many takes for him to strike that match on his shoe? Haha

  • he actually did it his first try

  • Ugh, he's SUCH a twat sometimes.

  • This is not right - Marlon was the wrong actor for this role; I am NOT supposed to be attracted to that scumbag Stanley Kowalski!! ;)

  • So true!!!!!!!!

  • wow what the fuck? u are supposed to be attracted to him. did you read the playwright?

marlon is hailed as the perfect actor for this role

  • Yeah, I've read the play several times. Stella's meant to be attracted to him. Other women (maybe) are meant to be attracted to him.

But I'M not meant to be - I usually hate characters like Stanley, no matter how handsome they are. :)

  • Well not exactly. The protagonist was supposed to be Blanche, it was supposed to be her tragedy, not Stanley's. But it is impossible for a viewer not to sympathize with a character Brando plays.

  • This is just the ambiguity of genius movies or other pieces of art. This is why Marlon was the best actor for this role! You are not supposed to be attracted to such a scumbag but you are! You are not supposed to love Don Corleone but you really do!...

  • I understand your point - I too think MB was perfect for the role. When I said he wasn't, it was tongue-in-cheek and half-joking (although I was seriously horrified that I was attracted to Stanley Kowalski).

  • @ChocolateIsMyDrug Then ur a Stella :)

  • Actually, you are. That's how Stella felt anyway.

  • But I'm not Stella :)

  • lol

  • I feel as if I have a love/hate relationship with Marlon Brando.

I think he was a great actor, especially in the beggining of his career, but he seems like he was also kind of an asshole in real life. :/

    Which is unfortunate.

  • I think he only became that way when he got older, about the time he made the Godfather. He didn't bother to memorize lines and just winged it. But it still came out fantastically.

  • Have mercy, Marlon Brando was fine as hell!!

  • So natural. He owned that screen. I love it when he makes the effort to nab one of the feathers drifting in the air near the end of the scene. A loose and free acting talent; unparallel in my opinion. Thank you, Bud.

  • Marlon, you are wonderful! Really an amazing actor! The best, in my opinion

  • so true, Marlon was a great actor and was smokin' hot. i can't stand it when folks get all squishy over Brad Pitt; a sucky actor whose nostrils flare too much. :-p

  • LOL!! You're so funny and I totally agree!!

  • God..I love Marlon Brando!!!

  • Man this guy is an amazing actor.

  • 1.13 - 1.19 is the most adorable line/preformance i have ever seen in my entire lifetime

he is the picture of sex

  • Is that gonna to be the deal sister Blanche cant be annoyed with details right now? I love the was he says "details". Have a listen.....it's so cute.

  • "We'll wait 'til she's through soakin' in a hot tub and then I'm gonna inquire if she is acquainted with the Napoleonic code."

    I love that part! :D

  • Whats that mean, Naponeonic code?

  • Stanley starts explaining the Napoleonic code at 0:50. "...what belongs to the wife belongs to the husband also and vice versa."

  • Looks to me like youve been swindled baby and when you get swindled on the Napoleonic code I get swindled too and I dont like to get swindled. One of my fave scenes too. Stanley is so hot going on and on about the Napoleonic code while chomping on a drumstick!!

  • "Uhh since when are you giving me orders?"

The way he says this is bloody adorable.

  • Whatever you think about Stanley, Marlon has sex appeal and thats why he is good as Stanley, Can anyone think of any actor that has this appeal now.

  • joeles123 you're absolutely right. No actor lives up to Marlon's sensuality.

  • if i had a man that looked like that, idk. id never wanna leave my bedroom for one thing.

  • haha....you're talking my language!

  • What is this article? That's a solid gold dress I believe. lol

  • Who's better looking; Brando then or Gerard Butler?

  • Brando, of course.

  • Marlon Brando, obviously

  • Do you think Butler is better looking than James Dean?

  • Most people would disagree with you on that.

