Actually, that behavior is learned from either parent. Or in fact anyone who is violent and abusive, be it other children, older siblings, relatives etc. My mother was unusually abusive, and my father is an extremely passive man. My short fuse and violent behavior throughout my life was learned from her. So there goes your theory on that.

I'm sorry and where is the problem in this? Actors work somewhere like 14 hours a day in highly mental and physically demanding tasks, struggling for years, if not forever, to makes ends meat. Whereas Politicians have either never worked a day on the breadline themselves or have worked in business (playing with money) or as lawyers (playing with lives and liberty).
Indeed, actors are closer to the 'average' American then the politicians are, and I doubt politicians could hack life as an actor :)

Republican politics is populist politics. The party tries to appeal to the voters of lower intellect and in fact, through their policies, have made a pretty good job at dumming down the nation to a point where they can do as they please, because no one in the country has a clue what's really going on.
Isn't it about time that people like you realise that the current economic crisis is due to Republican policies. Isn't it about time that we went back to community rather than self?

Some how while arguing with this guy you manage to make not one point of your own. If you are going to be the voice of Conservativism at least say SOMETHING. I agree this guy is sort of a smug bastard, right or wrong, but you aren't making much of a point. Harvard and Yale, good schools....so is MIT but almost no Americans get to go to schools of that quality.

Better then what? Harvard? Yale? How about West Valley College? University of Phoenix? ITT Tech? "American" schools are kind of a broad group. U of Dublin has an exceptional MBA program. For that matter P.I.S.A found in 2006 that Irish education ranked in the top 20 of the world for Reading and Science. The US didn't make the top 20 in anything. The US can't be directly credited for much. Even the old stuff...A. Grahm Bell wasn't an American, CERN developed the web....
