That was quite a firm and positive landing there... though needs to be so on a shorter field no doubt... You are one lucky lad to ride jump seat . I would be lying if I said I wasn't envious! I sit in your Dad's seat in the PMDG MD11X... probably as close as I will get short of Lufthansa Flight Training's full motion simulator! :) Thanks for posting these!

im sorry but the CWB airport runway is not short... I´ve seen 747´s taking off and landing there... How its possible then?

The runway has only 2,215 m. It's too short! How those planes takeoff? With no load.

Has nothing to see the runway 2215 meters, 1750 meters Victory has 767 full and land cargo, so if you do not know do not speak: D and also in Curitiba land 747.

@thilanmun not exactly empty, but low on power and fuel, the Boeing 747 Cargolux takes off from and go to Campinas because he can not go very far with so much fuel they put it, he loads it and continues the journey, since the MD-11 do not know if it takes off very empty

not too sure if this is the reason why they cannot land when wet, but i suspect the reason is not due to the weight of the airplane, but it is because the MD-11 requires more landing space due to its much higher approach and landing speeds. Ballpark figure: 160-170kts