  • I'm doing this scene for a competition on Saturday. So stressed D:

  • Elia Kazan said that Marlon Brando was one hot sex machine throughout the making of this film. Men and women were throwing themselves at his feet and he never refused them.

  • Stanley is such a pig and an ignorant one at that. he's ALWAYS eating lol. just watch other clips. sure he's good looking, but looks only count as so much.

  • haha, so true. i played stanley in a class reproduction of this play, and i was stuffing my face and mumbling constantly. :D

  • Marlon brando was not gay...although he did question is sexuality

  • i'm not gay you crazy ass bitch hoe. i just saying i would suck this dude's penis cuz he's a sexy motherfucker.

  • Marlon Brando is luscious indeed, and you are gay.

  • u fuckin liar bitch! i'm striaght but i suck brando dick if i get the chance!

  • This piece is so funny. When Stanley keeps going on about the napoleonic code and you can tell he hasn't a clue what he's on about!

(when he gets out the ropes of pearls) "What is your sister? A deep sea diver?" LOL

  • Stanley's the perfect example of how you can be cunning, and yet completely ignorant.

  • Classic testosterone fueled animal beast man.

  • God; Brando had a body like a rock back then.

  • it's adorable how he goes on about the code. the first time i saw this film, it was in school and i found the part where he's going through her suitcase so hilarious. i was laughing with every piece of clothing and jewelry he picked up. he's childish, like a little kid, but it's so cute.

  • question do women really want a guy like stanley?

  • Personality wise? No!

    Looks? YES! :D

  • Haha, what a female response :P

    Answer:

    Looks, no idea.

    Personality: Yes. Absolutely.

  • yes, they do. looks, personality, demeanor.. maybe a bit of a better speaker, but all-in-all - YES.

  • umm YESS,

like a rough , animal type

with a killer body and a rugged face.

id feel so special if i were with marlon

  • yes. we'd do it for the sex. he is sex.

Stella, why are you arguing with sex?

  • Huuhhh. No :)

He had homosexual experiences but he really wasn't JUST gay ;)

  • Domeeeeeee la nostra scena!!!!

  • I love how he goes on and on with the Napoleonic Code :D

  • beatlequeen06:

    "embarrasment-to-whites?"

Hmm...Interesting choice of words, with ugly implications.

  • why doesn't someone post this entire film

  • I never understood why Stanley rapes Blanche at the end? Was he sexually drawn to her - did he want to destroy her?

  • Both,and then some.

  • As an actor,he was a genuis, and even when he is dull,he is still much better than most actors at the top of their form. But he has preserved the mentality of an adolescent...

  • Brando was such a SEXY guy!!!! Great movie and scene!

  • *spits out soda* Are you kidding?! Surely you can't serious!! If you are, I pity you for your taste in men!! Brando was a GOD!!

  • Oh my gracious! Your taste in men is horrid!

  • Do you think Tommy Lee & Perez Hilton looks better than James Dean (while he was alive)?

  • Ha! No! James Dean was really good looking! Tommy Lee and Perez Hilton are pigs!

  • Did you have acid spilled on your eyes by any chance? Eminem is FUGLY!! Gawd, how can you even mention legendary Paul Newman and embarrasment-to-whites Eminem in the same sentence?

  • Wow, my sides hurt from laughing so hard!! You're ridiculous. Just do me a favor and get your eyes checked.

  • I'll admit that Farley and Spade are a great duo, but they're funny. Newman and Redford are handsome.

  • Farley & Spade are better looking though. Newman is no match on Farley's looks... and physique.

  • It's not Paul Newman, it's Marlon Brando :)

  • Perez Hilton?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, oh my god... Perez Hilton... Wow, better looking than James Dean? Pff, they're not from the same planet darn it! :p

  • Klewdside:

I think Steve-o is pretty awesome, but he is ugly as hell. I hope to god you don't mean he is more attractive than Marlon Brando.

  • Do you think young Paul Newman and James Dean are better looking than Steve-O?

  • YES, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, YES!!!!!

