I despise the new youtube design 1 you can't as easily access you favourites. You no longer have a list of your freinds you can't read comments honestly which idiot designed it and the fact they are now forcing you to have it. I think there should be a boycott of youtube until they change it back. Change is meant to improve things.
Google hasn't merely taken a step back with this new design, they've fallen down the entire flight of stairs. Our ability to personalize our channel and therefore truly give it a unique identity has been SIGNIFICANTLY diminished. The new layout is ugly, not as well organized and also greatly limits our interaction with people that subscribe to our channel.
What prompted this disastrous visual and functional change is beyond me.
Can't feature a video, have a few comments on my channel, it's now just streamlined to uploads (it's all about the subs, who cares about the experience). It sucks for non content providers to have a channel and share a bit about themselves.
We the USERS must be aware of two things: 1) YT is for free and 2) YT does only exist because WE upload our videos on this site! So ask yourself how to deal with this ShitTube which will be there on march 7th...

@hortulanus94 I'll get used to it, but I'll never like it. The one completley unforgivable thing is the subscription pile-up. IGN and Gamespot, and other users, upload videos every 10 seconds, thus all the other video's get buried. Its highly impractical, and I am pissed that I may be forced to unsubscribe from users that I like, simply because of this terrible desighn. Don't even get me started on the new channel layouts...

The ONLY reasons they haven't improved this new design yet, or switched back to the old one are: 1. The search part is keeping YouTube alive with new and long-time users. 2. The youth today like almost anything "new". 3. Long-time users are already here, and stuck here because other video sites are not as popular, don't have as many users, so they have nowhere else online big enough to post all these videos. Somebody needs to make an alternative to YouTube if they don't fix this mess!

@hortulanus94 I'll get used to it, but I'll never like it. The one completley unforgivable thing is the subscription pile-up. IGN and Gamespot, and other users, upload videos every 10 seconds, thus all the other video's get buried. Its highly impractical, and I am pissed that I may be forced to unsubscribe from users that I like, simply because of this terrible desighn. Don't even get me started on the new channel layouts...

gone are the ways to personalize your site.. only a color and one backgroundimage, now all channels look the same.. I hate it. Glad I can still use the old one, but I made designs for channels and now .. gone is all the hard work! The ONLY reasons they haven't improved this new design yet, or switched back to the old one are: 1. The search part is keeping YouTube alive with new and long-time users. 2. The youth today like almost anything "new". 3. Long-time users are already here, and stuck here because other video sites are not as popular, don't have as many users, so they have nowhere else online big enough to post all these videos. Somebody needs to make an alternative to YouTube if they don't fix this mess!

I was kind of prepared for this because someone posted a video about the new front page BUT THIS?! This gray is just TERRIBLE! What the heck! I think this is the worst change yet. The classic Yellow Subscribe button is gone. But don't worry we will all get used to it sooner or later.
