Some fans reckon that Midsomer Murders would be different without John Nettles but it will be much safer when Neil Dudgeon is in the starring role as another Barnaby.

I've just heard the news. It's very sad to hear a great actor as John leaving the show, but i can understand him. Here in Belgium, we're a few seasons behind i think (they always show some other episodes or stop in the middle of a season) But that won't stop me from watching those seasons.

I hope the new main character can make the show still exciting as John did.

It's very sad , because that was a great pleasure to watch the episode every sundays (in France we watch it on sunday evening). II loved watching the magnifiscent countryside of England too. I hope that we could watch Mr Neetles in other movies.

Lord, he's a handsome man. I'm really going to miss him on this series, but I hope he comes back occasionally. Wonder if he knows how much his fans love him? I'm just going to pretend Mr. & Mrs. Barnaby, and Cully, are still out there somewhere, enjoying their lives. Perpaps with H. Poirot and Miss Marple. ;-)

Stupid I am ! My wife and I discovered this serie only last september 2009.

We shall buy the DVDs, of course, but in french, my english is too poor !!!

That could be very hard for the successor of John Nettles, but I wish him The welcome...
