cold or not, this turbo has its best time over. When u reached 200.000km with the first turbo so he had done a very good job. Replace him or change bearing and refit.
Purring like a kitten. Let it idle for 2 mins before driving though ;-) Then after a good hard drive with heavy use of turbo, let it idle for 1 min before switching engine off.
@HeavyMetaldude500 i guess you are 'idiot'. if you want to argue with me you should even read the manual first, internet sources and then you can actually say sth stupid.
@szwaglu is right. In case of non-turbo equipped engines, idle warming is a good idea, but this case it's not: oil won't circulate in the turbo until you don't start driving. Of course you shouldn't go above 2000rpm until the engine is cold, but the driving is important as cold oil is still better than no oil in the turbo at all.
Ofc there are differences with "cold". Personally I like to run my golf for about 2 minutes - the time it takes me to scrub all the ice off the windshield. When it s +X celsius, you just hop in and start driving. If you do that when its -20 celsius, there won't be any oil circulating anywhere.
there is nothing wrong with it it does that warm too give it a bit more throtle when warm you will see
