Yah the father had to come according to HIS very law. The Law Mandated that He and He as the Father in the flesh DIE so as to keep his word - His act proves he's the ultimate and only true promise keeper. The woman i.e. Israel was divorced - and according to law the HUSBAND only must die to FREE her from that LAW... the NEW Contract is with Jesus and the law in our heart as obedient Children. Well on friday evening, when Sabbath starts I stop everything I do during the week like work, going out with friends etc. I am my Family sing praise from the Hymnal, we read the Bible, Prayer in thanking God for keeping us safe through the week, able to celebrate another Sabbath in rememberance of creation. On saturday, we go to church to praise God through church services. When Sabbath is finised, we pray in thanks for another Sabbath day and ask for safety as we go back to our weekly duties.

Yes, it's pretty simple. We worship God every day, but we cannot afford to not work every day. We'd go hungry and broke. Therefore, Sabbath is that one day you do not conduct business transactions, pay your bills, buy your groceries, or earn any kind of money. That is the day you "set aside" for "concentrated attention" toward your Heavenly Father.

But yet there is no verse saying to observe sunday. That is a tradition. Do you think we keep the Sabbath according to the pharisees? No thats not what God placed the Sabbath for. If everyone kept the Sabbath, we would all be in heaven. Remember spiritual things are spiritually discerned.

From what I hear from you, you are looking at the Sabbath as just a day. Look DEEPER into the meaning of the Sabbath and it's importance and not just a day which is where the fault lies with people.

Heb 4:1-11 is talking about the spiritual and Physical Rest. We need rest as the example of God creating the world in 6days and resting the 7th and rest from our labours of being righteous. If Heb 4:1-11 is only talking about the spiritual, what does the 6days mean?

Col 2:16-23 read Lev 23 and it will tell you about the Sabbath days with a 's' not the Sabbath in the commandment.

Wislee, you know why you keep thinking that Sabbath was for only the Jews? Because you need a bible studying showing you that WE are Israelites. You Wislee are "supposed" to be an Israelite of the Spirit. The wall of partition was demolished at the cross, making both Jew and Gentile of the same tree. Actually, Jesus did teach about Sabbath keeping. "Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil?" (Mark 3:4, Luke 6:9).

Added to that is Jesus' warning to keep the Sabbath AFTER he was gone to heaven: For the tribulation, Jesus said "But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the SABBATH day" (Matthew 24:20). He was referring to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Now why would he say that if He wasn't expecting them to still be observing it?

Wislee, the Jews and Gentiles were being made the "same body" (Eph.3:6). Add that + "Sabbath was made for man" (Mark 2:27). He not only reasoned with them, but he taught them on the Sabbath, just like Jesus taught Jews on the Sabbath. (Acts 13:42-44) Since when is "reasoning" a sin on the Sabbath?

Jesus is not the Sabbath. He is "Lord OF the Sabbath", because he made it. Therefore, since Jesus is our example, he showed us how to keep it. We are to pattern after his character. Sabbath was made at creation, not during the existence of the Jews. This is so easy to understand! If you erase the Sabbath from the immutable 10, you are also forced to erase that we are not to kill, steal, commit adultery, etc. It's "part" of the 10. You can't pick out 9, and leave 1. That's impossible.

We do praise God during the week too but the seventh day Sabbath is a blessed and santified and once it is blessed, it cannot be unblessed. Sadly some people continue to disobey and choose their own day, which the Lord has not blessed or Santified, after having a full knowledge about this, sticking to their traditions Matt 15:9.

But just like when Jesus tells us to do communion in rememberance, we keep the Sabbath in rememberance to who God is. Ezekiel 20:20

No they didnt disobey. When Jesus and the disciples went to get something to eat, it was because they were hungry and they had no time to eat. If I go and buy something from the shop on the Sabbath without having any chance of eating from home, I am entitled to do so. But not to go and buy something because I feel like it. Healing on the Sabbath, Jesus said is it good to do good on the Sabbath? Yes. The Sabbath is not a burden. I don't treat it as the Jews do. They make it a burden upon themself

Christ came down and paid for our sins, but this does not gives us credentials to break the law. His sacrifice simply gives us a "way out". If Christ hadn't died, all the law keeping of us would be in vain. Christ blotted out all the ceremonial laws that were a "shadow" of things to come. The 10 commandments, nor the "weekly Sabbath" were Shaddows. The Sabbaths that were shadows were those annual feast days, also called "Sabbaths" (referred to in Col.2:16-17)

Works proves that we have faith: "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." (James 2:17). (James 2:18) We live by faith alone, but works simply prove it.
