As always, it's REPUBLICANS who are at the center of these "gay" scandals. But that's not surprising given the hideously homophobic and heterosexist platform of the American GOP. The only person in this video who demonstrated any courage whatsoever was the ex-governor of NJ. The others are just weak, pandering closet cases. While I place much of the blame on society for encouraging gays to stay in the closet, I also place responsibility on the shoulders of those who choose to live in silence.

I know an AIDS-organisation in Belgium who questions "homosexuals". They define however "homosexual" as s.-body who had at least 1 time gay sex in the last 2 or 3 months.
For single gays this is ridiculous.

"bisexuals" or "gays married to somebody of the other gender"?
Well some of them are bisexual, which is fine, but many are are "gays married to somebody of the other gender", but if they've gone that far it's hardly surprising that some won't even admit it to themselves. The fact is that you wouldn't have to construct restrictive definitions if people were honest with others and themselves - you could just ask, are you gay/bi? This is not what I intended to be the talking point of the video :(

But it's also important I think to talk about the %'s, and about the fact that the words "gay" "bi" or "married gays to someone of the other gender" aren't the same. There are even other things one could talk about : "homosexuality" and "homophilia", do these words mean the same ?

I had absolutely no intention of making it sound like I was trying to imply that "THERE ARE WAY MORE GAYS OUT THERE!!" - The video is about being honest etc. and I was just using the question to frame the content of the video...and to have a cool intro sequence :P

I do understand what you are saying, and do understand that lots of people lie.
But overall the percentages won't go over 10% for gay males. This would be astonishing.
We can assume that there are more then the %'s I gave , but I don't think it will be an enormouos amount.
In the %'s I gave there were already gaypeople that anonimously told the truth, although they were married with a woman.
But of course that lot's of people lie, I do know.

There are percentages known through anonymous investigations / surveys
The percentage is nearly always higher in cities then in the country.
As far as I know (and I'm in Belgian gaymovement for +20 years) :
it's approximately like this :
3 % lesbians (country), 5% (cities) (so 4% average)
5% gaymales (country), 8% gaymale (city), (so 6,5% average)
