  • Why does Steven look so confused when his specialist category was announced? Did he forget?

  • @JallenMeodia He was being facetious.

  • stephen frys bits are 11:15 and 15:10 thumbs up so everyone knows lol

  • I like her just cause she chose starwars as her special subject:P

  • The top comment mentions the word 'Schadenfreude' for those unaware of it's meaning it's taking Mischevious Pleasure in the Misfortunes of others.

  • of course the winner is Stephen! i loooove him

  • whenever i saw the one in the pink shirt on tv he was bragging about knowing someone. i cant say i care much for him.

  • Hang on, they got the Star Wars question the wrong way round. The planet was called Bespin and the mining facility was called Cloud City or alternatively the Bespin Mining Facility... FAIL!

  • Star Wars as a special subject? Pff...

  • Stephen Fry has an amazing general knowledge, cant think of a more appropriate person to host Qi

  • you can tell fry didn't prepare at all but his vast intellect was still more than good enough anyway.

  • I just want to watch the Stephen Fry bits!

  • @marionetemanJ you do know then who was born of a virgin, had 12 disciples, was crucified and rose from the dead after 3 days. Yes, it was Horus some 2000 years BC. All of this is a mythical tale explaining the movements of the sun. I have great respect for the teachings of Jesus but learn your history before getting all excited on divinty. After all, all Gods WERE immortal.

  • That 700 bottles of sac goes back to Chaucer. A Poet Lauerette should know that.

  • What happens if wheelchair gal wins the chair?

  • @muiroford1 moron

  • Gyles Brandreth was also in QI with Stephen Fry. That's... quite interesting?

  • Funny how Stephen Fry acts as Mycroft Holmes

  • If Stephen doesn't win this I'll be mad. *Fingers crossed*

  • "Bespin! It's Bespin! BESPIN! BESP- oh, she's passed."

    Thanks for uploading!

  • Figures Fry would kick ass on the general knowledge category.

  • I took one look at the line up and said to myself:

    "Stephen will win"

  • Rofl the Poet Laureate is in that chair like an alcoholic in Rehab Room: 101

  • let's have Tanni on QI !

  • Stephen won, what a surprise!

  • Stephen Fry's specialist subject should have been General Knowledge. Tore their throats out.

  • how many pints does the glass hold?

  • Stephen was good, but he's no Richard Herring...

  • Tanni's smile could light up an auditorium !

  • @Tonymount I could look at her all day.

  • Stephen's position as Britain's favourite intellectual is now undisputed

  • This is an outrage, to have Stephen Fry sit besides mere mortals of lesser intelligence like a common man. For hat thou no shame!

  • Did anyone else climax during Stephens general knowledge round? Anyone?

  • jesus fuck, apart from Tanny Grey, who is possibly one of the finest athelites of all times... this is a seriously hardcore bunch of Geeks. Love all of then and still <3 Tanny.

  • @Cloress1

    Tanny is not an athlete.

  • @Cloress1

She is also clearly incredibly thick.

  • so you're not penalized for guessing, but you are for passing?

  • @winmine0327 Not quite. If you guess wrong, then the host reads out the answer, wasting time you could be getting questions in, and when you pass, he merely reads it out after the round is over.

  • @winmine0327 you're not actually penalised either way. If you guess wrong, you are told the correct answer immediately, if you want to skip through a question you don't know quickly, then you pass. To be told the answer later on.

  • @winmine0327

Ive always thought that, its really odd, that you don't lose that much time for the answer to be read.

I would personally guess, as in the end i there is a tie it comes down to numbers of passes.

  • oh yay thank you ever so much, ive been looking for this for ages!!!

  • When you pick a subject like "Star Wars", you do seem to get easier questions.

I mean I've devoted about 10 hours of my life in total to all things Star Wars related (by that I mean I watched the films) and I knew about 3 of the answers and *almost* knew about 5 more.

  • @naryanr

Yes.. mastermind should require slightly more intellectual specialist subjects than some shite geeky teenagers movies.

  • Yakult!

  • bloody hell Motion, blinks alot.

  • Probably best to stick with sport and Star Wars Tanni.

  • This show should be renamed Closeup on the Faces of People Suffering. Or just Schadenfreude 2000

  • "In The Hound Of The Baskervilles by what name did Jack Stapleton (sp?), head of a school in Yorkshire, establish a name in entomology?"

    "Oh, bugger... I mean pass"

Oh, hahaha, I see what you did there. That is incredibly fast wit.

  • I'd like to think I could answer questions on Aurther Conan Doyle but i'd pick the lady sitting next to Fry's subject!

  • And coming up from the rear and once again proving to be the most intelligent being ever to walk this earth, Mr Stephen Fry.

  • I just love Stephen's attitude from his fake frightened face in the beginning to his end comments, brilliant man all around :)

  • Why am I not suprised that Fry won?

  • @ecaepevolhturt Spoiler alert! God...