  • Worst bullshit I've ever heard. Steve-O, hahahahaha, you make my eyes tear of joy, hope you weren't serious! xD

  • man, i'm not gay, but god damn...i want to be him....0o

although i don't agree to his mannerism towards women, a little to over blown and rude...

    but what a performance....=O

  • Marlon Brando is the best ever, I LOVE HIM RIP Brando...

  • Marlon Brando is the TRUTH

  • It's the little things that make him a great actor. Even grabbing a piece of floating fur(3:08) makes it seem so real. So Amazing!

  • such a sweet scene.

"Look at all these fine feathers and furs...what is Blanche, a deep sea diver?"

  • "well i have a friend that works at a jewlery store and he's coming in here and making an appraisel of that stuff.." lol omg stanley's so dumb

  • dang... he was more buffed than I thought! :O

  • If the point wasn't that Stanley wins, what's the actual pint?

  • I read the play and omg i hate Stanley..hes a horrible person, and if you guys read it you'll come to really feel bad for blanche and sympathy..it was a great play =]but really sad.

  • In the play, did Stanley rape Blanche??

  • Yes, and in the end Stanley and Stella stay together and live happily every after.

  • see thats what pissed me off the dumb ass send her sister to the asylum just to keep her animal husband...and all she did was tell her the truth about the rape.

  • hmmm...i think stanley is meant to be blanche's wake up call. not that i condone the whole rape thing.

  • I don't think that it was a wake up call, at least not for Blance...since it just pushed her over the edge which she had been leaning over for the whole play.

  • I love how he goes on and on with the Napoleonic Code :D

  • Let me say, Marlon is the only man I've ever seen talking with a mouthful of sandwich, ragging on asibling of yours, that can still be smokin' xD -grins evilly-

  • He starts sounding like Desi Arnaz about halfway through. Close your eyes and you'd swear it's Ricky Ricardo.

  • Oh wow! He does!!

  • Haha, love it! I expect Lucille Ball to jump out any minute now!

  • Not a lot of men in the 50s had bodies like that.

  • how do you know????

  • PICTURES

  • Because in the fifties bodies didn't matter so much. Well, not to the extent they do today.

  • They are both so good in this scene. Kim Hunter is underrated in this movie; people don't see her next to Brando (Who is amazing, I will say that)

  • LOL i love it

  • Since when has anyone's sexuality made a difference??

This is one of the landmark moments in film history and all people are talking about was if he was bi??? Come on people who cares!!!

This is such an INCREDIBLE performance, we should all be in awe...

  • Quite true !!!

Who cares about Marlon Brando's sexuality.

His talent is unbelievable, incredible, no words to describe it.

He could be whatever he wanted to, we will never have another actor as Marlon Brando, far far far away the best actor of all the times. I am really grateful for him and his movies.

  • Im a girl by the way.....let's not get that twisted

  • bi or not bi, still the sexiest man that ever lived. I'd let him stick that bi dick in me any day of the week (w/ a condom.....of course). Seriously though, if my boy was bi, he would of been a good man in bed and could talk to me about shoes. Damn straight.

  • Marlon Brando slept with as many men as he did women and thats a fact. But it has nothing to do with anyone but him and those concerned.

  • Marlon didn't get an Oscar for this...-shakes head sadly-

Marlon is an effin' GENIUS. He's so genuine... love him. -swoons-

"...Treasure chest of a pirate?" xDDDDDDD

  • Oscar's mean shit

  • Believe it or not, that is Dr. Zira from Planet of the Apes.

  • if he was still alive.....the things i would do 2 him.......i would make all his FANTASIES come alive

  • the things HE'D make YOU do!

  • and i would do them happily and make it the best pleasure he would ever feel if he was still alive and looked like this

  • ahaha too bad he was a huge fag!

  • Why do watch videos about him when you obviously have no appreciation for him?

  • just because timmchap35 points out that Brando was bisexual doesn't mean that he can't appreciate Brando's acting.
