  • Thanks very much but u also need a heater if u want ur hermit crabs to live. Just thought u might want to know :)

  • i am going to get some hermit crabs soon but it is still too much money do have any other ways i can save.

also u can biol water intead of using dechlorinaters

  • @jen1shannon1 you could use bottled water :] and there's usually bottled salt water at petco. and if you have a pal card you could get a 10 gallon tank for 10.00. if u wanna know how to get a pal card just ask. and i think at walmart there's a sale on 10 gallon tanks for 12 dollars. :) anymore questions i'll happily answer

  • U can use filtered water I have got the water for my hermits water out of the sink and they all are steel living and I have been doing so for 5 months

  • @laughlovemac i would avoid the filtered water because as far as i know, it only removes part of the impurities in water. I would go with water purifier/dechlorinator because that is the safe way to go.

  • can I use my filtered water please please answer

  • Do you sterilize the plastic plants? and do you need to sterilize them? if so how?

  • Majority of cardboard's treated for rats, and strongly advised to steer away from using it within the tank. The ocean/sea water must be one sold specifically for salt water fish. Hermit crabs require a balanced diet, one which no commercial food offers. Majority of hermit crab foods have ethoxyquin and/or copper sulphate within them. One can offer water and if they need/want the sand damp can do it themselves. . Please do visit Crab Street Journal com for proper hermit crab care instructions.

  • Are you supposed to wet your hermit crabs sand with water so it is easier for them to burrow? Please answer!

  • i got my hermit crab from chrismas

  • Nice video! the only thing I have to say is that you should clean shells before putting it with the crabs so that there would not be anything in it that would irritate the crab. Also, you are right about expert village. They know little about hermit crab care.

  • hey btw i found out that that red stuff you have in the back is bad for them idk why but yeah just thought id let you know...

  • it looks like where a hobo would live

  • nice tank but id recomend a lid :)

  • @sarahthunter555 Thanks! I do have a lid, its just that I removed it so that i can take videos inside the tank. Thanks for your concern!

  • is it bad to get a hermit crab with 1 eye

  • @hermiesandgerbs how long has it been without a second eye?

  • he talks weird

  • przegotuj wode i bedzie ok

  • How long did you put the sticks in the microwave for?

  • @xxjono023xx I would put it in there for 20 to 30 seconds on full power.

  • Great ideas. I'm new to hermit crabs so this helps! :) Do you know how long they live and how big they get?

  • or you can buy a coconut, eat the inside and use the outside for 2 hide outs which is 4 dollers or you can BUY 2 for 8 dollers :just a tip

  • dude thats a 30 gallon, mines a 10 gallon and its 20 gallons smaller

  • i subbed for hermit crab vids!

  • i have my hemit crab kreby

  • how long did you put it in the mickerwave

  • I wouldn't use toilet paper rolls, they could get stuck in them

  • ok im sorry i didnt know but ive been using sink water for a year and none of them died

  • @2000deddy it was probably because the water in your area doesn't have as much chlorine in other places, but that doesn't completely remove the chance of their gills swelling up and killing them. If you use de-chlorinated water, it removes that chance completely.

  • Oh, and taking shells from the beach take shells away from the hermit crabs in the wild

  • i would go an all natural diet its cheaper and mu ch more nutrient rich asimple one i use is a grape and freeze dried plankton the freez dried plankton i feed my fish so it didnt really cost me much they need a cuddle bone to for calcium its like 399 for six of them that should last about a year

  • What type of tree are those sticks from? A lot of common woods are dangerous to the crabs if eaten.. and they tend to eat anything they can. The net is more than likely dangerous too, as it will contain chemicals and/or dangerous materials to crabs. I would do some research into that if I were you. Organic hemp is the recommended material for nets.

  • This is very helpful and with a total of $62, thats cool. Can you make a frog care video because i'm getting a frog in a month or two in vegas. Thanks. From, Alex

  • Thanks from alex
