@detamac He probably had back surgery. Dachshunds are prone to back injuries, they can get hurt from jumping off something as short as a foot or two. When mine had her surgery her whole back was shaved but it took a little patch about that size a lot longer to grow back than the rest for some reason.

My sister bought our dachshund a jean set with the shirt and the pants and he seemed fine with it on, did not fuss at all. In fact, he actually started strutting all over the mall because of all the "He's so cute!" exclamations.

@IIFoUnDaTiOnZzII I had to laugh at your post. My little Cece (a mini dox) had the worst breath. We called her "Tuna Breath" most of the time. Her vet said that bad breath and gum disease is fairly common in small dogs and he urged us to learn to brush her teeth and take her in for regular cleanings to prevent gum diseases. She always resisted the cleanings vigorously, so we had to take her in for the cleanings and, eventually, extractions due to old age. Give her denta bones and crunchy food

Oh for or crying out loud, the dog was not being injured it was being petted ,If you knew anything about dachshunds; you would know that they can be VERY VERY territorial, and that it was, in fact; being possessive of his suit,( which is so sweet IMO), my doxie wears sweaters in the winter and if any of the other 2 dogs come near her clothes or toys she goes for the throat!
