my dad has an 07 tahoe LS. its strangely optioned. has everythin the LT has but the leather. its black and hes taken all non chevy symbol emblem off and blacked them out to match the truck. its sexy. and we've gone 120 in it before. so its not real slow

@redFboy5 It has a really comfortable ride for an suv. You sit very high in the vehicle so you can see out well. handles great in bad weather. Mirrors tilt down when in reverse for easier parallel parking. I could go on for days.

Go for it, you wont be disappointed.

i know that a range rover is a spectacular off roader, and the hummer is a tahoe in an un aerodynamic body kit, but the tahoe is the cheapest of the lot, and having driven one, love it, it gets a lot more grip on the road then you'd expect

My bro has a 2005 Dodge Ram SLT quad Cab with a 5.7 Hemi and that friggin' only gets 6-8mpg's in the city max, 16-18mpg highway under best circumstances..

Now, I'm no GM expert but don't those big ass SUV's have those Vortec 400hp 6.2L V8's?.. I know the Escalade does.. I can't imagine any of those even getting near 18mpg.

Because it doesn't weight almost 3 tons like these SUV's and it has a manual transmission instead of auto's (coupled with high low end torque) so you can cruise on a higher gear with lower revs wasting less gas?.. Mhmm.

Biggest factor with fuel mileage on any vehicle is the driver, but these damn trucks with big ass engines swallow gas no matter how light your foot is, whereas a sports car uses about twice as much gas at 120mph than at 60mph.. good luck going over 90mph in a giant 3 ton box.

While I find that hard to believe, there could be some circumstances which it would be possible.

I myself have done about 80mph on I-75 through Alligator Alley in my bro's Dodge Ram, but the wind was so strong that I didn't feel safe going any faster or even maintaining that speed very long considering the huge surface area of these vehicles, their drag etc etc.. I just wouldn't think it possible in a standard everyday production SUV, excluding performance vehicles and tuners.

I cruise at 80 on I-15 daily on my way to work in my 1991 classic 'box' suburban. I don't really go above 85 in that thing, but who would blame me when it has 340,000 miles on it with no engine rebuild. I have gone over 100 in my 1989 silverado though. I wouldn't know exactly how fast because the speedometer only reads to 90, and being the old dish style gadge, the back of the white popped out of the bottom and went all the way to 10mph, so I was atleast going 100. Its not hard. Even for oldies.

I've for sure gone over 90 in mine they're real easy to get it there but now my 7 series feels like your going 60 when your actually going 90 its real nice and smooth

Yeah its a real nice car and it never needs repairs unlike my 7 series it has about as much problems as a my rangerover did but I still love it

my mom had a 2007 yukon denali with the 6.2(without the fuel managment) and we got a sold 19 MPG at a steady 60.
