when my relatives 100 years ago or soo didnt use dogs sometimes for winter, they would run many miles pushing a sled the size of a shopping cart to check their trap lines, they had tremendous endurance, sometimes they would hunt with self bows and other old weapons etc...
Fucking hunters. It's people like the guy who shot and killed the bear here who has completely terminated the Grizzly of California. And other animals like the Wolf, Jaguar, and others.
@pussylicker24 Poachers maybe, but not hunters. The last thing a hunter wants is for animals he can hunt to become extinct. Hunters are the greatest conservationists.
@hoff1967 Hunters as well as poachers.. There is no debating that(not saying your debating it though).. A lot of hunters kill just for the trophy. That plays a LARGE roll..
This has to be the best film ive ever watched on the life of a pioneer bowhunter. The clearity is awesome for a 1920s film. How great it would be to have lived in that time and be a bowhunter where hunting was a nesessity to servival in the wilderness. Thanks ever so much for posting this,so cool to see Art Young in his prime.
This film is not fake. why should it be? They had cameras at that time and these are expeditors they just gone there to make a film like national geographic does that. You can not see anything fake about it
back in the days when men were men and people had pride and character and the will and want to push on and explore the great outdoors. do get me wrong some of us do still exist be we are few and far between everyone else is to worried about being cool and hip and saving the world one animal at a time but not realizing that hunters are the true conservationists and the ones that truly care about the great outdoors. note i said hunters not huligans that call them selfs hunters. long live hunters.
I could play this on a big screen tv 24/7. As much as I love to watch this, it makes me realize how big a wuss I really am. The camera man has more balls that anyone I know.

What an inspiration. Old ways rekindled in new days. Gotta love Young, Pope, Ishi.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
this could be fake, you can just film like today, then add something called 'film age' and make it look like 82 years ago....
