thanks for you kind comment. I went out that morning because my friend told me of his tradition, he and his wife go to a spot near near the Golden Gate Bridge each year on New Year's Morning and watch sunrise over the San Francisco Bay. Sounds like great minds still think alike.
And now I learned that we have Austrailian Gum trees

Of course, sunrise any day of the year is wonderful! My yearly tradition is to watch the sun rise over Sydney Harbour from a spot near the Opera House on ANZAC Day. Thank you for putting up this video. Quiet, calm and I didn't miss the cheery "morning!" said. (oh, and I like the close up of the good old Aussie Gum tree!)
